  1. @ KillALF: Thanks for clarifying. @ Geskes: Dude, you must have thumbs like an orangutan for that to be comfortable! I zoom in and out alot, so I set the mic hat to be zoom in/out/reset and TIR centre, with the original mic functions set to a shifted function.
  2. Hi All, To those of you with a TM:WH...what do you use the "increase/decrease" grey lever on the throttle for? The one directly to the right of the throttle levers. I can't think of a thing to assign it to. I'd like to assign it to change the gain on n/v goggles...but I need a working version of TARGET to do that. Any idea what its mean to be for? Is it just something TM has added as a feature? In anticipation of other WH users Brewber.
  3. Awesome dismount!
  4. I get a little twist when pressing S1 (that's the master mode button right?!) Other than when pressing S1, no problems with axis throws or mechanical movements etc.
  5. Serial #: 00575 Location: UK
  6. It would be quite cool if the virtual pilot body could give an arm or hand gesture as a "go" for formation take offs. Back in the days when I bothered to fly, we used to do formation take offs and were plagued by crappy lag/delay in TS/Ventrilo. We then practised "comms silent" formation takeoffs, which we got to work after a lot of practice...but it would have been easier if the flight lead could have nodded his head or shook a fist or something. I'll get back under the radar now ;)
  7. Good thinking Flask;)
  8. Well written BeachAV8R, and thanks for taking the time to do the pics and narrative. Nice one, rep inbound.
  9. FC2 is just an excellent improvement over FC. No longer do we have laser beam straight cannons, and I too dropped an RBK250 too low and it just thudded in to the ground. Rockets disperse everywhere but near the target, and curse the damn laser pipper in the Su25 as it frequently "loses lock" because I pitch up a little too much on the stick. Happy? Hell yes, now its a decent challenge and solo I can't now annihilate an entire tank division like I used to ;) Well done ED...and its pretty too ;)
  10. WTF are PAK2 and FC-FA? Is this a case if TMBA?
  11. I know what you mean/feel like...but seriously, FC is the most stable game I have ever played in multiplayer. Its a long time ago now, 2006 or 2007 I think, but the 169th server had a massive MP mission (64 slots I think) on it where 169th Ice bet no-one could take out the carrier. So the 504 got all its A2A and A2G pilots together to kill the ships. From wheels up to sinking the ships it took us more than 2.5 hours of flying, with the A2A guys running top cover and intercepts/mixing it up as a diversion while us A2G guys in T frogs took a 300km orbital route to strike the target from behind. It was a phenomenal mission and of the 16 of us 504 pilots that were flying, only 2 had application crashes throughout the mission. Although I appreciate your frustration, and I know what you mean as mine seemed to crao out usually while on finals etc, ED (and the beta testers I guess) really ought to get the credit they deserve for such robust MP code.
  12. Hi Bucic, I'm not on the main PC at the moment, but I should get some time over the weekend and will do you some high res & sharp shots. Is it the black shark #57 you're most interested in?
  13. Hi Bucic, I used a little blur to soften the sharpness of the raw image. Its also only a 90% quality jpeg as 100% is file heavy without much significant improvement in image quality. I appreciate BS can do sharper shots, like these ones here, but sometimes feels too sharp. Like your screenie btw ;)
  14. Some messing about to create wallpapers...

  16. Hi Xylem, I think you're editing the wrong files. If I've misunderstood, sorry, but you should be editing with values in the snapviews.lua file. I've attached a screenshot of the section relevant to the Su-25T, and you can see in the top of the screenshot the filepath...so you know which file you should be tweaking...and you can see the green comments in the file as to what the original values are. Edit: I didn't update my comments in the file so don't worry about the actual values (in orange) being different from what I say are the values being tested (in green)...its only cos I am lazy ;) What you need to do is adjust the "viewAngle" for how far "forward" or "back" in the pit you want your head to be when you first enter the pit...and the "vAngle" is how "high" or "low" your virtual head is in the pit. So, for me and my preference, my virtual head is a little further back than originally, and its a little lower down than originally. You just need to mess with these values until you get what you want. The other files you've been playing with dictate the Min and Max limits of zoom, but its values in this snapviews.lua file that specify the default values when you first jump in to pit or reset your zoom. I hope I understood your problem, and this post helps, cos my fingers are really tired from all this typing ;) Good luck and let us know how you got on. regards Brewber.
  17. I did miss that completely...and good! In the end its really no fun when your bombs and bullets land exactly where the pipper is. Nice to have some dispersion/variability so dropping an rbk or squeezing the trigger while pipper on target isn't an "insta-kill" in future. It does seem faintly ridiculous that you can be NOE, pop up to 1000m, roll, dive and release, sneak away...while behind you your bombs land perfectly on target. I like the fact rocket attacks are real "area" effect stuff. The one thing I hope for more than anything else in FC2 is the satellite view in the Mission Editor. I thought making missions in FC was tiresome...but its nothing compared to the torture of DCS's ME when trying to be clever with unit placement. Its a real shame because DCS ME brought us templates, triggers, area/timed explosions and all sorts of goodies, only to murder that with the removal of satellite view, so you can't tell where the treeline really is, or the light/dark patches of ground to make units easier or harder to see etc, without having to run the mission, have a look, tweak it, rinse and repeat. Anyways, I'll be buying it whatever features it brings, and whatever features it might also remove.
  18. Hi All To change the position of your in-game head you need to edit the values in snapviews.lua. See this very useful post from Sinelnic.
  19. Damn...no more 4 or 5 tank kills in a single pass anymore...compared to the A-10s "laser beam" cannon. Oh well, back to lobbing RBK250s ;)
  20. Equally good would be to be able to have more than one "client" in each "flight"...so at least that would remove alot of the need to duplicate waypoints.
  21. Do you remember the forums going screwy just before DCS:BS was launched? The child in me hopes this was something similar ;) It is just a hope though, I have no inside info at all :( Edit: Damn, EB is fast at intervening with our speculation!
  22. God damn that looks just fricking awesome. Really good work on that ;)
  23. I'm hoping its the secret going's on to get the forum ready for FC2.0 ;) (crosses fingers and toes)
  24. ^^^ What he said, but lets hope they keep pressing on with Warthog, and then with a new engine ;)
