After a third... takeoff from the aircraft carrier. The F-18 climbs up and I can not fix it / balance it with trim. I tried to fix it by using the reset-trim and reset button before takeoff, but not effect. It looks like the trim is not recognized / activated. To I have to press a button in the plane to activate it? Joystick and HOTAS is fine.

What I have done so far: - Master Arm on - AG-Mode - selected HARM - activated TOO-Mode - choose Target (also visible on HUD) I press the button to launch the AGM, but it doesn't fire. Why? When I turn to SP-Mode, I can launch the weapon. Everything looks exactly as in Matts Video...

Is it possible to slew the targeting pod (FLIR) automatically to the current waypoint? What is the right key / procedure?

In the download section I only find the DCS manuals and the A10C manuals. Where are the other manuals (F18, KA50, etc.)?

I was wondering that the F18 has less waypoint information than the a10c, or am I wrong? In the A10C I can give the waypoint a name, that is quite usefull. Ok, there's no pad to enter letters in the F18... or? Also, in the A10C I can choose a different airport through the divert page on the MFD and got all the information about ILS, etc. In the F18 I have to enter the airport location manually by creating an waypoint and entering the coords (from the F10 map), because most of the airports don't have TACAN or VOR (ADF) information. How do you handle this? Do you use the kneeboard a lot?

After taking off I had a beeping sound. Two beeps with increasing pitch and a short break after each sequence. I have no idea what it is and how to disable. There's no warning light, I pressed all buttons to disable warning tones, I muted all volume switches, but the sound still remains. No mode was selected (AA/AG) and master arm off. No bingo fuel. Any idea?

Anybody with experiences about the upcoming valve vr set? I am not sure if I should go with the rift s or the valve set. So far, it looks like the valve vr set has an even higher (slightly) resolution...

Well, these are the settings. It is not accessible during a mission, so I am looking for key to toggle tooltips while flying.

Do we have a key to toggle tooltips on/off during the gameplay? I only found a key for labels on/off.

When I play on vr (probably also on non-vr) and I turn / move my head, the clouds are also turning. Looks strange, they should be steady.

Not sure, if this is a specific fa-18 bug, but it happened, so I report it. It is raining outside, not in the hangar, but I have rain drops on the canopy.

I turned on the ADF (channel 1 or 2, doesn't matter) without setting the correct channel and now I have that terrible cracking sound. How can I turn it off??? I switched off ADF, but the sound remains. I tried to reduce the volume, but I still can hear the sound. It seems that their is no separate button to turn of ADF sounds complete.

Also bei den deutschsprachigen tutorials für die f18 muss nachgearbeitet werden.l Bis man den Text gelesen / zugehört hat und dann die pause entfernt, ist der Flieger bei einigen Mission schon out of fuel. Ist doof, wenn man das Landungstutorial durchführt und dann auf halbem Weg abschmiert. Außerdem ist bei den bisher durchgeführten Tutorials der Fanghaken immer ausgefahren. Vermute das ist ein Bug der aktuellen Version. Was ebenfalls stört - einige Tutorials haben dermaßen viel Text, dass bei einer Fontskalierung (z.B. wegen 4k) der ganze Text gar nicht angezeigt wird. Stattdessen erfolgt ein Clipping im Anzeigefenster. Das ist möglicherweise auch noch ein "Bug" der aktuellen Version.

Agree, and also when I do some training missions, the font is sometimes still small. When the larger font is applied, it is even sometimes not possible to read the whole tutorial text, because of too much text and it is cut. There is no scrolling possible - should be.

If you use a high resolution, any text is hard to read. So there should be a option to change font size also for: + CHAT + Multiplayer server list and please save multiplayer server filter and sort options!

Ich hatte mich gewundert, das bei der A10C der Button für "HOTAS CMS forward" nicht funktioniert. Also rein in die Steuerung und das mapping angeschaut. Die Zeile für "HOTAS CMS forward" ist irgendwie braun dargestellt. Ich habe den Button erneut gemappt. Aber im Spiel gibt es beim Drücken des Buttons als auch der Taste 7 (ebenfalls gemappt) keine Reaktion. Ist diese Funktion deaktiviert oder was bedeutet die Farbe? Ist das ein aktueller Bug? Wenn ich BTN15 lösche, ist das Feld blau und ich kann es mappen. Wenn ich dann allerdings wieder den BTN15 darauf lege, hat die Funktion wieder die gleiche "brauen" Farbe. Irgendeine Idee?

After a mission I landed and rearmed the aircraft at a friendly airport and I can see the attached weapons, however, the system tells me I have zero of ammo. Is there a switch I have do turn to update the weapon system?

The whole map in the KA-50 is in desert color. Please change the water color to blue.

I totally agree - hope they will fix it soon. So far, I press the "auto turn" button till I recognise the aircraft moves torward target direction. But that can't be the solution.

The map is hard to read in vr. Maybe dev-team can change the color of the water on the map (Persian Gulf Map). It is (almost) the same color als land and it's confusing, when you fly across water...

Would be great, if you could enable the buttons to change the brightness and contrast of the MFDs. I need more contrast for my oculus rift...

When I fly at night around vegas, it looks like a brown texture. :( Where are all the lights, the glowing? DCS / ED should work on the lights. All settings at max.

Ja, das ist richtig, ich verwendet TARGET. Im Target-Profil steckt nur das Throttle. Damit die Button-Zuweisungen übereinstimmen, habe ich die Nummerierung auch entsprechend des "HOTAS Throttle" Steuergerätes zugewiesen (vorher ausgelesen und dann entsprechend gemappt). TARGET erstellt bei Aktivierung des Profils ein neues Gerät "Thrustmaster combined". Ich habe nun das "HOTAS Throttle" Profil von DCS in das "Thrustmaster combined" Profil kopiert, trotzdem sind dort im Gegensatz zum "HOTAS..." auch die entsprechenden BOAT-Switch Einstellungen ausgegraut, obwohl das Profil an sich identisch ist... *merkwürdig* Ich verwendet das TARGET Profil, weil ich dort noch TrackIR Mappings untergebracht habe und weil ich die LEDs mit diversen Funktionen / Buttons verknüpft habe. Möglicherweise muss ich auf das TARGET Profil verzichten, wenn es mit dem "HOTAS Throttle" funktioniert. Ich werde das mal testen - fände es aber schade, wenn das die einzige Lösung ist. +++ UPDATE Verwende jetzt das HOTAS Throttle Profil aus DCS, kein TARGET Profil (Thrustmaster Combined). Damit muss ich zwar auf die Beleuchtung des Throttle verzichten, habe dafür aber wieder alle Funktionen.
