Aber nicht vergessen das der Lernaufwand auch wesentlich höher ist(!), bis man alle Funktionen und Systeme verstanden hat und sinnvoll einsetzen kann. Wenn einen das aber interessiert, dann lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall. PS: Es gibt auch einen einfachen Flugmodus. Wer sich aber die A10C kauft, sollte den realistischen Modus wählen.

Sometimes I have a problem with focusing TGP to the steerpoint. What I have done: 1. select the steerpoint 2. press china hat back (long) 3. the TGP diamond is displayed over the steerpoint (TAD MFD), so everything is how it should be Now the problem, that happens in some missions / at some steerpoints: When I make the TGP SOI and move the cursor, the diamond pops out to somewhere. It is even not visible on the map. When I move the cursor long enough it sometimes gets visible, scrolling in from the top of the map view.

But it looks like it will install the whole game again. Estimated download size 18 GB...

For that price I would expect coloured pictures. It is sometimes useful for explaining MFDs.

It's still the same animation. BUT it would be great to have more detailled ground animations, e.g. people mounting weapons when rearming, crew / repair truck is coming to the plane during we wait the 120 seconds... When you eject, you can walk around, so we have the ground/walking animations. Would be great if you could enter another plane or vehicle (if combined arms module is active). Or you leave the briefing room and walk to your plane. Or you just leave and enter the plane with nice pilot animations like star citizen...

Would be great, if you could save the last applied sorting type for the server list, so it is not necessary to set it for every game launch. I'd like to fly by night, so it would be great to see the day time in the mission description once I click on a server. Btw: What does the zero before the server time stand for, e.g. 0/2:30:30 ?

I am using my pedals from the fanatec porsche wheel set and it is absolutly sufficient. The middle pedale is used for braking, so I have all I need for flying, taxing, takeoff. But I agree, w/o the pedals it doesn't make that realistic fun and you really need rudder for takeoff. :)

What's coming next? I like the wishlist and prefer the AH-64D Longbow. But how realistic is it, that we'll see the most wanted helicopter in DCS and what is the timeline for it? Most modules now available are still in beta phase for months... I personally would pay for an F-16 and AH-64D Module, as well as for good maps/sceneries. But the upcoming NTTR map looks to expensive for me. Maybe the internal map editor is to complex or limited to create ambitious maps. In that case I would recommend ED to improve the build process to sell more of these modules to an acceptable price... I am sure, it's worth.

Also die Aussagen von beagle one waren gar nicht so verkehrt und alles schön zu reden hilft auch nicht weiter. Vielleicht ist die Kritik auch angebracht, um den Fokus bei ED entsprechend zu schärfen / zu lenken. Tatsächlich finde ich A10C eine der besten Simulationen und mit TrackIR und HOTAS Warthog ist das echt cool. Aber... Was hat sich die letzten Jahre den getan? Natürlich kamen immer wieder Patches und Updates heraus und warum? Weil ED ständig neue Flugzeuge im Beta Stadium herausbringt, die natürlich gepatched werden müssen. Ein Spiel, was so sehr wie DCS World den Fokus auf MP legt, hat hier noch sehr viel Ausbaumöglichkeiten. Die Oberfläche ist sehr rudimentär, keine Favoriten Server, keine Suche nach Server, Freunden, Mission - noch nicht einmal das Sortieren nach PING geht. Im Spiel sind die Chat-Nachrichten so gut wie nicht lesbar, etc. etc. etc. Ein ordentlicher Ausbau des MP wäre hier absolut angebracht. Ich kann schon verstehen das ED weitere Einnahmen benötigt und deshalb Diversifikation mit immer neuen (beta) Flugzeugmodellen (auch WWII) betreibt. Ich wäre aber auch bereit für allgemeine Verbesserung zu zahlen, bspw. neue Engine (DX11) und neue Karten...

Schade das es in letzter Zeit immer neue Updates für die neuen Flugzeuge gibt, aber an der World Engine (scheinbar) nicht aktiv weitergearbeitet wird. Mittlerweile dürften glaube ich alle Arten von Bomben und Raketen in DCS World simuliert sein und auch mit den 3D Cockpits sollte es keine Probleme mehr geben, als das dort noch wesentlicher Entwicklungsaufwand anfällt. Ob dann ein neues Flugzeug, was auch noch im BETA Statium ausgeliefert wird wirklich 50$ kosten darf, muss jeder natürlich für sich selbst ausmachen. Die Möglichkeit alle Flugzeuge im Multiplayer Modus zu kombinieren ist ja toll, leider wurde aber die Multiplayer-Verwaltung aus meiner Sicht hierfür stark vernachlässigt. - ping funktioniert nicht - keine richtige suchen oder filter Möglichkeit - ... Auch im Spiel ist noch einiges an Verbesserungen für Multiplayer möglich. Angefangen von der Übersichtlichkeit der Spieler, Chat-Farben, Briefing, etc... Würde mich sehr über Verbesserungen in diesem Bereich freuen und natürlich wenn edge endlich käme...

Similar problem here. The server list is sometimes empty, sometimes filled. When I join a game the connection got interrupted or dcs crashes. Hope they fix it soon - I don't need more betas...

Der vollständigkeithalber, die Lösung gab es im englisch sprachigen Forum: Im Spielverzeichnis (nicht savegames) das Throttle Hotas.lua in das Thrustmaster combined.lua kopieren, dann funktioniert es wieder.

There are some advantages with TARGET. Some unused buttons on the throttle are now used for trackIR centering or freezing. The slider, which is not used in DCS A10C, is now used for zooming - great. Unfortunately, the profile doesn't work anymore with Patch 1.28. Looks like 1.28 doesn't recognize the Thrustmaster combined as a valid HOTAS Warthog profile :( Update: SOLUTION HERE: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123656&page=6

Can not confirm. Means the same as loading the profile manually in the controller settings page. Still missing the boat-switch, pinky-switch, ... settings. :( The Throttle - HOTAS Warthog (xxx).lua files are working (boat and pinky switches...), but when I use TARGET and I got Thrustmaster Combined (xxx).lua profile the switches won't work. Even if I copy the content from HOTAS to Combined profile, the switches won't work. Therefore I guess that after the 1.28 Patch the Combined Profile is no longer identified as an valid Thrustmaster warthog profile. What are the .diff.lua files for? Are they new after the patch? Normally I have .lua files for my configuration, but when I want to load a profile it filters for .diff.lua files, which have a totally different file format.

Does the reinstallation of warthog drivers help - Any experience right now? Very anoying bug - why can't they keep the controller settings when updating :( BTW: I just figured out, that thrustmaster has new warthog drivers with firmware 20 for the throttle - I just give it a try... What a pitty - the link on the thrustmaster website for firmware update is totally crap. Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich das Patch installiert, nach dem ich heute mal wieder spielen wollte, viel mir auf das einige Throttle Einstellungen weg sind (boat-switch, pinky-switch, flaps, etc.) - Joystick funktioniert noch. Kann Jemand sagen wie ich die Standardeinstellung wieder in das Spiel bekommen? Möchte jetzt nicht jede Funktion einzel belegen müssen. Teilweise weiß ich gar nicht mal welche Funktion auf welchen Button zu legen wäre, da nicht alle Buttons ein / aus Zustände liefern. Beim Öffnen der Einstellungen in DCS wird nun eine .diff.lua Datei erzeugt. Aber egal ob mit oder ohne (nach dem Löschen der .diff.lua), der Fehler bleibt bestehen. Jemand mit ähnlichem Problem und einer Lösung oder verwendet Jemand das HOTAS WARTHOG und hat nach dem Patch keine Probleme??? UPDATE: Ein Blick in die .lua Datei zeigte, dass noch alle Einstellungen gesetzt sind (boat-switch, pinky-switsch, etc), diese aber scheinbar nicht mehr vom Spiel ausgewertet werden.

Sorry, but this software is crap - hands off!!! I wasted my whole evening and still can't play anymore... I just found the app on the apple store I thought cool, give it try. Installation was easy, but when I start a mission it crashes on half the loading screen. So I decided to uninstall ist. - I have set my previous screen settings (2 screens...) - didn't work, same crash - I manually deleted the installation folder of the addon (why do I have to do this? This should be part of the uninstall procedure...) - no help, mission loading still crashes - at last, I had a look on the bit-shift.com website. The described files that I have to modify manually don't exists - perhaps it refers to DCS A10 and not DCS World, like sobe mentioned I am afraid I have to reinstall DCS World and everything else. I am so disappointed.

All sounds great and I guess it would be an big push for the sim, but I am afraid we will never see it. The first post was 2 years ago and the dev team doesn't really focus on it. Nowadays, we have many new aircrafts I don't care. But EDGE would be a bigger and more interesting step / improvement.

Yeah, I don't need new planes or helicopters they are just released like in an production line... While spreading is necessary to improve sales volume I am sure you can improve some sales with DC. Not sure, why we need an WWII mode and drift away from modern aircrafts and the focus to improve that. Anyway, it's a great sim.

one more - - text shadows for ingame chat some messages are just not readable, because of the sky or ground color which is very similar.
