  1. How about a dedicated FC3 section on this website
  2. Any more on this? I am trying to get the the radar and any other display I can to display on a networked PC. I have Helios working for gauges but Helios does not do displays like MFD's or Radar or VSD. What we need is for someone to write a MFDE application. That works great for Falcon BMS. Very well done. Update: I got the Leavu export working. Bad news is that Leavu and Helios does not play well on my client PC. Leavu displays will flash garbage on the screen when run together. It is a start at least knowing FC3 can export some of the displays.
  3. I just purchased FC3 and currently use Helios on a networked PC. I have Loophole's Export script working and the gauges are all working in Helios on the networked PC. Is there a way to export the MFCD (and other items) and display them on a networked PC? I am guessing this is a long shot at best but I have to ask. :helpsmilie:
  4. Just getting back into this during the winter and purchased FC3 during their sale. I tested your script and it works fine with my current FC2 skin on my secondary PC and touchscreen. I guess I need to go back and see if I am missing any of the possible gauges. Now I need to look into exporting the Radar and other items. Thanks for your work.
  5. Not sure why others can't see this on the Helios site so here is what I posted: My Lockon FC2 profile. Used on a Samsung ELO 24" touchscreen running 1280X960 A couple of the controls were borrowed from ICE's BMS profile. Much thanks to all the others that have shared their profiles as well as help. I use this on a networked PC and send the keystrokes back using a small app called GPT utility by GiGurra (just using his KeyComReceiver/Transmitter apps). It works great. You can get them here: http://gigurra.se/gurrasPitTools/ Anything Helios sends on the networked PC will be also be done on the Game PC. Works well and was easy to setup. I also used the Export.lua file for Lockon FC2 from the FC2 F-15c Eagle Pit profile available in the downloads overdhill-lofc2.rar
  6. I uploaded the profile Goto http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com Look under downloads User profiles
  7. I still am checking out all the keybinds. Take a look at the screen and see if there are any controls that should be there. I am new to FC2 so not totally familiar with all the controls used.
  8. Well anything would be better than nothing. I tried a couple different Export.lua files and get nothing on my FC2 Helios profile. Any chance to look at FC3 yet as it is what I would like to migrate to. Thanks OverDhill
  9. I just installed DCS World and it runs pretty well on my new PC. I was wondering what if any options do I have in getting Helios and the SU-25T to play together (other than theobvious key sends) for things like gauges and MFD? OverDhill
  10. Nothing new on this? I would love to at least have the gauges in Helios working on a networked PC. I was never able to get LEAVU working properly as it flashes graphic garbage when the game starts to update the MFD's. Sure would be nice in MFDE worked with FC2 and FC3 as it runs so smooth and does a lot of gauges and other items. Kinda sad that this kind of tech seems to be going backwards as these new sims are released. Helios and MFDE running on my 24" networked touchscreen really is pretty sweet for Falcon BMS. I would love to get FC3 and do the same but it seems rather silly to have this virtual cockpit and not be able to take advantage of it. For now I would settle for Helios working with FC3 as much as it does FC2. At least I could get the gauges and then handle the controls with keybinds.
  11. Here is the latest screen since I purchased the Thrustmaster Warthog and have all my keybinds for F15 done. I will probably upload it to the Helios site if anyone is interested.
  12. I am sure this has been asked before but a search did not yield and answer. Is it possible to copy the joystick, throttle and rudder configs from one aircraft to the others or does some of the aircraft have different amount of controls than others?
  13. Does anyone know if Helios is going to work with FC3? Would also be nice if the MFD and RWR were extractable to a networked PC as well. One can dream..... Also is FC3 going to have options like FC2 for newbies.
  14. Well while I am waiting for my joystick replacement after sending back the X-52 Pro I decided to work on my Helios screen to be used with my 24" ELO touchscreen. Here is a work in progress so far OverDhill
  15. I have seen a few threads that list the must have MOD's for FC2 but they are all dated somewhat. What is the recommended list of MODS people prefer to improve the overall look and feel of this game? I also would prefer they be online compatible. Right now I have the Realsound V5 installed Thanks for any suggestions OverDhill
  16. I am trying to understand how the thrust is setup for my joystick. In the key bindings it shows this Num+ Power Up Num- Power Down PageUp Thrust Up PageDown Thrust Down Num+ - RAlt Power Up Left Num- - RAlt Power Down Left PageUp - RAlt Thrust Up Left PageDown - RAlt Thrust Down Left Num+ - RShift Power Up Right Num- - RShift Power Down Right PageUp - RShift Thrust Up Right PageDown - RShift Thrust Down Right Also under axis it shows thrust and then right and left thrust First what is the 'power' keys used for? Second if I only have a single thrust axis on my joystick so should I just use the 'thrust' axis and it will control both right and left? There are times when flying that the jet just doesn't seem to want to go very fast. The engine RPM's are at 95% and level flight, thrust axis on the joystick is almost to max (right before afterburners kick in) and yet the jet is going slow enough that I get the 'minimum speed' warning. Not sure what is going on. The joystick tests fine in the control panel before and after the game. In fact if I exit and restart the game it is back to working fine for awhile. OverDhill
  17. I realize that Lockon FC2 doesn't have a clickable cockpit but I am trying to visualize where things are that I am pressing. I am used to the Falcon MFD's somewhat but the F-15C has VSD. So where is the buttons I am using like the I key to turn on the radar or 2 for BVR mode since the VSD does not look like it has the 20 buttons surrounding it? By the way does FC3 have a clickable cockpit? OverDhill
  18. I would jump on FC3 in a heartbeat if we could export MFD's and gauges to a networked PC with a touchscreen. So you have my thumbs up. Wish I could get LEAVU working for FC2 on my system (well it works but the MFD's flash terribly when the game is updating it)
  19. I would jump on FC3 in a heartbeat it there was a way to extract MFD's and gauges to a networked PC. Seems we are kinda regressing in this area as MFDE and Helios makes a great combo for Falcon BMS. Such a shame DSC doesn't just build this into their sims these days.
  20. Actually you can use Helios on a networked PC and send keystrokes. I do this for Falcon BMS as well as a couple other games using the GPT utility by GiGurra (just using his KeyComReceiver/Transmitter apps). It works great. You can get them here: http://gigurra.se/gurrasPitTools/
  21. Well I had to send my new X52 Pro set back for a refund. After a couple weeks it kept losing the calibration which called for an unplug or reboot in Win7. Also I noticed what others have said about the huge deadzone. Yes there is a mod but quite frankly I am glad I didn't hop on that and void the warranty. I might try and pick up a used X45 set off Ebay to try. I have read it had less of a deadzone issue. Hard to believe that for $180 they can't build a better joystick. I would probably buy a Fighterstick if I had the money. I wore out the old Flightstick Pro I had then just replaced all the pots and was good to go. CH Products was much better at support back then. They sent me the new pots free of charge. I played around with the Pro Throttle USB when it was first out and was not impressed. I liked the X52 Pro one much better. Just wished the stick was better. Right now I stuck my old Cyborg Evo back on and geez I can fly again. It doesn't have the wide deadzone so I am not oversteering the jet all over the place. So has anyone else had lost calibration issues with their X52? How about the deadzone problem?
  22. I have LEAVU running as a client on a WinXP machine with a 24" touchscreen monitor. The MFD's are updating from LOFC2 but I am having an issue where the MFD screens are flashing terribly when being updated from the game. When the game is not running they are fine but of coarse static. I am not sure why. At times when I run LEAVU the MFD will show the radar then part of another app that was on the desktop but no longer on the desktop. Could this be a video card driver or java version problem? Weird... but makes it unusable at the moment. Any ideas? OverDhill
  23. Well persistence paid off and I now have LEAVU and Helios running on the networked machine. I created a very simple profile with just a couple gauges and buttons. The gauges work fine but the buttons don't. With Falcon BMS I used GPT keysender to get past that but not sure how they are handled in FC2. Does LEAVU send keys back to FC2? My biggest issue at the moment is that the MFD screens are flashing terribly. I am not sure why. At times when I run LEAVU the MFD will show the radar then part of another app that was on the desktop (such as the Helios control panel). Weird... but makes it unusable at the moment. Any ideas? 24. G3 I am playing with your eagle pit profile. I am running Helios on a second PC with a 24" touchscreen. I followed your install instructions and have the LEAVU MFD's working from FC2. However on page two at the bottom you state to start a new profile and add a FC2 interface. Since there is no local install of FC2 I am not sure how to do the "setup Flaming Cliffs" Also in step 3 you say to open the supplied profile called "eagle pit v2.x" When I do that it will ask to save the new profile I just started. No matter if I save it or not when the eagle pit profile is loaded there is no longer a FC2 interface tab. Also under add interface there is no FC2 option. Needless to say I could use your help in getting this to work for FC2 on a networked PC. I have Falcon BMS working fine on this networked touchscreen and have created my own profile so I think I have a decent grasp of Helios for the most part. Thanks OverDhill
