  1. Will it be possible to fly A-10Cs at the firehouse at some point?
  2. I just got FC3 to fly the F15, problem is when I try to take off and increase throttle it makes a very sharp turn to the right and I end up out in the grass. I've tried correcting with rudder but it dosn't really help...usually it turns very suddenly and very sharp. Can't figure out exactly what I'm doing wrong here and hope someone might be able to help out.
  3. Looking forward to it. Btw, am I right in thinking that your TS supports TARS? have been wanting to give it a go.
  4. For some reason I can't get on the server...it's just stuck at "connecting to server" and nothing ever happens. Been able to log on to others though. Anyone else had this problem?
  5. Hmm will see if I can gather the "nerve" to join in, does sound like a hoot and need all the practice I can in the Hog ^^
  6. For me it's two things. Firstly that I have a mild social anxiety, so joining a teamspeak channel is a bit hard to for me. Second is as you mentioned...or in my case being scared of messing something up like flying into someone or the like. I have done one private co-op mission though with one other person, but going on a multiplayer server and running missions with alot of people on is still rather intimidating. I think the main thing is that this isn't exactly like any other multiplayer game...if you play multiplayer in Battlefield, worst thing that happens is that you die and/or your team lose and you have to wait 5-10min for the next match. In DCS on the other hand, 5-10min is what it takes to just getting ready to taxi...theres a heck of alot that can go wrong. Also I know at least for me personally the thought of having to "perform" around others in a flight sim is more intimidating than if it was an FPS for instance.
  7. Gotcha ^^ guess an estimated time of availability is to much to ask for at this stage of the production?
  8. Sadly can't help you with the measurements as I don't know how the real ones are or what's fitting for rudder pedals. That being said, seeing that you're working on these have thrown out any doubt I had about what pedals to get...can't wait to see the finished product and for you to be able to take order on them ^^ Btw, is it just the pedals you're changing from your other ones or are you making other adjustments?
  9. Guess that's the main thing there...even though you may one day lose interest in flying for a bit, you still build something awesome with your own hands. Guess its sorta the same as buying an old broken car and spending ten times as much money on fixing it up as you spend on the car itself ^^
  10. I'm not sure if it's the right forum or not but it does have something to do with inputs and outputs. I was thinking earlier today of when immersion becomes "to much", where is the limit of when it starts to get silly. I've just gotten into flight sims in a serious way and begun designing my first pit and I slowly start expanding what I want to do with it. And then I got to thinking it would be kinda cool with a homemade g-seat...and even cooler with a helmet with build in headphones, trackIR and mic...and a flightsuit. That got me to thinking, like I already mentioned: where is the line of when it becomes to much? The way I see it is this: I'll never be a fighter pilot...chances are I'll never be any form of pilot so sims is the only chance for me to feel like a fighter pilot. It's the same reason I'm very keen on using the correct lingo and procedures, and I'm thinking, why not expand the sensation to not only include what you see and do but also what you feel...get it as immersive as possible. So, what is your take on this?
  11. That is amazing, would love to try to do something similar for my future simpit. I can't help but wonder though...there must be a max limit on ones weight in a system like that? I'm a pretty big guy and fear that either the system wont work or it would break under the weight. How sturdy exactly is it?
  12. Just ran it, said no calibration data was found.
  13. Yes I've looked at that and that section in particular, but the links given are dead. I sort of know what the problem is, but not why it happened or how to fix it...the computer simply reads the throttle as being centered, it shows that in the saitek X52 controle panel.
  14. Already tried that, but worth trying again I guess.
  15. Didn't help anything sadly...no idea how this happened.
  16. I have no profile installed, never even looked at that.
  17. Yeah, as soon as I move it a mm it matches the physical movements exactly.
  18. Looks to be the same in WarThunder at least. When I go into the control panel I see this: So must be something to do with the software perhaps, as the throttle axis here says that it's centered.
  19. So I've used my X52 pro stick and throttle for some time now and all of a sudden it's starting to behave strangely. It behaves like it only have two settings: in the middle and full forward. I dunno exactly how to explain it differently and don't know how to fix it or how it even happened. Physically the throttle is pulled all the way back but in the game and in the control panels it acts as if it starts in the middle. Hope someone can help me figure out how to solve this...I've already tried re-installing the software and driver.
  20. Is that the same as throwing your kids out the door to jettison? And as a follow up to my last comment in this thread...when you spend almost a whole day making this:
  21. ...when you're home sick so you start making an MFCD in Autodesk Inventor. ...which I'm doing at the moment...
  22. So I ended up going to the Aerobatics server and fly around a bit, and without a doubt a better experience to just flying alone. And to make it even better I did a co-op mission with another member on this board and it was absolutely the most fun I've had in a long time, very cool to experience. I'm absolutely, 100% hooked now and the best thing is it shows you what you need to work on and get better at. Just thought I'd share that little update to the thread. ^^
  23. I'm experiencing something weird. When I'm starting up the hog and have the throttle on idle some times it'll just start rolling forwards ever so slowely...I do have anti-skid on, if that's got anything to do with it. I'm thinking perhaps it could be my physical throttle...perhaps something in the programming or the like that's making the game think the throttle is activated (it's an X52 Pro).
  24. Well it's a matter of preference I guess, prefere the look of the "combat style"..though I might be more inclined towards the others if they were black. A part of me wanna go "I'll just make my own!"...but I'm a smith, not an electrician sadly ^^
  25. I actually really really like the simped ones, design wise mostly, but from what I hear you can't get them anymore. Though the crosswinds get positive reviews I just can't dig the look and that's enough for me to not get them sadly even if I had the money :/ I may start out with the saitek combat pedals and focus on spending fun-money on upgrading my stick, getting MFCD's etc and hope some time in the future something like the simpeds comes out again.
