  1. I mean just switching between Nav mode and any other radar mode.
  2. when in enroute mode in a mig, the distance counter tracks distance to waypoint.But when you switch on the radar systems,it stops giving distance?I had always thought it was a redunant system therefore tracks regardless of system employed?...is this how its supposed to work or is it a bug?:huh:

  4. See now thats what I find strange...isn't it a simple matter of adjusting the ambient lighting in the cockpit????which should be in the pit by nature...no?Cockpit lights on...cockpit lights off/dim...pull down NVG goggles on helmut...go blow shit up.Why the need for an intergrated system?:huh:
  5. I did it a different way... All I did was go into my f-1c keyboard and find the entry for autothrust,copied and pasted it into the su-27 and saved.I didn't have too remap anything.Mind you I have the fly-all mod working as well ,so that may have allowed me to do that.I just didn't see a need to delete anything as you suggested?Works great now.thanks for the help.

Why no night vision?for obvious reasons I think.I mean its just a pair of goggles that you can buy at a sports store?A-10 pilots can aford that I'm sure:music_whistling: Why no auto thrust.It was necessary for the hotas(hard to get to buttons when its pushed forward) and F-15 has it working?Why not the russian birds?:joystick: We've noticed that weapons arent showing up in the pylons in multi ...host sees them but client doesn't.This happened yesterday on my mig where I saw 2 rocket pods and the host saw 4.I was carrying 4 and was able to use 4 but only saw 2:cry: Can we put the shkval on a separate monitor like in blackshark?:noexpression:
  7. What/where, numbers do I need to input to have the su-30 cockpit.As it is its buried inside the planes fuselage.I suppose its an XYZ co-ordinate?But where is the number set that needs editing?

I'm kinda confused by this discussion.What are we talking about here?...the capabilities of two airforces in the past or present?Have ED simply upgraded the AC based on what they have access too,or based on what is known.Big difference. If we're to fight an imaginary war in todays timeline...then its only fair that the aircraft that both airforces would deploy be represented.If they can't model the AC because its classified,then don't model the senerio.Do the senerio that you have ALL the info on.If that means 1990...so be it.Ya don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that if war broke out today,Russia would have su-35/whatevers in the air in record time.Carrying R-77's and better weapons too boot.But also remember,NATO would have their raptors/jointstrikes and euro's.I find it especially strange that a developer in russia has more info on nato AC ...than its own.But I'm guessing here,as it just seems that way. Bottom line is,this is a game,and games should be fair.So as not too sacfice realism the timeline should represent the balance of its day.As it is in real life.IMO...a decent attempt should have been made to do a modern Russian AC equal to the Eagle.Whatever AC that may be.Su-30mki,Su-35.So I ask the question,If I'm a Russian pilot at war with NATO in 2010...What am I flying and what have I got to shoot with????:joystick:

I think ALOT of peoples concern is that FC has finally gotten to a point were its got decent performance on a middle of the road pc(with or without community mods)_...BS simply needs more horespower than FC to get the same performance.If FC gets the same engine as BS,what happens to our performance in FC??Sounds as though it will bottom out UNLESS it gets a good optimizing.Which I'm not so confident its goin to get.Can ED make any assurances that this will happen? In other words,if I "UPGRADE"...will it in fact be an upgrade?Or will I have to upgrade my pc to run it as I run FC now???This makes it doubly so if its a multiplayer session. I thinks its only fair to note as well that I still run on XP not Windows 7
  12. Theres too many posts to go through to see if this has been asked and answered so here goes. Will we be able to setup a second monitor to display the Su25 targeting camera independently like we can in Black shark?
  13. did you engage them???,maybe you have to kill a few first?.I had killed most of the convoy(about 5 tanks) when I noticed them doing this.

I noticed I've had a major reduction in performance since 1.03...then I noticed the challanger tank's commander camera thing on top of the turret was spinning around at a VERY fast speed...like it thought it was a radar or something.I wondered if this was causing a problem as that is alot of animation that doesn't seem to be working right.Unless of course thats how its supposed to work?(which I don't think it is??)Or is it some sort of laser blocking/reflecting device?

  17. OK...hers the senerio.Two installations,one old, one new.Same saitek x42 profile.What file/files can I adopt from the old install to match the new install to the saitek profile??So I don't have to go through the pain of resetting the controler setup in the interface???:helpsmilie::joystick:
  18. A simple yet workable solution is(if you can)...increase your monitor brightness setting for night flights(your computer monitor not the ingame targeting monitor)works for me.

Seems to me the issue is plain.the ka-50 works in conjunction with the ka-52's, the 52's being command and control,and the 50's the worker bees.So less numbers of the more advanced model would be required to build.In relation to the game..an AI commander in the hokum makes sense(and there actually is one in the game I believe...just not active...but there is an active Mi-28 which would do) I found this quote... "The success of any combat operation to support ground forces on the battlefield depends to a large extent on the joint combat actions of group combat helicopters. A group commander flying in a combat formation is responsible for control over subordinate helicopters. His helicopter should be fitted with more sophisticated equipment compared to the rest of the group to make him see better targets on the battlefield and be able to ensure target designation and distribution, provide for constant control over group combat helicopters and maintain communications with a ground command post. The scope of tasks assigned to the commander frees him from helicopter piloting. Consequently, he should fly in a two-seat flying combat vehicle. The Ka-52, designated Alligator, multi-role all-weather combat helicopter, is intended for this purpose as a two-seat modification of the Ka-50 combat helicopter. Pilots accommodated side-by-side in one cockpit can fly this helicopter and handle all on-board systems. The Alligator retained all combat capabilities of its predecessor, including the whole array of weaponry. It is outfitted with a multifunctional on-board integrated electronic flight, navigation and weapon control system. Its passive/active observation/search and sighting systems ensure target search and their attack day/night in any weather conditions. The Sextant Avionic of France and Thomson company take part in creation of this helicopter.   21. I noticed that there wasn't any rearm/refuel buttons in the keycommand file released from the DCS site,does this mean we can't rearm /refuel inorder to continue long missions??:(and if we can what are they?:helpsmilie:
  22. Lynda.com 3dmax essentials by chad perkins(i think thats his last name?)has one of the best tutorials for beginners out there...you can essentially learn max to a functional state within a week,days even.Try it, I'm sure you'll be glad you did.:pilotfly:

Naw,..what I have is a combination of suncom split throttle and stick system,coupled with the logitech force feed back.The suncom is in strickly a keyboard emulation mode(no axis defined)so theoretically,I should have trim as I did in 102.I also find it strange that theres a "gap" in the key presses for thrust.First presses are small increments ,then it takes a jump at about 50% setting and then back to small increments at the final stage at about 80-90 to100%.Gonna experiment today by uninstalling and reinstallin and test keyboard only ...too see if it was an install error.Let ya'all know what happens.:horseback
  24. Well...tried it without profiler,set to slider and still a no go.All other buttons work accept the trim buttons:mad: they just won't take any input.Really strange thing is...I've always had trim...until 1.12a:confused:
