  1. Having watched the first part of one of those videos, it appears the licence/serial number we already have is a 2 week trial. I'm just going to buy it anyway.
  2. So what's the point of this: If you get it as a free upgrade? From:
  3. Yup, came here searching for the same thing. Can't seem to install anything in game though.
  4. Hi Drac, I am on Discord, though I don't use it a lot. I'll join the PointCtrl discord though. Thanks.
  5. Hi, Is there anywhere to see what all the different weapons that the WWII planes can carry are - particularly the german one's? Doesn't seem to be in the encyclopaedia. I'm making a mission with a group of Ju88's attacking Manston and just want lots of visible explosions if they get through and drop their bombs but while I can see the bombs come off the plane no explosions are visible beneath them, so I assume I've picked the wrong GP bomb and maybe its delay fused or something. 6. Hi all, I was one of the people who originally expressed an interest in PointCtrl - think I'm 74 on the list, but then life got in the way and I've lost track of where things are. I've had a look at the website and am now in a position to make a purchase at last. Few questions first if I may? Roughly what's the lead time? I'm in the UK so I expect postage will take awhile and I'm aware we're going to start running into Xmas post. What does postage to the UK normally come to? Does this work with MSFS? From the videos it certainly looks like it. I'm mostly looking at using it with DCS, but if it also has utility in MSFS all the better. I'm looking at the bigger kit with the add on HMS switches. I'm assuming those just show up as programmable buttons in DCS/MSFS etc and you can assign whatever you want to them? I have a reverb G2 and use a ceiling pully system with it, so the cable for the HMS will need to be as long as the Reverb's as it'll also need to go around the pully system. I'm not sure how long the reverbs cable is - I had mine replaced with the newer one some months ago. Does what comes with PointCtrl need an extension or will it match? VFRHawk
  7. Appears to be free @YoYo and works with any joystick according to its webpage. I have a Warthog myself and intend to try this and the elevator trim idea too. Using a trim buttom to map to a slider axis sounds like an excellent solution. Don't want to include a link in case that contravenes the forum rules but a quick google found the site as its top response. VFRHawk
  8. If you have Voice Attack you can have that send multiple key presses when it reads a button or switch on your HOTAS. That's how I get round the flaps and gear lever catches. How to is in another thread somewhere in here - hopefully not this one! VFRHawk
  9. Yeah, that's very useful. I'm going to do the same thing with the master arm, so it uses one button to open the cover and flip the switch. Thanks for the upload. VFRHawk
  10. In the latest Mossie Monday video, it appeared there was no delay and the MG's and cannon fired at the same time? I haven't watched the video again to confirm that, but after I watched the first time I thought "Oh, they fixed it!".
  11. Thanks for the replies everyone, it's odd that I hear all the other aircraft audio in the headset, just not the ground crew - window is definitely open! Does anyone know if there's a separate setting I may have missed somewhere that would send just the ground crew audio elsewhere?
  12. Hi, I use a reverb G2, when I use that if I open the window and ask the ground crew to start priming the engines they do so, but there's no audio acknowledgement of the order. If I play in pancake, the ground crew audibly acknowledge the order. VFRHawk
  13. Interesting. I could of sworn when I pledged the pitch was that there was an initial list, but any planes released after could also be taken instead. I may well be wrong though given how long ago that was. Is it possible to get a definitive answer from the devs please? If that's the case I'll pre-order it, as to be honest this was the plane that I wanted and the main reason I backed DCS WW II. 'Hawk
  14. Hi, I've been saving an aircraft "slot" from when I pledged for DCS WW II all those years ago. Is the expectation that this will be available to take as one of those planes as soon as it releases? As if it's not going to be available to me that way for any reason I'll be (a) pissed and (b) pre-ordering! Many thanks 'Hawk
  15. Hey, Had switch 16 on my Warthog throttle go in to a permanently on condition. I've been in touch with TM and they say they don't have that part. Can anyone give me a location to buy from, and more importantly, the right part number for a remove and replace spare? I've seen the like of mouser but I've no idea what part to buy as they're all just switches to me! It's the left switch on the top row on the throttle, fuel control left or something similar on it. Many Thanks Graham Smart
  16. You're quite right - I'd forgotten to move my sensors back on to my desk after spreading them out to play Half Life Alyx. That's cured the whole cockpit moving when I turn my head, and having done a comparison between the HUD in and out of VR, that's also not the problem I thought it was - I was looking for a tape down each side instead of boxes, guess I should have played around out of VR more! Thanks very much for you help. Time to go see what module's free ATM.. :)
  17. Yes, that's what I tried before. When I move the view as far forward as it'll go - using rctr/rshift/numpad * - I get the pitch ladder and the heading tape, but the two side tapes (speed and altitude) are off the sides of the HUD and invisible. I just tested again in the F/A 18. I've also gained a new problem now in that when I turn my head, the DCS window moves slightly too. Happens before I even get in to the aircraft - as I look around the title screen I can see it moving. Guess that's a new bug to look at! I use the DCS updater Utility and have just had it do a clean to make sure there's no corruptions and a check that everything is up to date, which it is.
  18. Thanks for the reply. I've tried this many times - I set up a slider on my Warthog's throttle that handles zoom - and it doesn't seem to matter what I do with that - or with head position for that matter - I get the same problem. I can move my head around in VR and see more of the HUD that is being projected outside the area I can see whilst looking straight forward, if that makes sense?
  19. Hi, I'm running a Rift CV1, and all the modules I have with a HUD, the HUD is invariably larger than the panel it's projected on. Seems to have been discussed quitre a lot on the forums. I'd like to try more modules in the current window (which is great btw), but most of what I'm interested in are planes with HUD's. I have the A10 and F/A 18 which both have the problem. My question is twofold: 1) Has anyone ever found a solution to the over-sized HUD problem? and 2) Does it affect all aircraft with a HUD, or are some sonehow, exempt? Many Thanks Graham
  20. Yeah, I'd like to be able to decouple head movement from cursor movement. I'm likely to be buying one of the finger tracking kits in the hardware forum, so having to keep my head still whilst pointing at something sounds like an unnecessary challenge. VFRHawk
  21. Like many others have said, I can see this as a great addon for VR flying - personally I fly the UH1 a lot and think this would be great. One thing that was mentioned earlier that I'd like to re-iterate, would be the ability to mount the sensor to something like the top of your monitor and use this with other sims (not just flight, I could see it working well in things like racing games too) outside of VR. I'm about to spend a lot more money then you are discussing buying switch boxes and radio stacks for P3D. If I could use this in that sim I probably won't bother with the switch boxes.. I guess ideally being able to move between the two (HMD mounted and monitor mounted) would be ideal. Maybe something to consider once production is underway as it would widen the appeal. Many thanks Graham
  22. Thanks for the info on that, had never heard of it before and it looks like a great addon for VR flying. VFRHawk
  23. Sure, it's just a simple trigger for time > 1 and play sound to coalition... Mission is supposed to be one in a series, until I couldn't work out how to build a campaign for MP. :music_whistling: It's not really finished yet, but it's just about playable for 1 or 2 F15's. Airfield Defense.rar
  24. Thanks everyone, that's what I needed to know.
