  1. But...In my case and the reason I reported this, is I used ALL rounds(both AP and HE on the m113 within range and there was ZERO damage.
  2. yeah...just had this conversation with a tanker/general dynamics guy and in his opinion those APC's would be heavily damaged within engagement range of shark.
  3. spall liners for crew compartment...but is the engine compartment protected from spall??
  4. yeah I wonder about this too, but I really had no idea what kind of damage to expect on a btr since it is I believe more armoured than a m113. As for a bradley ,I believe its aluminum as well but with armoured plates hung off of it...making it tougher than a m113
  5. your trk is engaging with missiles...I'm referring to cannon. My thinking is ,the m113 is made of aluminum, and should be vulnerable at longer ranges with HE or sabot.
  6. Ok,so I tried it again but could only do damage within 1-1.5 km range and only from the side with sabow rounds...it laughed off the HE pretty much which is surprising.
  7. It didn't save, so no trk file....I'll have to try and rerun the mission to see if it will capture the issue again....sucks
  8. huh?...must be the wrong trk.{I probably dragged the smoke trk from other thread by mistake...unless its a save glitch) I'll resend the right one..hopefully.

  10. Ok I missed a bunched...but I hit it a bunch too...with all ammo types. No damage???? 113.trk
  11. Was able to fix the save trk file issue by deleting the saved game dcs folder...here is the trk file...is this normal for smoke? test.trk
  12. No change after deleting AMD files...I'm not using MSI afterburner or any overclocks...will try disabling override settings next. edit...still no change with overrides off, all smoke related animations are still cartoonlike...overly so.
  13. No change...meta folder still empty...and cannot save trk files. Did not delete AMD folder files as it wouldn't let me due to files being in use(also I don't really want to mess with that folder due to profiler settings for multiple games...nor do I feel I should have too). Edit ...with that said, is it safe to delete those folders?...will it affect other games or profiles? I have no idea what's in there Animations still look slow in frame rendering. Why would the meta folder be empty anyways?? Would application override settings have anything to do with it? EDIT of an edit...my mistake, the files in the AMD folder are bin not iso (mistook the icon=file extension, they are using power iso icons for some reason)...but...could it be that windows isn't accessing the bin files because power iso is slated to handle bin files via power iso's default setup? Therefore not loading the shaders in DCS?? dcs.log
  14. Cannot delete all that's in AMD folder(not sure I want to anyway as I have other games with profiles), metashader folder was empty. Going in now.

  16. Big difference...trk file viewed on my system is displaying the issue I've reported...animation speed is about half(maybe more) I really see it in the fire as well. Again engine "dirty smoke" or wing tip trails are fluid, which is making me wonder what's up with the other animations. If I had to describe it ...It looks like a 1940's putt putt from a car cartoon
  17. that's exactly what I did but it would not save....your smoke via video is much more fluid. I'll load it into game now to compare

  20. Videos are too big to upload here and since its a graphic issue, I'm not sure they would show up on your machine(like the btr trk you sent me awhile back).Would a trk file show you what I see?
  21. No change in latest patch...smoke, burning vehicles, missile trails animations are still animating like its "stop frame photography ". Strange thing is, engine exhaust and wing tip contrails are fluid. Why the difference?
  22. all these animations look like they are in stop frame photography, animations switch from 1 frame to another...no fluidity at all...looks horrible
