Skate Zilla's F-86F Layered PhotoShop Templates - Unofficial
rubblebeam replied to SkateZilla's topic in F-86F
Excellent job. Very impressive -
Here come the WT crowd. You are reacting, you're coming on the forum to complain about the way some folk are playing. That's not ignoring them.
-
I don't see it there. Maybe you want to post a link? Never mind found it in SkinpackV1
-
Where can I get hold of that skin?

If ED release the SDK I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to replace the historical with the modern on the Normandy map. The geography is the same

VEAO are going to do a Falkland islands map

Hi all, Say I wanted to make a FAC mission. Would it be possible to have a trigger to place random units on the map. Say I was to make a pool of 6 or seven different enemy platoons/divisions each with its own position on the map and at a trigger a script runs and tells the game to place 1 of those 6 or 7 platoons/divisions on the map? The one thing about mission making that bugs me is there is no longevity. Once one has done the mission its done. And if one has created the mission there are no real surprises. I was wondering if it was, in anyway, possible to add some kind of randomness?

DCS WWII: 1944 FAQ Discussion
rubblebeam replied to LostOblivion's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
There will be more threads like this and the others. This one will be closed and another added to the list. It will continue until the truth of what happened to RRG and the ED takeover is revealed. You can say "never going to happen". To tell folk to read through all the previous post then post here is "never going to happen". Accepting a situation discussed on the internet without the facts, for some folk is "never going to happen" Just the way it is -

And unfortunately we never will. So these threads will continue to come up. -
DCS WWII: 1944 FAQ Discussion

I'll agree with you there. Let's just say the Dora is 90%, at the most, a company B product. These threads go nowhere because folk post when not knowing all the facts. -

Very helpful post. The very worst of the internet right there. To the OP there is nothing you can do. It is what it is. Kickstarter won't do anything. They have their 20% of the funds they don't care and anyone telling you to take it up with kickstarter have no idea what they're talking about. Others have tried. There are many people who feel the same way you do. All you can do is chalk it up as a lesson learned and keep your money in your pocket next time a developer wants money for development. -
Whats the difference between COMM communication menu and COMM push to talk? Ive never got the communication menu to work with \ but the rAlt + \ push to talk works. What's the difference between those two?q

I've always thought game developers have been lazy in regards to the vietnam war. It was a very unconventional war and game developers have tried to squeeze it into conventional gameplay. It doesn't work. The ground war was predominantly a war of attrition, kind of boring for the "i must have action now" gameplayer mentality. The air war was straight jacketted with ROE, SAM sites could not be hit until they were operational to avoid the risk of killing Russian. Target selection in the North was determined by the politicians in Washington not the military. Airfields were of limits in case the North Vietnamese moved their aircraft into China, which would have increase their reaction time! Bewildering. The Vietnam war offers huge potential for a game developer with the imagination to go beyond convention. The aircraft set alone would offer a lot of diverse game styles. FAC (slow and fast), SAM suppression, Electronic warfare, Gunships.... ets etc The potential is huge

So you want a crosshair to the side of the revi floating in mid air? Why not just remove the revi too. Then the bar, then why not remove the whole cockpit and just have the crosshair.
-
I wasn't getting upset about airfield straifing. I was pointing out why the p51s weren't at altitude. People play theway they want to, that's the nature of the beast. If folk don't like the ROE of servers they will find others that is also the nature of the beast. Like I said I wasn't upset just explaining to the guy who was complaining about the p51 pilots
-
DCS is non historic but the planes are fair. I'd like the servers to implement more realistic numbers. At the moment i'm seeing the germans have a far superior numbers advantage. Folk will flock to the better planes, that's just the way it is, you cannot change human nature but you can limit it. Also to the guy complaining about a lack of skill from the p-51 pilots. When I was on yesterday the minority p-51s were being targeted on the runway. Its not surprising the P-51s were flying low they were not given a chance to get any altitude. Until co-op and actual missions are implemented in MP servers, unfortunately air-quake is all were going to get and that is not going to attract many single players to make to change to multi player.
-
Same thing with the p-51
-
Same thing is happening in Battle of Stalingrad ever since the release of their 190.

THAT....WAS.... AWESOME!

I'm all for squadrons, they promote teamplay and some of the best things about online playing. Unfortunately they also promote the worst things about online playing, namely selfish attitudes, elitism and a sense of self importance. This sim will flourish with or without squadrons. It's a very exciting time for the DCS community. EDGE is just around the corner and I'm pretty sure the player base is set to explode. I voted no. If there was a no @#$%$##@ way option I'd have voted that
-
That's a shame, I was hoping to get a few folk unaccustomed to the Dora in my P-51 before they get practice and start handing me my a55

My little problem was sorted out very quickly and very satisfactorily. Kudos ED. I don't want to swamp the guys working on this but if you're having problems just open a ticket. They seem to be manning battle stations and are doing a great job.
