  1. You would know better than me I don't fly the Mustang, but I have not noticed this while flying in formation in a F-15. I at first I thought it was a torque reaction but that wouldn't make sense as it has been reported to happen with the L-39 and F-86.
  2. Seems legit to me, as you increase your climb, your speed drops and your pulling back on the stick. Your AoA rises, the slower the more AoA and if you pull back just a bit to hard (just a nudge) it will induce loss of lift for that brief moment. Happens in all planes. Looks like you were doing about 265 knots @ 3.5g in an old air-frame. At the moment of the stall the airspeed needle dropped from to 305ish to 301 very rapidly. I say its a stall, try replicating it at 3g or even 2.5. Im not saying its not a bug and it very well could be but, 9/10 its pilot error or a misinterpretation.
  3. For the old client its either 512 or 1024 cant think of the top of my head.
  4. The chat needs fixed all together. I like the feature of being able to scroll through to previous text but the window is in the way and it takes time away in combat by clicking, not to mention my biggest pet peeve thus far is the fact that you lose joystick button inputs while the window is open in a middle of a text. I don't know who made this feature, but I think it is not the best choice for an Air combat sim. Please go back to the old text location at the top left and keep the scroll feature and fix the input problem. P.s: The current kill message is puzzling me, why the change of format not a big deal but for example: Kill "name" AIM-120C "name" does not make sense to me as the old version did, example: Blue player "name" Killed Red player "name" AIM-120C.Another one that could have been used: "name" Killed "name" AIM-120C. The new messages, if read out loud, sound like a cave man is reading it.
  5. And us as the 104th in f-15's don't use slats/flaps in a DF it kills speed and inertia in a sustained turn. A f-16 has max turn rate is just under 20 degrees a second @15000 and that is lower than the f-15 as it is around 22-23 of course there are a lot of various factors involved like altitude and weight but at or above 15000 feet the f-15 will win.
  6. The plane is only as good as its pilot, that being said the 2000c would be worse in a dogfight than both because of the delta wing and the only advantage the delta wing would have over the two would be speed because of the payload and weight but that's asking a lot for 1 engine.:D
  7. On the 104th random crash, here are my logs.:joystick: Crash and dump log.rar
  8. What about weather? Cold outside? Wind Direction? Pitot Heat on? These are all variables taken into account and may give a false reading. Not saying your wrong but weather can do strange things.
  9. Well each joystick is independent so your stick axis RZ is not the same as your Rudder. Depending on what your setting up say rudder input..... you can assign all of your components as a rudder. and that is not what you want. make sure you click axis assign and if you have multiple axis's for your rudder you must delete those commands. Only assign one rudder axis and make sure only one is selected between your joystick/throttle/rudder.. the same applies for the toe brakes. What I do is delete all the inputs and go through 1 by 1 that way I know there is nothing conflicting with each other. Now for the toe brake just make sure to invert the axis input, and as far as I know the only aircraft to use toe brakes are the A-10c F-15 and TF/P-51. Rudder Left/Right is for a key command for a keyboard or key pad or maybe a button. What you want is in Axis assign, since you have an axis dedicated for that reason.

  11. Put all three in this area: C:\Users\*yourname*\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\F-15C\joystick
  12. Really, all missiles? I don't think so, the ER works just fine ET's 73's Aim-9 All work fine, The Sparrow is ok but can be better. I understand that the all the missiles have been effected but the 120 has taken the biggest hit in this game. What some of you are not getting is how powerful the 120's are. Yes I know if I fire at someone and they crank left the right its gonna bleed the energy but.. the 120 already losses energy from the loft making it even worse. But its more than that. The Guidance system is off by a long shot. There is no reason the 120 should lose track after being supported past Pitbull less than 15 nm from the rail. So the pilot has what 10 seconds to maneuver their jet and chaff hoping the missile goes for the bait, might work every now and then but not every time. I have even had 120's come off the rail with no timer (dead). 120 is by far the worst A2A missile in the game thus far, hell probably be better off killing someone by waving your hand at them.
  13. My post isn't about me or my piloting skills nor about me being shot down because I didn't go defensive fast enough or pop chaff or flares, its about 120 being garbage considering the real missile can kill a target 30+ miles away. I suggest watch some tacviews and maybe you will see what 75% of everyone else has seen. Stop trying and judge the player and open your eyes to the big picture, or is it to hard to concede what the problem is. I guess this guy has no Idea what he is talking about I guess he sucks at flying the F-15 too. Open your eyes Frostie, I know your a good pilot, but don't put blame on people when you dont know what your talking about.
  14. Ding, I for one hope that these 120's are fixed getting real sick of these things bleeding speed right away and the tracking is so poor ATM. I swear for every 2 that I launch 1 is a dud right from the rail even 10 miles away perfect lock head on. This S*** needs fixed, its not right. As of right now some people will say "Well the game is balanced with the 120's being utter crap" HA, this is a simulator every thing should be made to spec as close as possible. There is no such thing as balancing in a simulator. If you want balancing go play warthunder or world of war planes. Other wise lets get the ball rolling here. :joystick:
  15. Lets just say the test were done at 45k. even in the sim 120-c cant get a kill from 30 miles. Supposedly the operational rang is 57nm and operational means KILL otherwise the missile is not operating.
  16. Engine solid-fuel rocket motor Wingspan 20.7 inches (530 mm) (AIM-120A/B) Operational range • AIM-120A/B 55–75 km (30–40 nm)[3][4] • AIM-120C-5 >105 km (>57 nm)[5] • AIM-120D (C-8) >180 km (>97 nm)[6] Speed Mach 4 Guidance system INS, active radar The info for this is out there not secret. FIX IT. Have a nice day.
  17. I know I'm just sick of people that want, want, want, but don't give anything back. The wish list gets bigger and ED is trying to keep their composure and not fail at the task at hand. It don't help with the whole community breathing down their back. just hold off on the wants for a while and everything will soon fall into place. You never know sometimes.
  18. Can you guys stop asking for new stuff for the game already that crap is getting old and the game is getting more and more unstable. Let ED fix the bugs first, get the sim stable then then put the sprinkles on the ice cream. Some of you really should think before you post a new topic.
  19. All you did was crank. you didn't try to beam him until it was to late you should have just split-s and ran. Edit** Also the ER is quicker than the 120 keep that in mind.
  20. I personally think that the AC is not sensitive at all you just have to adjust to it like in real life, it's a fighter. The performance is there if u need it. If you fly smooth and with precision like real pilots do its not bad. another thing to keep in mind is that any abrupt movement to a stick with with any high performance AC is going to lose control because of the sudden airflow over the fuselage is being directed in another direction. Trust me if your smooth with it it will bring you back home.
  21. I have been getting the same message what I did was just load the training/tutorial and deleted the triggers and everything except the Huey and extraction group and moved them around and duplicated or what have you and that seems to work for me. I noticed it happens when you try to create a mission from scratch and you load the CTTS.lua in the Initialization file. I do NOT know how to fix it. but that is the walk around I used
