I have also wondered about the realism of ground battle at times. Like when putting a T-90 tank or a BMP on the battlefield, they can basically wipe out a whole column of vehicles with AT missiles at a safe range just by them self. Is this realistic?

Who wants to buy the F-86 Sabre right now?
Netsk replied to Visceral Raptor's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
I'm pretty sure they knew that there would be a huge demand at that price. Thats why they probably limited the amount of keys available for the Flash Sale. -
Who wants to buy the F-86 Sabre right now?

May I ask what is the point of creating this thread? Next poll will be 'Who wants all DCS content for free?' -
I hope not only a skin. The list of countries should really be expanded.

Wow, excellent updates! Pretty much all I could hope for. The simulation elements in the mission editor are VERY welcome. P.S I hope the few remaining Lock On -era aircraft/ship/ground -unit 3D models also get an update in 2.0.
-
LOTS of AI models are in desperate need of a 3D model update. It does not men that they will be flyable, just more pleasant to look at. I for one love that they pay attention to those things, I already stopped using the aircraft in mission making that have outdated 3D model.

Pretty damn good I must say  (sorry for the bad quality, was not exactly planning on filming and flying from external view with one hand and holding the phone) http://torre.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Life/Mobile/Ka50.mov

I'm a university student. No kids and not officially married (thank god). I started simmin with the original F/A-18 Korea, then briefly sims like MiG Alley, Super Hornet, F-16 Agressor, Ka-52 Alligator, Il-2 Sturmovik and Falcon 4.0. More seriously flew Flanker 2.0/2.5 and Lock-On when it was released. Dropped mil sims and started flying FS2004 when it was released up untill like 2007. Since that I haven't been gaming or simming at all up untill just this year when I bought a new rig :) (been an Apple fanboy in between, and still am ;))

Heh, I actually tried the Huey at my friends place. For me it felt slightly easier than the Mi-8, which really gets me frustrated at times :). Ka-50 is really easy to fly in my opinion (kinda feels almost too easy after Mi-8..). Watching something like this just makes me pick my jaw off the floor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bopq52ncaBk (given it's done in sim mode..)
-
Tempted to buy the Huey..but damn with my current time available for simming it's gonna take years to master even the ones I own atm..

HI! Some questions. Does this mod add Switzerland as country or is it only Hornet skins? Does these skins overwrite some existing ones? Thanks!
-
But after this change they don't fire on ground objects anymore..? or..?
-
I totally agree. (Although there are two bridges from Abkhazia to Georgia) This pic is from my mission where Russian troops enter Abkhazia from Sochi direction (the brown truck is just AI traffic). In the picture you can see: 3x T-90 1x Shilka 1x Tunguska
-
I hope they will make it smoke like the Kuznetsov.
-
Maybe in Roubles :)
-
Well we have that kind of physics? Just remember to add some sea level wind in the ME if you want the ships to rock. In the video there also is no wake effect, while DCS has pretty good one.
-
Depends on aircraft. On some the amount is correct.
-
This about the realistic amount. But it's only visible in hard turns when going full military judging by the videos.
-
Sorry for the crappy quality, for some reason I'm unable to take screenshots (only gets my desktop) so I took a quick a snap with the phone. This is from a Instant Action mission, using the mission editor I can not reproduce this bug.

Difference DCS World SU25T and Flaming Cliffs 3 SU25
Netsk replied to jomar machado's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Difference is the Su-25A is in service IRL Su-25T is not :) (only a few prototypes ever existed, as it proved to be too expensive, though they saw some real combat testing in Chechnya). Russian Airforce decided to go for the Su-25SM upgrade. Georgians have their own Georgian/Israeli designed Su-25KM 'Scorpion' upgrade and Ukraine has some own program as well called Su-25M1 -
The F-15 does smoke on power changes. It's true that it's not such a thick puff of smoke, rather a light brown line that appears for a few seconds. Small fix in the appearance of the smoke is needed at some point I agree. (While on the other hand the Su-27 should perhaps smoke slightly more.) Definitely not worth crying over. And I have to hand it to them that some aircraft like MiG-29's smoke effect is absolutely spot on perfect. And I really like that they implemented this.
-
They are not supposed to. They almost don't smoke IRL, only perhaps on engine load changes they make a 'puf'. Only a few DCS aircraft actually smoke visibly IRL, like MiG-29 and F-4.
-
What does this mean exactly? Whole of Georgia is already in DCS World as it is. (Wish it would have read northern Turkey :P) But great news everything! Even though I just ordered Lock-On from eBay ;)

Please fix the skins already :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=117628
