  1. *Mutters something about the R-3R*
  2. Yeah, it's still open. Doing weekend slots only at this point. If you've PM'd and I haven't replied, feel free to PM or email again as I've kinda been flooded. Done the best I can. :)
  3. For pure dog fighting, Su-27, for anything beyond guns range, F-15.
  4. This is a cookie cutter message to everyone interesting in the DCS training sessions. As I've had a much larger than expected response and with a high university, work and social life load, I've decided to write this message to save everyone as much time and confusion as possible. I am based in BST which is GMT+1 (As it is summer). I'm going to be free Fri-Sun this week (1st-3rd). Please pick a two hour time slot and those on a first come first serve will get the slot. Times will start at 12:00BST so I have time to get up, get food and get ready. Please email your time and day with which aircraft and what very specific thing you'd like to do for those two hours. As I have mentioned to some of you before, something as specific as "A-10 gun run angles" to "Defensive BFM manevours" to "Missile employment theory crafting". I'll reply to you as soon as I can with confirmation of times and dates then we can get this show on the road. Email - IASGATG@gmail.com
  5. The A-10A/A-10C's training are pretty transferable, just obviously the C has more buttons to click.
  6. Hey Mac, thanks for the nice wall of text from cnatra. :)
  7. Afraid not. Would much rather plan it in advance. I cherish my down time and knowing it's uninterrupted makes me all warm and fuzzy.
  8. Hey Jaypee, thanks for the props. In answer to your question, not really. I'm pretty comfortable doing my own thing. This isn't really exlusively a noobie "How do I turn the jet on" thing. If people simply want to practice a particular jink or maneuver that keeps killing them in BFM then I'm happy to provide that as well. The more experienced A2A guys will know that the more you fly, the more you realise you have to learn and the more you have to practice and finesse the smallest of things. Hope that answers your question.
  9. Honey, you're making me blush.
  10. Look forward to hearing from you. :)
  11. That's sort of the point, I'm happy to go from turning engines on and just getting the bird in the air, to specific ACM tactics.
  12. Hey everyone, in a nutshell I’m offering my services to help people practice and developer skills for specific aircraft. This would be exclusively a one-on-one instruction session, each session lasting 1-2hrs depending on what you want to go through. I would only be doing this for the F-15 and the A-10. The layout would be simply to understand what you want to learn, assess the core skills, find the weakness and then explain and develop on those to improve performance; whilst hopefully in the mean time learning new tricks whilst having a laugh. Feel free to PM me or add me to Skype: IASGATG Happy Hunting.
  13. Is there any option to get lateral g as a variable implemented?
  14. If that former Olympian was 95 and has a zimmer-frame.
  15. This is a very simple analogy. The MiG-21 is the kid running in the special Olympics who occasionally, on a good day, beats Usain Bolt at the 100m. Some people are saying that perhaps the race was rigged. Sure the kid should feel good about himself, but in the broader context, not really.
  16. Baker, sorry to reiterate, but do you know why trying to actioning the CDU buttons has no effect in game?
  17. Oh Baker, another question. On the CDU, I can press the buttons and turn the dials by clicking on them, I can engage the keyboard to type mode, but it never effects the in game jet.
  18. Having you guys export the F-15's radar without having to switch lua files and stuff every time I want to change aircraft would be amazing.
  19. He didn't say 100% success rate though did he. He said if "enough" are deployed. If you look at AIM-9 shots vs QF-4's on youtube, you'll see Sidewinders flying towards flaring phantoms and miss time and again, even at close range. This is because the phantom is putting out about 10 flares a second.
  20. Countermeasures are modeled as a dice roll vs angle to the target and seeker head type. Closer to the notch the more effective.
  21. The missiles aren't accurate not due to balance reasons but due to a debate over missile engagement theory, there is a long thread elsewhere about this. To answer your question, yes the missiles are modeled different and the B is slightly slower (short ranged) and more maneuverable than the C, but the difference in maneuverability is minor where as the loss in speed is significant enough to completely outweigh it, hence the "Just stick with Charlies"
  22. If I may, what are your sources on this information?
  23. Okay so setting water quality to high gets rid of the extra exports in the cockpit + the flickering, however I still get those exports when I go to any other view (except F10).
  24. Am I being thick? It seems to be exporting everything twice? Lemme upload what I mean:
  25. Dead project?
