  1. I said less interesting. IMHO of course. Not the case if you use DCS fort what it is: simulator. You can jump into quick MP match for games like BF, but cannot do that with DCS...you need to read briefing, take off, inbound to some area, get the SITAC, do your job, come back to home plate.. And at the right moment, I mean with other connected players that suit the mission needs. I barely agree with your last point, minus the fact that it is not an important feature and should be low in stack. My bad for 'pause', I meant save. Can't you exit flight in SP, save track, have a break, then play it to the end with fast forward, and take control ? No need to wait the next time for me, if I eject/die in the early beginning of the flight, no retab but leave is my rule, you can ask my wing mates. If you retab, you loose the thrill of the mission achievement and simulator becomes just a game like any other.
  2. This game is very good in MP, into advanced scenarii, coop and/or PvP, and pause is just not an option. There are also less interesting solo missions for people who want to play solo, anyway, if you want to fight in a very limited time-slot, just create a short mission in 3 min. with the editor and tune your play-time as required... For sure you don't play a realistic simulator the way you do with BF4, shooting a few guys during your free 15 min. before lunch, and stopping it whenever you want. Why ??? Because real-life Warthog pilots cannot leave the stick to join mum in the kitchen. And BF4 allows it because it is not a realistic simulator.

  5. My bad, the C-130 went a bit far away from UGKS, in the direction to the initial arrival AB, but I tested with Neutral/blue/SP/MP and everything is OK. Just the altitude unit which is wrong.

I tried to set the waypoint e-x-a-c-t-e-l-y on the airfield symbol in the middle of the runway, setting both speed and altitude at minimum to make it 'understand' that the flight should stop, with an approaching route that looks like to final glide.... I think it did the job once, but now I fail to make it works on UGKS...

  11. I prepared 2 missions + tracks this morning to open a bug on rail-road bridges before I saw the numerous posts about issues with them... You can reproduce easily... But no issue with over types of bridges (I mean road over rail is OK) as I did in Gori: Only the last bridge got into trouble...
  12. Same here, I have been facing the issue from a long time now, but IA on some planes behaves strangely. Sometime they refuse to escort the assign group, or they fail badly when RTB... turning and turning around in the sky until they run out of fuel.... The work-around ? Just change the aircraft type (I used to set Su-27) and nothing more, the pilots will get their brain back ! But it prevents us from using a lot of aircrafts in the game...
  13. 51 pages. Plus other threads below that deal with Mist topics. Big issue: when you search for a specific Mist feature/function, this thread is returned, but the user has to browse 51 pages to find it answer. Is it possible to divide this room into sub-rooms, where Mist (and Scripting Engine) topics would be treated as multiple threads ? Maybe by features ? (spawning, triggers, and so on...) What do you think about that ?

  15. Tonigh mission report, dozen guys on private dedicated server: very few bandwith required, no issue after the fix : all clients have to set their bandwith connection to 2048k or above. All 1024k clients faced disconnections repeatedly. No communication menu bug (we used to in 1.2.7 with 15+ clients on all DCS modules mixed.)

Air Combat Simulation is not Battlefield-style game : most of players are looking for full immersion, with nice prepared briefings/debriefings, good live communications on TeamSpeak server between guys who know what job the others do. Most of servers are obviously private ones, belonging to one specific team. The best way to do is joining a virtual wing, there are a lot all around the world, pick up the one that matches your needs (language, timezone, modules, spirirt and so on...) and enjoy ! :pilotfly: If you keep looking at public servers to join like you do for FPS games, I guess that you will never meet an awesome experience in DCS. :(
  17. Hello, I wrote DCS Cleaner to remove generated stuff like .trk, .acmi and screenshots. These are nice features that I want to be enabled, but I was looking for painless way to clean my disk. I have to do another version in order to support DCS Beta, and add this directory too.
  18. Ok. Let me finish my Android Dead Reckoning application, then switch back to C#... I will do that improvement first.
  19. Is it worth it ? I mean, how big are data generated over there ? I did this tool to cleaned up huge data generated by intense flights, but if you think that it could help, I would add it.... :)
