Fanboys fanboys fanboys. I'll wager 100% of the folk hating on il2 have played it and played it and played it. Il2 like FSX has variety. DCS is going to make you pay for every single addon. at least il2 offered new aircraft with pretty much each new patch. Something that made the sim last as long as it has and continues to. Thats the problem with the fall of communism all the tallented folk are all master capatalists now. Kind regards

Thanks for the replies. Geforce GTX680 4gb. I uninstalled my display drivers along with all profiles associated. Then reinstalled. Problem solved. There's a lesson here... something to do with not playing around with setting I don't understand. A lesson that I probably wont pay attention to. Thanks again Kind regards

Hi, I updated to 1.2.3 everything was fine no problems at all. I was playing around with settings on FSX DX10 and all that, you all know what a Pain in the ass FSX can be to get just right. Anyway I went back to DCS and this happened Has anybody encountered this before? What happened? How do I fix this. FSX is fine The problem is with DCS. Kind Regards

You'll always get 'fanboys" Both sims have their plus sides and both have their negative sides. I can get pretty decent frame rates flying around Aerosofts LA full settings http://i390.photobucket.com/albums/oo341/trashsifter/2013-2-24_7-6-31-93.png http://i390.photobucket.com/albums/oo341/trashsifter/2013-2-24_7-6-10-268.png but the urge to drop a few bombs on Disneyland or hollywood is an itch i just cannot scratch unless I fly the excellent VRS superbug with tacpack. DCS offers an excellent military environment albeit with limited aircraft. FSX offers a huge array of addons some are subpar but some are excellent and some of the excellent are free, generously developed for the community by unselfish individuals. And the world is your oyster you can fly ANYWHERE in FSX. FSX has bee around for a long time so the addons are numerous. DCS will be around for a long time i'm sure and in a few years the addons will be numerous. I fly both for different reasons and I like them both. Kind Regards
