  1. ok will do. oh and thanks ED.
  2. no sir I did not. I had a p-51 from before the kickstarter and now I have an extra 2 keys from somewhere. Not that I'm complaining. I was wondering if that was to effect my other choices. If I only get 3 more choices now, after ive chosen the dora?
  3. Ok I have "All aircraft of choice and print-ready PDF manual" At the moment I have 2 p-51 keys and a 190 key. How many more choices do I get as a $160 backer. I did not choose the p-51 keys by the way. I was wondering if there was a mistake there.
  4. The air war in Vietnam was a mess. Restricted zones, restrictions on targets. Civilians back in Washington choosing the targets and tactics. Bombing halts. The biggest threat at the time were the SAMS. To counter the SAM threat pilots were told to fly lower, which just put them in range of the guns and the North Vietnamese gunners were very disciplined. They just filled a sector of sky, that they knew the planes were going to fly through, with flack. A fascinating and bewildering war on many levels. I'm all for it in DCS
  5. Millions of years ago a worm said the same thing when other worms thought it would be cool to do something different. That worms descendents are still wriggling around while the other worms descendents have been to the moon and back. Change is good. Evolution is good
  6. Or "Team People's Temple" If there's an option for a ticket to Jonestown in my backers rewards section i'm quitting this game.
  7. Don't play the blame game. Like mac said hes been waiting since October for a p-51 key. There are many different personal stories to this. All I was saying was that if the backer rewards section isn't ready by release of the dora it's no big deal. For some obviously they have a legitimate gripe regarding P-51 keys.
  8. And talking of bonuses. I had a $6 credit on my account which I used on my saber purchase, which canceled out the $10 reward. what a dumbass
  9. I'm not the biggest advocate of the restructured rewards system, but I have to say you guys are unbelievable. So what if you miss out on a day 1 release of the dora because the backer rewards section isn't complete on time. The world wont end. It's not like there's a limited amount of keys and you'll miss the boat. You'll get a key, you'll get to fly eventually. Relax, enjoy what you already have. Patience is a virtue.
  10. FM template? Where can I get that?
  11. Bristol Beaufighter. Just looks like it's got a purpose. Especially with invasion stripes
  12. No North Vietnam?
  13. Yeah that's the first thing I thought when I read it. Some folk really need to relax and start thinking better of folk in the community. A sense of humour goes a long way. As an Englishman living in the US I understand humour doesn't translate sometimes, but seriously give folk the benefit of any doubt and think before posting
  14. I agree The same pilot in every aircraft is a little irritating if I'm realy honest. I know there are more pressing things but it's one of my pet peeves with dcs
  15. The kickstarter states "Our goal is to grow the DCS WWII line into a long-running simulation series covering all theaters of WWII, and expanding into other nearby conflicts, such as the Korean War." I don't want to make accusations, I've done enough of that already, but the delay on WW2 Europe from RRG may have had something to do with some of the workforce being directed to work on other things like the Korean War. Trying to run before they could crawl
  16. Just bought the Sabre, I wasn't a fan before. I'm not that interested in the Korean war apart from the Skyraider. But I have to say you guys have done an awesome job with this module. Money well spent. Thank you
  17. Yep I just bought it and took it for a spin. It is worth it. The cockpit is gorgeous. Awesome work
  18. Thanks for the reply I guess I'll be forking out for the Sabre.
  19. As a $160 backer it states that I will receive a Copy of any DCS product. Does that include third party products or just ED products? The Sabre is looking mighty tempting although I'm not a fan of the Sabre it looks damn good. I don't know where I copied and pasted that from but now it states Copy of any Eagle Dynamics developed DCS product. So I guess my question is answered
  20. I'm hoping for the release of the SDK so that the community that are interested in this can pull together and create the maps needed. The route packages etc. The Vietnam air war was very complicated and interesting. So many different aspects and so many different innovations evolved during the war. I'm currently working on an A-1H Skyraider but I lack the C++ skills to create an AFM. So it's just going to be a Flaming cliffs type deal. Hopefully others can pool their talents and make this happen with or without 3rd party/ED involvement. I remember the old 1c game "Whirlwind of Vietnam" and there was "Wings Over Vietnam" but there has been nothing else. There is an interest for it, not as great as the interest for WW2 but there definitely is a lot of people interested in the Vietnam air war.
  21. Doesn't work. You get a green icon instead
  22. I understand your grievance I really do. I felt exactly the same as you do. However the bigger picture is some folk have lost their jobs over the whole mess. We as backers have lost very little in comparison. A few virtual airplanes, manuals etc. But we go back to work on Monday (3 day weekend for me woohoo). I'm not going to tell you to shut up and accept it. Just saying there is a forest behind all the trees
  23. Thanks for the reply. I eagerly and impatiently await the announcement. But I won't push it.
