Thanks. I ordered the switches from china so be few weeks before I get everything. The only thing I don't is a box to make the control unit. I was thinking of gutting out a broken dvd player I have as it's a metal shell?

A Pair of Control Boxes
TonyStovepipe replied to Braeden108's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nice :D I'm making a small button box myself when all the parts arrive :) -
Thank you Hansolo :) I will read up them post and hope to get everything working when it all arrives. I will post pictures when I'm done but it will be a simple control box to help with the basic toggles and most used switches. Cheers.

Thanks Ward8124 I have used the board before to make a button box but was not sure if I could of save some spaces. But it looks like I will just buy another board when I need more switches :D Quick question, what sort of switch should I use for say the landing lights on the a10c that have 3 positions? Am I looking for on-on-on switch? I can't seem to find one lol. Thanks.

Thank you very much. I think will get another leobodnar board later when I add mroe switches as it seems less messing about lol. Thanks again.

Hello all. Looking for some advice about how switches work in dcs world a10c before I order some. I am buying this button board and I have used one before to make a button box http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=205 My question is when I wire up just the on switch to turn on the landing lights but not wire the off button yet. Would dcs know that the landing have been turn off with the on button not sending a signal and automatically go to the off position. Trying to see if I can save slots on the button board is all :) Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello. I just wanted to know if it's possible to use my laptop to display the a10c mfd over the network ? I read something about helios mite work but not sure how easy it would be to setup. Thanks for any advice you could give me :)

Hi. Me and my friend are looking to play on a server that open to new/returning players who don't know too much yet about many things lol. Been playing on and off over the years but never really tested online and would like to give a go. I did try jump on your server to have a quick look around but I could not take over a plane for some reason and I have the a10c and flaming cliffs modules? I probably did something wrong but I though I would ask :) Thanks.

Hello. Been away from the sim for a while and just getting back into it :) I just bought the TWCS throttle and Airrow joystick for cheapish setup. And using the slew on the a10c the slew will stop moving sometimes. If I am moving the slew in a complete circle it will pause when it's at a direction like north, east. Then it starts moving again when the slew axis is fully pointing east. I can go north, east but only if I let the slew stick back to centre then repoint it in that direction. Using the keyboard I can slew in any direction without the slew stopping. Also testing the slew with my joystick if I do complete circles but only using half of the stick axis it will work fine. Doing circles using the full joystick axis it will pause at direction change like the TM throttle. I apologize for my typing and spelling but any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Sorry mods I posted in the wrong section.

Defender Cobra M5 any good ?
TonyStovepipe replied to TonyStovepipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just an update what I got in the end. The speedlink airrow and TM throttle. So far I really like it for a cheao hoats that cost me £110. The only problem I've had is with the TM throttle slew controls. IF I slew diagonal the slew will stop on the a10c and I don't know if that's just my one or its just how it is? Thanks for help :) -

I was about to order then I seen this one https://www.overclockers.co.uk/speedlink-airrow-flightstick-black-gc-008-sl.html Only £10 more as I get free delivery being a forum member :) I don't know much about it but it can't no worse then the cobra? I know it got one lass hat then the cobra and I had a t16000 on its own before and had no problem using the A10. Now I will have the TM throttle as well to help with the hats. Thank you. -

I think I will give it a try. If it's faulty I will return it and get another t16000. -
Defender Cobra M5 any good ?
TonyStovepipe replied to TonyStovepipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you very much. I can get one for like £50 shipped so I think that's a fair price to pay. I Know it's the cheaper version but if it's still good then I would have it over the t16000. -
Hi all. Getting back into playing the A10c and after a hotas setup. I was going to the FCS Hotas setup https://www.amazon.co.uk/ThrustMaster-3935075-Thrustmaster-T16000M-Hotas/dp/B01H6KXGDY But I had have the t16000 before and it was ok, but I don't really want that stick again. So I was thinking about the defender cobra and the TWCS throttle? But not sure how good the cobra is? Thanks for any advice :)

Nice setup I bet the touchscreen makes things a lot better. The view on the 3 main monitors looks a bit off to me but hard to tell from pictures how good it could be :)

[RESOLVED]Beta and installing modules problem.
TonyStovepipe replied to TonyStovepipe's topic in General Bugs
It's working now for some reason lol. Thank you. -
Hi all. Had a break from the game for a while and wanted to try the beta out but when I try install modules I get this error. Do I still need to install the normal version as well or am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

CA in current state, is it any good for SP?
TonyStovepipe replied to a1adin's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
I think it's nice for a change of pace/gameplay even if you are just messing about. It's fun just to shoot aircraft out the sky with AA or attack the enemy base in a tank. And if it's ever updated then it's extra bonus :D -
Used old power supply unit case and old joystick. Just need to solder the buttons and do some clean up also spray paint it later. I only have the t1600m joystick so it helps having an axis just for the TGP and extra buttons for zoom/laser controls. It will be sort an addon for my other diy panel. Thanks.

TM t 16000m and what throttle combo?
TonyStovepipe replied to TonyStovepipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you both :D @txmtb I will give that a test laster and it should make everything 100 times better for me :) @remon thanks for that I think that is my best option for a semi good hotas that don't cost to much. Cheers.
