need track replay Desync between the pilot and cpg
NightstalkerNOR replied to [RH]Mostafa's topic in Bugs and Problems
Me and my friend had the exact same issue as described two posts above. The TADS would show something entirely different in my screen than his. It was not frozen, but was moving in relation the aircrafts movement. He was slewing as CPG but the TADS Cross in the PHS was looking at me. -
Hello. I just got back into the hornet and have encountered a real challenge when in BVR engagements. A head on, no threat scenario is all and well, but I am struggling to perform BVR tactics like cranking when being engaged by a serious threat without loosing my contacts when maneuvering. I figured out there is a spotlight function which follows the TDC, but it seems rather unintuitive to have to first select the target, and then activate the spotlight function as well as adjusting elevation if the target starts to maneuver as well. So, how do you most effectively work the radar in BVR, in both RWS and TWS modes? Thanks for any inputs!

I am correcting myself. I just did some testing again in Chile/Argentina as well as in the Falklands. After a while, 15 or so minutes, the FPS plummets to the unplayable, especially in any critical phase of the flight, ie. landings and nap of the earth flying. It only happens after passing below 900 feet AGL. It kicks in most frequently around 850 ft. AGL. No matter what terrain type, elevation or vegetation. 850 ft. AGL consequently = massive FPS loss. Staying above 850 ft. AGL is smooth flight I tried to adjust terrain textures settings to low. No effect.

I am going back on what I wrote earlier. I initially (on the first test run) had very limited FPS, making takeoffs, landings and low flight practically impossible. However, I tried the map again at the same locations and the results are totally different, on the positive side. The same as any other maps, really. EDIT: oh, and I made no changes to the settings.

Interesting. Where did you fly, and at what altitudes? Everything was working perfect for me until I descended below 1000 feet AGL. What in-game settings do you have? I have no issues playing other maps with heavy scripted missions (ie. Liberation), and I took off from the SA map without any scripts or other units. Just myself. So I suspect there may be a significant setting that impact the performance so heavily

I am experiencing the same in VR. Starting from ground level the map is unplayable. I tried several locations and always got the same result. As soon as I was above around 1000 feet from the ground however, all was nice and smooth. This was also the case in multiple places. Below 1000feet AGL=stutters. Above 1000feet AGL= nice and smooth

Thanks for clarifying. So in short, does it mean that we can delete the opencomposite.ini file? Do we also need the other files still?

I am having the same issue. When you are writing about "custom mask", what are you referring to then? Are we talking about the VR mask inside DCS itself or in some .ini file?

Thanks for your reply. I want to fly the Apache myself, so taking the CPG-function is not requested at this time. So I understand that the short answer to my question is that it is not possible to slew the TADS to a certain point or area through the Pilot HMD, and then take control of the TADS myself for continuous search and identification. Thanks.

Hello. First; Holy moly what a module! Fantastic addition to the DCS hangar, and omg, the spinning rotor.... ED: Excellent work! Anyway; Being used to the TGP in the fixed-wing element, I am missing a function where I as a pilot without human CPG can take control of the sensors and get a visual overview of the target area. Specifically I want to identify the target area and then search on my own for targets to identify and prioritize them accordingly. Is it possible to slew the TADS to look at a specific area or point through the pilot HMD and then take control of - and slew the TADS in that relevant area as a pilot? Or is the current operation to slew the TADS to a specific location through the George CPG-AI and from there choose the targets he identifies? This is not a feature request, but more a clarification of its functions. If this is the way (no pun intended) it is supposed to work, then ok - I will adapt.

I'm having issues reading any text in the MFD when the map is activated in the EHSD page. Everything is obscured by the background. Do anyone have similar issues or suggestions on how to solve?

I'm experiencing something similar, where the smoke trail can stretch for a long distance when there's wind present

I had this issue flying on the BlueFlag multiplayer server - Syria, yesterday evening, after the last patch was released. Petrovich seems confused scanning nowhere near where I ordered him to, and having difficulties finding the targets before I have to break off due to lethal distance. In singleplayer, this behavior is not present-Petrovich is scanning exactly where I point him towards, and he finds his targets relatively fast ("human" lag taken into account)

I hereby request a livery for the Anubis C130J-30 mod, representing the C130J-30 Hercules fleet of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Mod and template can be found here: DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis - Mods and Apps - ED Forums (eagle.ru) The list of the fleet can be found here: Royal Norwegian Air Force C-130s Pictures of the lady can be found using a "simple" google search. I hope any one is up for the challenge. Thanks

I am struggling with using the tool correctly. I adjust the values but it's either too much or too little. Is there a way to add some sort of reference-line or something to "aim" for. How do you "aim" for the correct settings?

Hello. I recently bought the HP Reverb G2, coming from the Oculus Rift S. I'm struggling understanding the difference between, and use of the Mixed Reality Portal, OpenXR and SteamVR. They all seem to do the same, but I cannot seem to understand what one of them does better or different than the other. Several posts suggest to use both SteamVR and OpenXR, while some refer to the MRP, or just OpenXR. Also, I do not need to start steam to make DCS run in VR. It will then use the default HP VR app. -What are the benefits of using SteamVR or any of the other apps beside the HP default one? -Is there some sort of priority between them, making one of the apps override the settings of another? If so, do I have to start the apps in a certain way before launching DCS? EDIT: I also have Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR in the Steam Library. When would I use this? also

Maybe. I'm crossing my fingers someone will take the call But I still hope ED would have a look at it. It's got to be possible to have it both ways with this
