That should be 1.2.11, sorry, heavy fingers. Well, I'm new to the game, so I'm trying to go through some of the basic training missions, which have worked up to now. However, when I try to start an SU-25T training mission, I am seeing the virtual throttle fluttering back and forth in my virtual cockpit; later, following along with the tutorial, I attempt to start the engines, as the training mission dictates, but I see nothing more than a brief flash of the green 'I'm getting ready to run' light, then nothing. Close canopy, drop flaps, and the whole mission freezes. Judging by the bulletin boards, maybe this update is problematic? Anyway, enjoying what little I've seen so far (not too much, actually) and hoping for the best.

This is sooo much more helpful than just crabbing at the people who, for whatever reason, have the gall, the temerity, to ask a question that one of the (unfortunately) many Forum Police feel is wrong to ask again. It's so much easier, and nicer, to be kind and helpful than caustic and dyspeptic. Thanks for this, and for the eerily-moving tribute to the MiG-21 that you recently created; I've never seen a DCS flick follow the mood of the music so well (with maybe one or two exceptions). I particularly like the music choices, btw...never heard them before, and following that trail (to the composer) led to many nice discoveries all on its own. Thanks for being a positive influence here.

I thought you were attempting to include a screenshot of the problem after the ":" in the first message. -

There are very few true simulators out there; it looks like your MiG-21 will join that rarefied atmosphere if you hold to your original vision. Personally, I'd rather see you pursue the BMS 4.32/A-10C standard, but that's just me. In either case, your Mig is heads-and-shoulders over the Captain Sims version, which was pretty heady stuff in its day... You can always dumb-down a true simulation to a survey or arcade mode; it's pretty hard to do the converse.

Thank you, but is there an easy option than all this button pushing nonsense thingy ? I don't have time to read the manual or anything just the key that says 'gear up'..seems straight forward to me. By all means let people have an option to press as many buttons as they like to raise a simulated rivet but I don't have time to press this and that before this and that happens. I just like to pretend and enjoy simulated flight...not too much to ask a casual flight sim player...or is it ? Mizzy troll alert

I do believe you are right; sometimes people just don't count their blessings. Like my grandma used to say, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. As for1st world? Maybe just the Hater world...

Look around, look above; this (originally in the MiG-21 forum) is exactly the right forum.

Some hangars violently vibrating cockpit (w/ Video)

When you place the MiG-21 in that hangar, it is much further back in the body of the structure than the SU-27, probably because the Sukhoi is a much larger aircraft. I noticed that the MiG-21 shaking stops (as seen in your film) just as it rolls to the forward part of the hangar, but not yet outside. Basically, it stops the shaking when it hits the same location that the SU-27 is originally parked in when you open the hangar doors on the Sue. The MiG does not have to be outside the hangar to stop shaking, just a bit forward from where the game plants it with the mission editor. -
agree wholeheartedly!

Corvus; Do you recall (or did you record) your frame rates during this? It looked pretty smooth and stutter-free... Nice job, though!

It's that mess of scotch tape holding that indecipherable handwritten note to the instrument panel that sucks all the light from the image.

With that kind of complete information, this is a very useful post...and a pretty nice PC.

It's true, and it reflects (no pun intended) a reality of the aerial environment, but there is some complaint made when the developers of the Team Fusion mod for IL2CoD added this very feature to their changes; someone thought it should be an optional feature, and that seems reasonable, if this is treated as a game, but maybe not so much if this is regarded as a simulation. see for the results. This particular video deliberately exaggerates the effect, I think, but it worth seeing, anyway.
