  1. I have everything maxed apart from trees 9000m, clutter 1000m, 4xMSAA and 512 res MFD. I have no FPS problems. Only time I get low FPS for a blink of a second is when a group spawns, thats it.
  2. So problem is as follows. I have a trigger zone, which is entered by a truck and causes a huge explosion. Problem is, this explosion also happends when the truck gets killed. Secondly, I have another vechicle with a similiar task, but for some reason when it enters the trigger zone the explosion happends in the other trigger zone. :helpsmilie:
  3. Well, in case of a real conflict in the Black Sea region I'm pretty sure US Aircraft would operate from Carriers in the Mediterranean and from Turkish land bases. Would be crazy to trap yourself in a large pond with one tiny exit together with a whole fleet of Russian Warships, when you don't have to. EDIT: At least the Mediterranean has two tiny exits ;)

  5. I noticed this too. Only when the aircraft starts accelerating down the runway they close for a while untill AI is airborn.

  7. Yes you are correct, I ment to write carriers, late night brainfart. Yes I read the whole thing, what is your point? Did I claim that there is a mention that prohobitis aircraft carriers specificly? What prohibits non-Black Sea Aircraft Carriers is their weight.

According to this treaty it's not very realistic to have US Ships in the Black Sea :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreux_Convention_Regarding_the_Regime_of_the_Turkish_Straits "In the case of non-Black Sea powers, these terms make it impossible for transit any modern ships carrying aircraft through the straits without violating the terms of the convention."
  9. Being able to use the Oil rig helipads would be great too. Atm you can't even place a static helicopter on them.
  10. +1 I think the airport in Kars could even be squeezed in to the current map. The region is interesting, and we really need a believable base of operations for NATO forces. Of course I like the idea of many other maps, but expanding the current map southwards would maybe be a 'lighter' and more easily achievable update.
  11. Well I have assigned them to 'Attack Group'. Yes this is exactly what I'm having. With a single Mi-8, Single Mi-28N, single Mi-24V and pair of Ka-50 that I tried so far. Worst beeing the Mi-24 that did not fire offf a single weapon in 20min.
  12. I don't know what's wrong. But all missions I create having a helo performing CAS they just endlessly circle around somewhere near the targets..if lucky manage to fire of a single Vikhr or couple rockets during 30min of flying. (Opposed to when I put in a Su-25T, which kills the whole group on one approach) If there is some kind of air defence in place good if they even go close. Mountainous terrain makes it totally impossible I feel bad for the ground troops under attack..
  13. +1 In the original Lock-On you could actually see the object you where placing from the top if you zoomed in enough with the satellite view the editor had back then. I really really REALLY wish they will implement it in DCS. It's so frustrating to try to build a base around a FARP for example, when you have to test the mission a hundred times in order to see that the objects are placed correctly.

  16. I've been having similar issues as others here. In the Gun training mission and laser guided missile training video it locks fine and all, but the fire button is dead. Nothing happens (regardless if using space bar or joystick). In the Shkval and Anti-Radar trainings it works fine..
  17. I just bought the A-10C, Mi-8, Ka-50 and FC3 from the ED site (and lock-on off ebay.. :ranting:) The three first will keep me pretty busy for a while I guess :joystick:
  18. Atleast for me the price makes almost exactly the same. Because on DCS site the prices are in dollars and in my steam in Euros.

  20. Hi everyone, I have the latest version of DCS installed but no modules at the moment (waiting for christmas sales...) In the videos I see infantry that can run and AI helicopters that can land on any flat surface of ground. However neither of this is possible in DCS World at the moment. Are theese features part of some module only? Thanks!

  22. Just a few smaller things I would like fixed for most enjoyment. I'm a keen mission bulider so theese things stick out for me maybe more than for most. Aircraft: - I wish all aircraft would have equal level 3D model and damage model (AI included). - I wish all aircraft would have correct skins for each country (ie. Turkish UH-60 reads 'United States Army' on the tail fin) Map: - I know we are getting a new Nevada map, but thats not really what i was longing for. But as they probably have their work cut out a perhaps less demanding task (than buildin an entirely new map) would be to add Kars airport in Turkey to the current map. This would bring a NATO land base into the scene and would expand possibilities a lot. Mission Editor: - I REALLY wish they would make the static objects visible when you are placing them..I think in the original Lock-On or Flanker you coulds actually see the aircraft for example that you where placing, this made it easy to point in the right direction and place precisely. Now I have to spend half and hour building a FARP for with trial and error type of placing of the object, this makes me rip my hair off sometimes. Ships: - Same goes here s for the aircraft, equal 3D models.
  23. UPDATED LIST TO 1.2.7 All F-16 MLU skin where supposed to be fixed in 1.2.7, but seems that only Belgian and Danish skins show correctly. Italian F-16 now has a skin, but no markings. Dutch and Norwegian are still Red/Green/Blue. Turkish UH-60 uses US Army skin. Israeli UH-60 has one own UN skin but the other one is US Army. Israeli AH-1W uses US Army skin. Spanish F/A-18C uses US Navy skin. Canadian F/A-18 uses US Navy skin. Ukrainian Tu-22M3 uses Russian Air force skin + Bort number is always '00'. Australian C-130 has USAF skin Italian C-130 has USAF skin. MiG-23's bort numbers are messed up, partly dissapearing into the skin. MQ-9 Reaper has only USAF skin regardless country operating it. Theese are the ones I found so far. Please feel free to contribute if you find more! UPDATE 25.1.2014
  24. I'm just not interested in a sim that is made 90% on guessing and 10% of actual data. The current generation jets have been operational world-wide already for decades, some earlier variants have even retired. Access to theese jets is much more free, info about the handling charasteristics is more available, pilots from different countries have flown them, shared their experiences. They have been compaired against eachother in military exercises (ie. Many American pilots got to train against German MiG-29s and fly them). Lots of unclassified data and manuals are available. I'm not saying it would not be fun to use the advertised super situational awareness features of the F-35, or exploiting stealth capabilities. But it's not interesting for me if it's based upon someones imagination and not how it actually is. EDIT: It's true some FC planes are lacking in realism, but thats because they are relics from the Flanker/Lock-On era, everything new that is beeing released is DCS level.
