  1. Hey. 1:I just received the Oculus Rift S. I have 40 fps and things are basically running smooth. However, when looking at the wingtips (or anything else that relates to any background staying static), I get a "fast moving pencil" effect, meaning: Holding a pencil in front of you, and loosly wiggle it back and forth in front of your eyes make it look like its made of soft rubber. Anyone else having the same experience?
  2. Just to see if I understood this: You start the same mission file everytime? It will not create a new mission file based on the progress? And to start up the default mission all I have to do is revert the script values to default?
  3. Hello Surrexen. I am not familiar with "de-sanitization". Can you give a short explanation in the content description what this means, and how to do it?
  4. I'm kind of dissapointed. The Actuator sound got to be one of the coolest soundeffects in the aviation world. But I learned something today, so thank you for that! :)
  5. I hereby request the nozzle actuator sound(!) - which may also be taken into consideration regarding other aircraft in DCS with this sound effect. Can be heard when the jets are landing and taking off (please also not the loud reverb...very nice! :) )

  7. Excellent. Thanks for the replies everybody. I was able to fire radarmissiles at the seatargets, however they did not track, so I don't know what the issue here is.
  8. Very good. Thanks for taking it into consideration. :) "Annoying" when I've spent an hour or so taking out several SAM sites, and then I have to go AFK...starting over again. (not a problem related to your mission - offcourse.)
  9. Surrexen; Would it at all be possible to make a "saved game" file at the end of a mission? I'm spending a lot of time taking out SAMs at the start of the mission, and not really being able to participate in for instance CAS missions because the regular SEAD spawn aircraft take to long to take out the SAMsites, so I have to help out every time. A "saved game" file would really help with being able to use different assets available. :) Again, I really love your work! Two excellent missions
  10. Since the last (maybe even the previous before that) update to DCS, the radar locks on ground targets, specifically Ships. They show up on the radar with altitude 0-zero, and I can launch radar missiles on the target. The missiles do not track towards the target....

  12. I like the sounds. They are a nice addition to the immersion. I would prefer them to be more varied, but they are still nice. The "magnum" sounds however seems a bit "silly". Maybe not intentional, but the music in the background sort of ruins the sound effect (music from the Magnum series maybe? :) )
  13. Excellent. Looking forward to the results! Regarding the Anti-ship flights, it's an irregular thing, so cannot say which sector it works and which they don't. My guess is it's a problem with the formation flying script for DCS where number 2 stops mid air to stay in place, and starts shifting weirdly, and ends up in the mountainside somewhere. (I hope I'm not the only one having this strange UFO behaviour...) Maybe a solution would be to increase the holding pattern altitude around Kasab?

  15. Hey Surrexen. I really enjoy your mission. It seems to be neverending, varied, dynamic and unpredictable. (Small discretion: I've just completed a novel about flying the A10 in the first Gulf war. They explain situations and conditions, for instance multiple missions in one patrol, aerial refueling to extend the patrol time when weapons are still on board, and so on. I have not yet been able to find a mission file to replicate all of these factors, other than yours. It feels realistic and challenging! Perfect fun to fly!) When spawning anti-ship aircraft, they keep crashing in the mountains around Kasab if I don't send them towards the target right away. I believe this is an issue "easy" to work around, possibly by sending them right away, I don't know. Also, Is there a way to activate the carrier group air-defence? I have been attacked after landing on the carrier, and they circle around the ship until I've been taken out. This is not a big issue, and not a gamebreaker at all! But maybe a CAP out of the carrier group would be cool, just tasked with protecting the CG should there be any incoming threats, and the player is flying some other tasking or vulnereable when inbound to the carrier?

  17. Thanks for your quick reply. Regarding the CAP aircraft, I am referring to the player spawned CAP planes. What you are describing is what I experience: The issue with this behaviour presents itself especially in the easternmost target area. The approach to this location is basically the same for both friendly and enemy aircraft, mainly from the west, northwest/north, meaning I've seen both sides basically "following" eachother in to the target area before engaging. Say theres' already a couple of A10s engaging targets, and I've sent in two CAPs for protection but they are further behind, they will not engage enemy threats, even though they are able to, and "should" do so to protect the A10s. The result is that the A10s will get shot down before the CAP engages the enemy considering they are not inside the target area, and has not gone active. Basically; Is there a way to make the CAP go active earlier, especially in the more isolated parts of the Gulf? Great tip on the Havadarya/Bandar Abbas area. A "Skip mission" function would be useful also if theres been a repeat of the same mission after several restarts. Thanks again for a great mission!
  18. Hey Surrexen. I am really enjoying your mission. I love the dynamics of it, and the variety of mission types. Good job! I was wondering; I find it very difficult to succeed with a mission in SP, depending on the target area, the amount of AA/enemy aircraft, and the way friendly aircraft behave. -I've noticed that the spawned CAP are rather passive. I'm struggling to get support from them, atleast outside of a mission target area. They seem to not be "online" until reaching the target area. This is also a "problem" if the mission is a success and a new one is spawned. It takes a long time until new CAP is ready, and they refuse to engage enemy aircraft on their way home. -I'm experiencing som difficulty in regards to the effectiveness of the SEAD aircraft. In some heavier defended areas (Quesm island and Havardaya), it's very difficult to penetrate and complete the mission. -Would it be possible to select primary missions, deselecting the automatically spawned one if the target area is too challenging for singleplayers? -Would it be possible to spawn more units of the desired spawnable friendlies, depending on the current mission difficulty? (Say 4 SEAD, instead of 2 in AA intense area, 4 CAP instead of 2 where there is a lot of enemy aircraft present, and so on) -Would it also be possible to "kill" spawned friendly units, making them available for new missions? Again. I'm enjoying your mission very much. It's a great addition to the simulator. Keep up the good work!
  19. I'm having problems with the editor window which extends outside of the computer screen. When there is a long list of units after choosing task, the list extends far below the edge of the lower side of the screen, meaning I can not choose units below the TITLE "SEAD", and therefore also not press the "commit" button. Any way to stretch the edges making it fit to the screen? Same issue as "sledge1stgw" above

  24. The sidewinder seeker is locked to the cross in the upper part of the HUD. I cannot "uncage" it so that it seeks in a 8-figure. What is the key-binding for uncaging this? It happened after fiddling around with the PAL/VSL-Hi/-LO settings
  25. I uploaded a videorecording of the issue with the IRMAV: All the time the mav is uncaged, I am depressing the TDC button and trying to slew the targetindicator. Nothing is happening. It also shows in the middle of the video the flickering IR image. The brightest color is sometimes stuck even though the target indicator is above or below the horizon. Also, this seems to be an "unstable" bug. When trying the RED flag Pilot rescue CAS mission (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303298/), the mavericks doesn't work. However, playing the instant mission using the IRMAVs theres is no problem at all... EDIT: I see that I have not selected the IRMAV as SPI (?), and that is the reason for not being able to slew the TI. The video is therefore a bad example of this problem. However, I have yet to establish the problem concerning not being able to select the F version after using the E version, and vice versa.
