  1. Hey guys, I'm working on a mission where I have a group of AI Huey's taking off from an airbase, they then fly to a location and pick up some troops and then continue onwards to then drop them off at another LZ. The problem is that after landing on the final LZ, they won't take off again to come back to base. The waypoint sequence runs like this Ramp Take off > Turning Point > Land and then Take off > Turning Pont > Land and then Take off > Turning point > Land back at airfield. The Huey's will not take off after the second drop off point? Am I limited to just one land/take off sequence per route? I've tried all kinds of things like placing additional waypoints between the landing/take off points but they just won't budge. Any ideas? Thanks.
  2. Thanks but it turns out Razorback[NL] was correct - my missions all used 'Client' instead of 'Player'. I've re-tested my modified missions and the logbook is now updating. Lost about 30 hours of recorded flight time but no big deal. Cheers.
  3. Yeah. I've just tweaked it and set both boarded triggers to use a 500Kg cargo load but even that's still too heavy (they were originally 700kg & 800kg respectively). Perhaps tell the guys to dump all their gear at the summit or split it into 3 trips? :smilewink:
  4. Ah! That's it! All my training missions I've created have always used client because I also use them with my squad. Thanks a lot mate, will now correct them for when I'm playing SP. Cheers.
  5. Hey, anyone else seen this? Known issue? I've flown this module since it came out (about 4-5 hours per night). And yet, when I look at my logbook record it shows just 30min flight time. I'm not doing missions, I've just created a free flight MIZ to practice and yet it doesn't seem to be recording my flight time.
  6. Ah, had the same issue last night. Wondered why I couldn't move. Had a look in the ME at the mission and I saw something about setting the weight when you land on the summit (I assume this was the aircraft/fuel weight or something). Might be set too high? Looked in the ME manual and couldn't see anything about setting the weight though.
  7. As I said though, don't take my word for it. Last time a played with the export stuff was a fair few weeks ago so I could be mistaken.
  8. I might be wrong but I thought they'd move the export stuff to your user folder in a recent update. I'm not at my home machine to check but when I was writing an exporter myself I'm pretty sure I was editing a file in '{USER}\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts'. Can't remember the details so don't take my word for it.
  9. Don't have anything specific for your issue but the group I fly with (one is over in the US, the rest in the UK) recently adopted a policy of shutting down EVERYTHING that 'calls home' on a regular basis over the internet. We had some problems with stuttering and pauses etc.. So, before we start playing (whether BMS or DCS), we now all shutdown Skype, Google Drive, Skydrive, Steam - basically anything that is likely to hog our connections. I also make sure my tablet/phone isn't downloading or updating anything etc.. Since we've done this our ping times/connectivity has improved (although this could just be down to 1.2.4 fixes etc..)
  10. Thanks, just saw this so getting it now before the masses download (300mb on my machine so not too bad). Cheers.
  11. Cheers. Downloading and will keep it online for a while to help with the seeding.
  12. Ok, so I'll eat my own words. After some more practice I managed to pull off some kind of running landing... (too fast in and a bit wobbly but I get the job done). Now to get it smoother and under more control... :joystick: Really loving this sim guys! http://youtu.be/yqpa-XJvEQ4
  13. Ok, thanks for the confirmation. Will keep at it.
  14. Don't get me wrong, I really REALLY like this module and I have no regrets buying it. However, I'm convinced that the flight model we see on those training videos is vastly different from the one we have in our hands today. For me what we have at the moment in this beta just seems overly twitchy/sensitive. The FM we see on the videos seems a lot smoother and easier. I'm curious what other people think - is it purely down to 'skill' of those guys producing the video or has there been some significant tweaks to that model since those videos were cut. For example, if I set my collective/cyclic at virtually the same points that I see in those videos - I get nowhere near the effect that we see. It's not a moan - just an observation. Looking forward to many hours of flight with this!
  15. Thanks for this EB and thanks OP for asking the question, I now get it.
  16. Here we go... Updated website! Fingers on triggers guys! :)
  17. When I mentioned to a friend of mine about the Oculus rift (he hadn't heard about them) and the problem of being able to access the keyboard he just laughed. He said why don't they just do it the way the military use VR goggles? They just make them with a gap on the bottom edge near your nose to allow you to look down at keyboards/controls etc.. You lose a bit of on the lower part of your peripheral vision but he says it's not too bad. Just a thought.
  18. Interesting, the guy who wrote that, Ian P, also commented below his article in response to someone saying the page was outdated - "Talk to DCS. It’s their announcement, not ours!". Might mean ED had already put out the press release perhaps with the intention of releasing it today. Who knows.
  19. Mate, you've got to dig deep. Here's my guaranteed solution - Clean the house, wash the dishes, do the laundry, tidy up your $hit in the man cave, take the dog for a walk, wash her car, wash your car, clean the backyard... at the end of all that. Collapse on the sofa and say "Ok, jobs done. Now it's me time!"
  20. Indeed they have. I'm now hooked up with a small but dedicated group - we fly throughout the week and have been doing for a couple of months now! Cheers.
  21. Here are my comments that may or may not help - 1) There was an update to the training pack for v1.2.2. If you have the same version then try installing them as it might contain bug fixes/updates http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/250461/ 2) IIRC, the ramp start training didn't show the Master Caution light appearing when your engine spools up whilst you have your APU GEN on and your L/R gen's on. However, I believe this is perfectly normal and part of the standard startup. You can dismiss it safely and proceed with the ramp start. 3) IIRC, I think one version of the ramp start mission skipped the bit about turning your MFD's on (rotary switch on bottom left of each screen. Turn them to 'Day') 4) Classic problem with no communications Radios turned on? Radio set to correct freq's? Correctly set manual/preset mode? Selecting the correct radio when communicating!! You get the same menu options for each of the 3 radios (you'll see a title at the top of the radio menu that will say something like VHF, UHF etc..). This one had me stumped for a long time, it's subtle but will 100% guarantee no communication if you use the wrong radio! If you use the easy radio communications option to start with then that will take the workload off of you for the time being and it will auto-tune and select the correct radio for you. Keep going, you will definitely crack it and once you do it's a pretty good feeling. Cheers, and good luck!
  22. Yeah, it was here http://www.fsbreak.net/ However, IIRC I think he said it wouldn't be up immediately. Cheers.
  23. Whenever I have weird control behaviour on my X52 pro it's invariably because I've got my precision slide either at 0% or 100%. When it's in this position my profile starts sending out speedbrake up/down repeatedly. This causes issues with other command mappings. So, do you have any bands mapped in that control and if so is the slider in any of those active ranges when you try to click POV 2?
  24. Hey, When the JTAC sends the target assignment data message, I accept it and then hook the red triangle and then make it my SPI (I get the white wedding cake on top of it). However, does this point get stored anywhere else apart from the TAD? In other words, I can't seem to find this point in either the mission or mark lists? Am I supposed to mark (right TMS short) it myself if I want to store the location? If I inadvertently set the SPI to another point prior to engaging then the only way I can see of getting back to the JTAC target is to use the TAD an re-hook/SPI it? Cheers.
