Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to remove certain buildings, towns etc and increase the amount of trees? Say I would like to recreate the Vietnam highlands in the highlighted area of the map Is that at all possible?

Does the recent activity of Groove, with his much appreciated work, granting access to the backers forum for the ones left behind, signal an unexpected and appreciated final step towards alpha access? Could it be that they didn't want to grant alpha until all the backers rewards were finally resolved and we are so close? Or am I reading too much into things and starting to suffer some form of internet mania? Should I slump back down into internet depression? -

I know you're something of a big wig around here Sith but you need to read the kickstand page. It clearly states DCS WWII: Europe 1944 will enter alpha around February of 2014. There's the fact my comment was based on. "Around February" I agree is somewhat ambiguous but let's be honest alpha will not be in May and probably not June.

I'm kind of disappointed that the last 4 updates have been about the 109. There are 5 additional aircraft supposedly in development, 1 of which, the Dora, has been in development a lot longer than the 109. Is everybody involved in this project ALL working on the same thing? The 109? For a project that was supposed to be early access in February it's looking woefully behind schedule for the September 2014 release. Where's the spitfire? What news on the "huge plans for the games multiplayer component" I appreciate the weekly updates that folk have been demanding and were promised but to be honest the last 4 weeks of screenshots of the 109 could have been taken from the same session 4 weeks ago. 4 weeks and no propeller animation? Really? -

Why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone with these updates and show the 109 in the Normandy terrain? Or is the map being left until last? Personal i have no interest in the German aircraft, I would have preferred an extra British aircraft than the 262 but thats how the voting went I can't complain but show those of us who arent really interested in the German aircraft the Normandy terrain in the background at least -

How about better smoke effects. Better Flame effects, Better explosion effects. Better effects in general. I find the whole of the DCS effects sorely lacking and something that needs to be updated. Maybe with the new graphics engine that can be accomplished.

thanks mystic I can work with that. Call me weird but I find it a little wrong wearing somebody else's kill markings. Especially as I have a very hard time killing the ai in this sim. I appreciate it though it looks great

Hi, I have a model In game all animated textured etc. I was wondering if someone could, in simple terms, explain the steps to get a working cockpit. Say I was to use the P-51 cockpit. If I was to copy the "Cockpit_P-51D.edm" to my "cockpit/resources/model/shape" folder. What lua files do I need to edit and what do I need to enter into the lua files? I've been through the forums backwards and forwards for the past week scratching my sore head. Somebody please help me. Thanks in advance Kind regards

A pretty empty response. No substance just a negative dismissal. What is there to get? Its a "digital combat simulator" Same thing as il2, same thing as arma, arma2 etc etc. Graphics are a bit fancier. Whats to get? Whats the point of your dismissal my good man?
