  1. End result should be the same but I haven’t used CS6 in a long time so I can’t say for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This really is done the same way I showed earlier with Fill layers. :) Do not equate what you see in Photoshop to be an exact rendition in DCS. Because of PBR etc you'll find colors more vivid inside DCS than they may appear in Photoshop. That's why I find Fill layers so great in my workflow because it's easy to adjust while checking in ModelViewer. :) Here is a screenshot of my settings inside PS to get those results I showed earlier. Note that I turned off most weathering EXCEPT the panellines layer. The Fill layer has an opacity of 64% in this example.
  3. The PhoenixPylons should be PHOENIXRAILS I believe in the first line. {"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXRAILS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXPYLONS",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS_01",false}; The first entry is the model name and can’t be changed. The second is your texture name. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you are a college student or employee of an educational institution then you can probably get it much cheaper.
  5. I may do a short screen recording of making a basic livery if there is enough interest. The best way to get used to our layout is probably to just mess around. Create a subfolder inside the Liveries folder and play around with different colors and opacities.
  6. These are made in Photoshop CC and will be the most compatible with that. There are people who use GIMP but since I do not, I can't offer much assistance. Maybe one of the GIMP experts will chime in.
  7. Also one here. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hmmmm. That's odd. It looks correct from what I can see. This is one of my helmets. {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", 1 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET_NRM",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET_RoughMet",false}; Sent you a PM.
  9. Here are the most commonly used ones. Bolded ones differ slightly from file name in Paint Kit. {"HB_F14_EXT_01", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_01",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_02", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_02",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_03", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_03",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_04", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_04",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_LEFT_01", 0 ,"HB_F14_WING_LEFT",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT", 0 ,"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_RIO_HELMET", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_RIO_HELMET",false}; {"HB_F14_TCS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_TCS",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXRAILS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXPYLONS",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS_01",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANKS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANK",false}; {"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1", 0 ,"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_SUIT", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_SUIT",false}; As for the less common ones I will have to defer to the all mighty, fearless leader.
  10. You’ll find most if you go through the different livery luas. :) Hint: They are usually the name of the psd. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. We are getting the hug of death at moment. :( Sorry about that.
  13. Not sure what you mean? To get an all red Tomcat you would just need make a layer that's red within your own livery folder and play around with the color and opacity. Can you post a screenshot of your issue?
  14. Lower the opacity of your layers in the livery folder. :) You'll find that DCS will make things stronger than they appear in Photoshop so do experiment with the Modelviewer to get the right look.
  15. Check the dimensions of your .dds. The only real reason it would move is for it to be different from 4096x4096.
  16. Yep. I noticed that also. Will fix. Thanks. :)
  17. Yes. It would need to download the difference in files between the Stable and Open Beta. How large the download is I can’t say as I’ve never installed the Stable branch. Maybe somebody else can assist and chime in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hi there. Currently, the DCS: F-14 is only available in the OpenBeta 2.5.428461.
  19. Thank you! I will fix those ASAP
  20. Crew chief recommends landing with gear down. Joke aside, we are investigating.
  21. You will need to enable the Open Beta in Steam. Find DCS World in your list of games. Right click and select properties. Then select the Beta tab and opt in for the openbeta - Public Beta Versions.
  22. Black files usually means that you're using the Nvidia DDS plugin and not the Intel one. https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin
