Still better than any of mine. I'm catching up though. ;)

Yes, with a ring of salt to keep the bad ju ju away. :)

I do 3D too. Now, who wants tea?

That's yet to be determined for sure... :P

It's easy mathematics. We know the awesomeness of -Rudel- so that's our constant. Then we just divide it by 1,000,000 and get 744mm. :)

Question for panel makers - engraving.. how do you do it?

Question for panel makers - engraving.. how do you do it? Have you tried without air assist? I find that my engravings turn out better without air but you would of course need it when cutting. -

Varsågod. :) There are some pics in my build thread that shows the LED lighting but they are early tests. -

LaserMax sheets are thin and LED's will shine through it easily. I used the regular Black/White and the green light has no problem going through. It's almost too bright at times. -
Right now I just have some $5 toggles from Fry's Electronics. Very cheap and nothing fancy at all. I plan on upgrading them as I find the funds.
-
Since my job is where I have the laser I don't think so. ;) But if anyone would be interested I can easily make some. :)

Thanks Deadman!! I was considering doing that but ended up with this modular solution incase I decide on having static needles. Then I can just unscrew the rings and pop something in. Also, it makes troubleshooting easier but it looks less original. I will have to think some more about lowering it in to the panel which would look a lot better.

Thanks. Most of the text should be fairly close. It's the numbers inside the gauge and the Oxygen Supply Pressure that feels too small.
-
Here's my rendition of the Oxygen panel. It still needs a middle layer and some touches of paint. :) Text is too small though. :(
-
Someone just pointed out that I switched places on APU and inverter. :( Good thing I messed up the paint and was going to redo it anyway.
-
Looks great! I'll keep my eye on this one. :)

Yeah, I have about 6 or so more holes in my backplate to fill with LED's. Mostly on the left lower side. :)
-
At the moment I'm running four instances of 4 3v LED's in series so that makes 16. Probably overkill but I wanted some uniform coverage. Only got a 20 pack from Amazon and killed a few just messing around. I did find 150 of the same LED's on ebay for the same price I paid for these though so in a few weeks I should be drowning in them. :)
-
Here's the back light. About 80% done but I ran out of LED's. :( In person the panel isn't quite that bright though and there are some darker areas in the middle of Flood in EMER FLOOD but I can live with that. :)

I cut an Elec panel last week. Take a look: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100364 I can easily run one more but this one is sized for me @ 5.7" wide but I could size it to your liking. I use LaserMax for the top layer so the text comes out nice and bright. Shoot me a PM for more details if you're interested. Ens

agrasyuk, have you considered cutting out the markings as stickers using a laser and a sticker sheet like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRIGHT-YELLOW-VINYL-Roll-Sheet-Adhesive-Sticker-Decal-/400163645297

The screws are just something I had in the office too keep the pieces together. There will be better ones on there soon. Painting is tricky but I have no doubt that good masking will make it pretty easy. What worries me is the LED placement and such. :) Right now there isn't even a framework. I wanted to make sure I could get the panels out in a decent quality before even trying and now I can use them to size the whole framework making the gaps between panels perfect. :)

Thanks! Something tells me I will need it. :D

Hello everyone! Started working on my pit today. This is my first cut and I went for the Electrical Power panel. :) Have a look. Please excuse the crappy photo. I'm too excited to wait until it's painted and put in my little lightbox.
