  1. UPDATE 06/07/2015: CDU Confirmed as working thanks to MightySeaKing. CDUII working. Others are a work in progress. G'day, Thanks to the brilliant software DCS-BIOS by JBoecker ([FSF]Ian), and a bit of interface programming with the very helpful VRinsight SerialFP2_UIM Software (Many thanks yet again to Kook and the VRinsight team!), it is possible at long last to get VRinsight Devices working with DCS World. In this particular instance... The CDUII, with my app VRi2DCSBIOS.exe (Version 1.0.0) This software is a go-between software interface run in a Command Prompt DOS window. And functions as; DCS World <--> DCS-BIOS <--> VRi2DCSBIOS <--> VRinsight Device (CDUII in this case). The key assignments for the CDU are translated in the Key.ini lookup file, and can be anything you want as long as it follows the DCS-BIOS Key Text format. In this instance I have preset most of the working CDU keys, and the important switches from the AAP, all on the CDU to get the full function of the Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) Navigation System. See "VRi2DCSBIOSdefaultkeyslayout.pdf" from the install files for the basic Key assignments. (Or here VRi2DCSBIOSdefaultkeyslayout.pdf). If you have setup your DCS World multi-monitor for the VRinsight CDUII screen and have DCS-BIOS installed. This VRi2DCSBIOS program will complete the link and get your CDUII in game. When installed and started, press a few keys and you will see VRinsight device input, DCSBIOS output, and the corresponding change in game as per the output; (Note; If you get the MSVCR120.dll missing error you will need to install the latest Visual 2013 C++ Redistribution package vcredist_86.exe from microsoft to get the run time libraries for your operating system. Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013) The program can be run at anytime to test its reading of VRinsight devices. The keys.ini file can be modified and saved while in game for on the fly testing. The file keys_-_CDU2_MCP2B.ini here enables the VRinsight Mode Control Panel 2 Boeing version with the rotary encoder examples for Baro, HSI HDG, and HSI CRS (V/S rotary). It must be renamed to keys.ini of course to work. Download and unzip the installer application. (The readme is VRi2DCSBIOS_ReadMe.txt) VRi2DCSBIOSinstaller100.zip Run the Setup.exe as Adminstrator to install. Follow the prompts from the installation software. The default install directory is C:\VRi2DCSBIOS\ This is a work in progress. The CDUII works great. And so to the CDU thanks to MightySeaKing. Still getting the correct assignment on the MCP for UHF, VHF radios etc, as well as the MCP display linked is a WIP. I am sure it will work with other VRinsight devices but I will need feedback from users who have those. Devices Tested; -------------------- MCP [FMER] Buttons, Switches OK. Encoders WIP (Clearing cached rotation). Displays WIP. MCP2B [MCP2B] Buttons, Swithces, Encoders WIP (Clearing cached rotation), Displays OK - WIP. CDU [CDU] Buttons OK. RADIO mode to be investigated. (Many thanks to mightyseaking for his efforts. See message #17). CDU2 [CDU2] Buttons OK. M PANEL [MPANL] WIP. (Many thanks to mightyseaking for his assistance with this unit). MSPANEL - NOT FOUND. Treated as USB Joystick only. Not seen by SerialFP2_UIM. (Thanks to tagge for his efforts in testing this unit). Cheers,
  2. [FIXED] Remote Access firewall rules shutting down UDP, not TCP? The connect-serial-port.cmd multicast UDP is now working as it should. Only by enabling some Remote Access Rules did the firewall allow UDP multicast. Funny thing is that disabling the firewall full stop, did not work. Only by changing the rules did it work. Many thanks for your guidance.
  3. The good news is that the interactive control reference and the TCP connect-serial-port script works well. The Arduino worked as intended. Windows firewall allows socat.exe open TCP/UDP all ports Still a problem with getting the UDP 239.255.50.10:5010 to work. Is that fixed or can I change that IP to my local network IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5010 ? I will program up a UDP server with that IP and see how that behaves. The UDP problem is reflected in the dcs.log file because its not happening. 00149.037 ERROR Lua::Config: Call error LuaExportAfterNextFrame:<LUA_TTABLE> stack traceback: [C]: ? 4. G'day [FSF]Ian, I have double checked the install process many times. Following the guide "out of the box" I can send keyswitch commands to DCSW no problems with using the example with an UNO R3. I do not receive any data from DCSW. The connect-serial-port.cmd displays the UDP sendto but there is no receive display as per your you-tube examples. It also hangs DCSW on exit. This is following "out of the box" instructions for the arduino. My UDPClient software works okay with multicast-console.cmd, and DCSW exits okay. But again there is no UDP recfrom traffic. Being multicast UDP I would think that HELIOS and TacView should not be a problem? Netstat; On DCSW startup there is 0.0.0.0:7778 TCP/UDP On connect-serial-port.cmd there is 0.0.0.0:5010 *:* I have slowed the serial from 500000 to 100000 for no effect. Would you please confirm the correct address ports to open. Thanks, BrassEm. P.S. OS is Win7 64.
  5. [FSF]Ian THANK YOU. After many years of unsuccessful attempts... within a couple of hours of running with this program testing with the arduino, my very first initial test with this program and some of my software, I was able to get my VRinsight CDU working IN GAME for the very first time! THANK YOU. There really needs to be a forum section for discussion of DCSBIOS. Once the CDU is finalised, then the VRinsight Mode Control Panel II Boeing is on the agenda. Great days ahead! Did I say THANK YOU?
  6. Too bad the X-55 mouse "joystick" is very sub-par! I've had TWO throttles now with crappy mouse "control". Time to get to the bottom of this. Disassemble... Carbon membrane switches. FFS! Replaced with 5 way Tactile switch and some resistors. SOLID AS A ROCK. It is NOT a software driver problem if you do manage to get some mouse movement with this throttle. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. YOU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
  7. ▲ THIS Thanks for the Heads Up vicx. Was just scanning the forums now to see if it was possible. You saved me some time. ED, Please add kneeboard support to vehicles. It would be a great help just as it is for the aircraft.
  8. Thanks Dachs, Details in your first post got my KneeBoard location problem sorted. (Bottom right moved to top left across two monitors.)
  9. So looking forward to it. (Hopefully I will have all my hardware issues sorted by then. :( )
  10. During mission debriefing, it was noted that Comrade Crowbar followed up Sabre in the final push, and diverted some attention from Sabre. Grey was critcally damaged but provided overwatch on the attack. All round strikes were just behind Sabre, but Crowbar is to push through that. (you can see him in the smoke gap bottom right.)
  11. VFA-113 STINGERS - "ZARDOZ DARK THIRTY" - AAR - 27th JUNE 2014 PDT Mission creator: JAR Brief: 6.15pm Launch: 6.30pm TOT: 6.45 - 7.00pm Recover: 8.00pm MISSION BRIEF: After the incredible events in Batumi, General Zardoz has fled to a palace north of Gudauta. US Navy SEALs have launched an overnight raid and have captured General Zardoz. It is now daylight and the SEALs are returning to their FOB at Gudauta aboard a CH-47, however reports are coming in of a large armoured force approaching from the north. This is the last stand. VFA-113 are to launch from Gudauta and use whatever means necessary to prevent Zardoz Aggressor Battalion forces from reaching Gudauta and taking their General back... MISSION INTEL: WESTERN FORCES: US Navy SEALs are airlifted as escort for General Zardoz to a temporary holding point, South at Gudauta airbase, ready for extraction to a more secure location. A detachment of two platoons of M1 ABRAMS tanks stand too in the town of Ahalsopeli, just North of the Airbase, to repel any ground based rescue attempt for the General. VFA-113 STINGERS have moved to Gudauta airbase as a forward base of operations should any rescue of General Zardoz be attempted. USS Intrepid is stationed off the coast for aircraft recovery if needed. ZARDOZ FORCES: No Air Forces are active at this time so any air contact should be considered hostile. A ZAB Battlegroup of three platoons has been quickly formed to attempt the rescue of the general. They will consist of SA-15 Tors, Shilka SPAAA, and the formidable T-90 main battle tank. They will attempt to move South East along highway E97 at full speed, and rescue General Zardoz at the airbase before he can be moved further out of reach. MISSION REPORT: ZAB force comrades Yakbeard, Sabre-TLA, TurboRUSH, Grey, Crowbar, and BrassEm begin commanding the platoon SAM's as the Company begins moving out to rescue General Zardoz. The VFA-113 STINGER Squadron Pilots; Skelator, Prowler, Hollywood, Prowler, Jar, 16th Mojeaux, begin rolling on the tarmac for take-off. Laser and Blackcat will join later. The residents of Algyl see a red Russian helicopter fly overhead going south towards Gudauta Airbase, with a western Chinook and an Apache attack helicopter in escort. SEAL COMMANDER: "Break! Break! Everyone on this frequency, this is Commander Matt Wagner of the United States Navy. We have captured General Zardoz, he has agreed to order a full surrender of his forces. All Zardoz and Allied forces are to cease hostilities immediately. Please standby for General Zardoz." GENERAL VLADMIRE ZARDOZ: "Brave comrades of the Zardoz Aggressor Battalion. I have been captured by Navy SEALs and am currently aboard an American Hellicopter. They have allowed me to speak to my loyal forces for the purposes of telling you all that we have failed. We failed to capture the nuclear weapons at Novorossiysk, and we have failed to prevent the C-130's delivering humanitrian aid. When we captured one of their pilots they relentlessly bombed us to get him back. They discovered and bombed our secret base in the mountains, and destroyed our TU-95s when we loaded them with chemical weapons. And now, our only remaining forces are grouped in Ipnari and your General is an American prisoner. Now, my comrades, because of this I say to you..." GENERAL VLADMIRE ZARDOZ: "RISE UP COMRADES!!! Comrades of the Zardoz Agressor Battlion, they are taking me to Gudauta! Come rescue your General! Come save ZARDOZ!!!" Hearing the plea of their Great General Zardoz, ZAB forces move into action for his rescue. The STINGERS take off and push up through the valley for a continuous armed run. Their munitions delivered at low level take their toll, but not without cost. Pic01: General Zardoz lands at Gudauta. Pic02: Stingers prepare to launch after General Zardoz's arrival. Pic03: Stingers roll out. Pic04: Stingers are away. Pic05: Stingers get the jump on ZAB SAM's. Pic06: The attack is ruthless. Pic07: Mk82's strike hard. Pic08: The TOR SA-15 SAM 9A331 missile launches on lock. The booster stage is jettisoned as the primary seeker begins tracking after 2,000m from launch. Look for the two stage rocket burn smoke. This missile will home for the kill on this unfortunate Stinger. Pic09: Repeated low level attacks from the Stingers wear the ZAB forces down. Pic10: SPAAA Shilka's get some close shots in on some fast movers. With no time for computed lock and lead, only repeated training will guide the gun crew to put rounds on the low flying jet. Pic11: This Stinger is doomed. AAA in close and SAM's to make sure he never egresses. Pic12: The AAA turret swings violently to the left to shoot these low flying intruders. FLASH TRAFFIC: Zardoz forces have reached the perimiter of Gudauta. THE TANK BATTLE BEGINS! ZAB ground forces continue their push down highway E97. Heavy losses are reported from both sides. All SAM's are now out of ammo and attempting reloading. Pic13: T-90's of the ZAB forces move forward to engage. Tank forces head for the forest to their left for a flanking attack. They work their way through heavy resistance from air and ground tank attacks. Despite being one of the few ZAB units surviving, Comrade Sabre with a T-90, makes a heroic effort to push out into the open for the rescue of General Zardoz in the airbase. Suffering repeated attacks he manages to make it through to the General... Pic14: Sabre to the rescue. GENERAL VLADMIRE ZARDOZ: "Comrades of the ZAB, it is fantastic to see you. Know this VFA-113, YOU have failed this time. but you fought bravely. It is time for you to retreat to America and allow me to concentrate on fixing Crimea. I have decided to run for President of Russia. And thanks to your pitiful efforts, my approval rating is quite high. DasveedAnja STINGERS!" MISSION DEBRIEF: General Zardoz has made good his escape, thanks to his dedicated ZAB forces in securing his rescue. The Stingers left many airframes burnt out in the local hillsides. Along with the hulks of blackened ZAB tanks. Western Forces will not be happy with this outcome. Salute to the Great General Zardoz! [A huge salute to VFA-113 Stingers for sharing these missions on their cruise. It showcases what great missions are possible with combined arms, and that nothing is "more human than human". There is no challenge with the all seeing, laser, X-Ray accurate AI.]
  12. Double post, don't know how that happened. Please delete second post. Sry.
  13. VFA-113 STINGERS - "OPERATION HOPE" - AAR - 20th JUNE 2014 PDT Mission creator: JAR Brief: 6.15pm Launch: 6.30pm TOT: 6.45 - 7.00pm Recover: 8.00pm MISSION BRIEF: President Obama has contacted General Zardoz requesting a meeting to discuss a cease-fire and roadmap to peace named “Operation Hope”. General Zardoz has reluctantly agreed to meet President Obama in Batumi, Georgia. All available forces loyal to General Zardoz are moving up to support the great General in his talks with this Western Leader. MISSION INTEL: WESTERN FORCES: President Osama has a heavy Secret Service contingent on station. As well as regular security forces supported with HumVees. The USS Antietam is berthed at the Palace meeting place. She will be providing ASW, SAM, and JTAC support. M1 tanks have been reported moving around to the north of the city and a fix has not been established yet. ZAB North Forces are advised to proceed with caution. USS Intrepid is stationed off the coast with the venerable VFA-113 on stand by. No overhead air patrol is present due to the sensitivity of the meeting. ZARDOZ FORCES: No Air Forces are active at this time so any air contact should be considered hostile. The General Zardoz helicopter will be explicitly tracked and out of area should hostilites begin. An SA-11 SAM site is established North West of Kobuleti Air Base to provide long range air supression should western air forces decide they want to look further Northwards. ZAB North forces consist of a heavy company of ZAB SA-8 OSA SAM vehicles that will provide medium range air suppression over the city of Batumi. A company of BMP's will move forward first to clear the area of enemy opposition. ZAB West forces have infiltrated the city and are waiting to pounce. 23mm AAA have been set up on top of buildings for better firing arcs. Infantry have RPG's at the ready, and are ready to capture President Osama. MISSION REPORT: ZAB force comrades Yakbeard, Sabre-TLA, TurboRUSH, Prowler, and Brass from ZAB group North, start manning the SA-8 OSA SAM vehicles and begin moving them South into position to cover the upcoming meeting. Comrade Jim will join the fight later. The President, General Zardoz, and dignitaries are seated and waiting. Security forces are on high alert. The meeting begins when the President takes the podium; PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: "Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. General Zardoz, welcome and thank you for coming to Batumi to participate in Operation Hope. Last Week, US Navy warplanes attacked the TU-95 bomber fleet at Krasnodar, narrowly preventing the use of chemical weapons in this conflict. General Zardoz assures me that he had no knowledge of the events at Karsnodar Air Base. I believe him, and I also believe that with his cooperation, we can bring an end to this violent conflict. Today US Navy warplanes patrol the skies over the Black Sea, we have delivered 20 new buses to transport General Zardoz loyalists out of the Crimea, and we are prepared to do more. The relocation of citizens loyal to General Zardoz will make a critical differnce in whether or not the international order continues to move forward. And that's the question we all must answere: What kind of Europe, What kind of America, what kind of world will we leave behind? General Zardoz, I believe that if we hold firm to our principles and are willing to back our beliefs with courage and resolve, then hope will ultimately overcome fear, and freedom will continue to triumph over tyranny, because that is what forever stirs in the human heart. Thank you very much. (Applause.) And now, with hope a peaceful resolution to this conflict, please welcome to the podium, General Vladmir Zardoz of the ZAB." (Applause.) The personal helicopter of General Zardoz touches down at the meeting in front of the Palace. The speeches continue. GENERAL VLADMIRE ZARDOZ: "That is truly hopeful speech President Osama, unfortunately I do not care for your words. This is, in fact, the worst peace conference I have ever attended, and I fought against the Mujahideen... Comrade Brassem Zagaria has just landed my helicopter outside and now I will be leaving. Ha ha! Look Comrade Brassem, the American buses. Painted yellow like the spine of their President." During the confusion the security forces do not notice a truck rolling up the road towards the Palace. GENERAL VLADMIRE ZARDOZ:\ "President Osama, you will be joining me shortly. This city has been infiltrated by my finest troops, they have orders to capture you. Quickly Comrade Brassem, take-off! That truck approaching is full of explosives!" Just as the helicopter takes off, the truck drives up to the yellow buses and explodes. Very heavy fire starts coming in on the security forces guarding the Palace and the press gallery. USA SECRET SERVICE TRANSMISSION; FLASH: Operation Hope has come under terrorist attack! A truck bomb has exploded outside the Palace. Hostile forces are now being observed moving throughtout the city. Secrutiy Forces will attempt to move POTUS South to Batumi Airport for egress by Air Force One as soon as the route is established. Condition RED and Weapons Free. Repeat; Condition RED and Weapons Free. General Zardoz has escaped North and is no priority at this time. The Great General Zardoz has not sold us out! As ZAB North move down the road, BMP commander Lt Orlov shouts out an enemy contact ahead. Comrade TurboRUSH manning one of the lead BMP's stikes forward to engage and gets off the first rounds on target at the Western ground forces, and quickly eliminates the threat. Shortly after Sabre_TLA gets the first 9M33 SAM shot off at a STINGER for a hit. Two more SAM are on their way to target shortly after that. M1 tanks will unfortunately halt his advance. The SA-11 SAM site launches a full bracket of SAM's to take out the invading intruder. The 6 SAM's miss as the intruder pushes out of range this time, but they will take their toll. ZAB radar screens go quiet as single strike package runs are called in by the western FAC. ZAB West AAA are manned and get Targets flying in on their strike. Yakbeard engages with the OSA from distance. KIRKA falls to ZAB guns. ZAB West is now almost manned. OSA's on ZAB North get another Kill on the SEAD attacker. The SA-11 to the North expends all their ordinance. After many runs, the STINGERS succeed in making a pathway for the HumVee motorcade to get the President to Air Force One. FLASH: Great work VFA-113. Super Six One reports all ZAB ambush forces have been eliminated. POTUS is on the move. ETA 5 mikes. With the POTUS motorcade almost there, Mojeaux outruns several 9M33's FLASH: President Obama has safetly arrived at Batumi Airport to board Air Force One. Mission Success! All units are ordered to RTB. MISSION DEBRIEF: With only 4 STINGERS on active duty these STINGERS had their work cut out for them to protect the President. For the first time ZAB outnumbered STINGERS. Will these westerners hold the line? General Zardoz has made good his escape. Salute to General Zardoz!
  14. I am always learning surface to air from; http://www.ausairpower.net/
  15. And you should be very afraid. Don't use ECM, flare, chaff, terrain mask, jink, extend, pray to god, properly... and you WILL be another earned kill marker on the side of a ZARDOZ Aggressor Battalion SAM site. We are not talking AI. (I wonder how many would put their flying ground attack skills to the test against a human controlled SAM Battalion? How do you train for that?)
  16. VFA-113 STINGERS - "OPERATION SLEEPY TIME" - AAR - 13th JUNE 2014 PDT Mission creator: HOLLYWOOD Brief: 6.15pm Launch: 6.30pm TOT: 6.45 - 7.00pm Recover: 8.00pm MISSION BRIEF: After great losses incurred during last weeks mission, INTEL reports that a furious General Zardoz has decided to load his TU-95 Bear bomber fleet with chemical weapons. To prevent him launching an attack against USMC forces at Gadauta, VFA-113 Stingers are planning a pre-dawn strike to destroy the chemical weapons storage tanks and the bomber fleet at Krasnodar Air Base. This airbase is heavily defended. An E/A-18G Growler will be on target at precisely 1830 hrs and will begin jamming nearby SA-11 radars as well as dropping illumination flares over the target. VFA-113 time-on-target window will be strictly 1845-1900hrs PDT. MISSION INTEL: General Zardoz has ordered a concentration of chemical assets for an air strike against the interfering forces to halt their progress. A small group of medium range mobile OSA SAM's from ZAB Air Defence has been assigned to protect the airfield during this operation. Standard 23mm AAA air field defense units are at full alert. The "USS Intrepid" has been spotted just off the coast just beyond shore battery range. Air strikes are expected to disrupt our operation. MISSION REPORT: 4:07am The hornet nest stirs. It will be dark for most of this mission. The low haze will make targeting a bit more difficult for both attacker and defender. 4:19am Reports from fishing boats come in that air units are launching from the "Carl Vinson" 4:22am There is an explosion in the coastal town where ZAB AAA are active. It is not known what caused it. No casualties have been reported. Mobile phones go bazerk as reports of loud jets are zooming very low through the local towns there. 4:23am ZAB AAA on the coast hear the jets roar over, with no clear vision due to bad deployment and vision obscured, they fire in anger. 4:25am STINGER 310 takes some hits from AAA but flys on by. Another unexplained explosion is observed to the east. No casualties reported. 4:31am The people of Vasil'evskiy and Kosovichi phone in complaining about many loud low flying jets to their North, heading East. 4:32am Flying in low the STINGERS attack our airfield. They hit hard and destroy our strike force. But they fail to understand the effects of their weapons by attacking too low and take themselves out. Our expert SAM operator, comrade Yakbeard, takes out a STINGER right over our airfield! 4:34am The Growler overwatch starts lighting up the AO, making night to day. PROWLER manages to outrun an 9M33 launch just in time. 4:35am A STINGER takes a hit from a 9M33 on the egress. Still with ordinance to deploy. 4:38am Consistant attack runs destroy our airbase at Krasnodar. ZAB SA-8's do take down some of these intruders, but not all. The STINGERS egress south east away from our guns and land with no further resistance. 5:10am No further air contacts reported. ZAB Air defences are ordered to make ready. OPERATION "SLEEPY TIME" DEBRIEF: An excellent mission created. Time of attack as required and expected. (Time of day light not good for AAR screenshots though. Some pictures needed light without destroying the quality.) Balance of forces was very good for the mission. This was a long range attack for the STINGERS, flying over hostile territory. ZAB did manage to take some attackers down, over target. Some flyers were taken out by their own ordinance. The STINGER mission was completed as intended, but it was no "milk run". ZAB forces are inspecting the remains of 7 crashed airframes to gather further intelligence. There were no reports of ejecting pilots, but land forces will be patroling the areas extensively anyway. General Zardoz would like to have another welcome "guest" to add to the bargaining table. However he is very angered, but yet again, by the losses to his forces from these intruding STINGERS. The loss of his much favoured TU-95's has hit a raw nerve. Tacview did not capture this action for some reason... Investigating this.
  17. Vehicle textures reside in the Y?_FInal_texture.zip's. The Bazar/texture files only reference the files in the _FInal_.zips. Extract the file you want, modify it, and place it in bazar/temptexture directory. As the temptexture directory implies, remove the texture and it reverts back to the default. .dds files are lossy but good for general camo. If you want high detail unit markings then save as .bmp's
  18. I've only just noticed it. But the wheels of the F/A18 do not retract correctly, they stick out like 50%. What would be a cracker screencap desktop image is spoiled by fat wheels protruding from the fuselage sides. Just a tweak to shorten the retract animation arc. Cheers, BrassEm.
  19. Please post more details.
  20. OUCH!, went back to the SA-13 training exercises and bam! How primative were they.
  21. Yes, it takes some skill in leading to target on a fast mover, mud mover is easy with TOW, but learning with practice. At what range did you find it bleed off with the AFM?
  22. Interesting. I've observed that it gets out to 3000m then strays off even under optical targeting. Keeping the RADAR off has got to be an advantage so the fast movers don't get a RWR. Or worse yet, a HARM lock.
  23. There is also the function to range the RADAR display. In pic1. The range indicator is 20km. Using the [Right Alt] + [-] keys and [Right Alt] + [=] keys, you can zoom the RADAR display in or out in steps of 20km, 10km and 5km. (Depending on weapons system of course. Tunga in this case. Pics to follow.) Pic 1. RADAR for Tunga at 20km Pic 2. RADAR for Tunga at 10km Pic 3. RADAR for Tunga at 5km
  24. Nice work! Never got to the Iglas tonight. Thanks for clearing up what the dot indicator does. (Acted like blocked line of sight for me.) Found you still have to lock to aquire. Especially for the tunga 9M, For best results go to zoom and track it in to target in the lock box if you can. (As per the real SOP's) You guys beat me to the punch with another excellent presentation, but here is what I've found so far for those who want to see another angle on radar screen layout. Pic1. Locked target with radar on (30mm) Pic2. Radar off (30mm) Pic3. Radar on with target locked and aquiring fire solution . Pic4. Radar on and tracking and locked. It just keeps getting better and better!
  25. The tunguska is a good combination anti-air, you just have to be prudent with the cannon as you can run out pretty quick and reload time is horrendous. The 9M311 is okay but it depends on target aspect. The Tor has the reach and a satisfying launch animation. The radar appears in the top left hand corner on screen. Use default key "I" to toggle the radar on and off. When ON (shown by the yellow arrow to the bottom left of the radar screen), the air targets show up as always on green pips if pinged, plus there is a radar screen sweep. Very enjoyable to use. (Been practicing on some F-18C' in mission editor.)
