  1. Hello all, This may be a dumb question but I am having trouble getting my "End Game" conditions correct. I think I might be confused by the Units Alt and Speed. The mission was just a simple test. Strike a Scud and RTB to the Stennis. The flag and message come up for delivering the strike. But I cannot get the message when I land on the carrier to work. Currently my set up is the following. Trigger Once Conditions Flag is true 6 (This works as it also sets off other txt and that is all fine) Units Speed lower than 1kts Units Alt lower than 1 (I also tried 75 as my Baro registers 70 sitting on the stennis this is NOT the AGL lower than that is also a condition). Also the Stennis is just sitting in the water. According to F10 it is 0 bearing, 0 speed. Is there a simple solution?. Thanks for the help and stay safe
  2. Turn on your SA page. There is a small box with a dot and that is where your tgp is looking at. You can move it to your waypoints easily this way or get a better idea where you are looking. Once i discovered this it was a game changer to find targets.
  3. Did you make sure the height was set for the tgt waypoint?. If not and its a custom mission the default is 7k feet? and you will NEVER hit your target. You can change in the mission editor OR in the pit on the HSI Data page.
  4. Make sure your on Zulu time. If you on the Cacaus map you are 4hrs off and the carrot will never be correct. If you look on the attached image from Ramsey it shows the IFFEE @ 10:04:04 (Local time) and on the HUD it shows 06:04:04 (Zulu time). You need to set you TOT via Zulu time for it to work. IE: 06:20:04 ZULU for a local time On Target of 10:20:04. On the IFFEE you can press the Zone button and the clock there will display Zulu. Hope that helps as that is what really confused me.   5. I had a issue with air starts in the PG map. All of my Harms would ripple when I pressed the pickel button. When I did a ground start no such issue. Attached is a track that rippled. I only had 2 HARMS on so it was a double ripple. When you have 4 it launchs all 4. Any one else have this issue. HARM.trk
  6. The big thing that got me was ZULU time. In the black sea its 4hrs off. so you start at 08:00:00 and you set your TOT to 08:15:00 thinking you are going to reach the TOT at 08:15:00 well you are all ready 4hrs off. You need to set ZULU for the TOT. Look at your HUD or fuel panel and hit zone to bring up Zulu. Then you know what the real TOT should be. Also Ground Speed is not needed to be set. BUT as others have said if you DO NOT set ground speed the the TOT will be divided by the number of waypoints and the computer will tell the constant speed for the TOT. If you set a Ground Speed you can have the RUN IN faster. IE: 400 Ground Speed at Waypoint 2. (With 3 being tgt). The computer will figure out how fast you need to fly to hit waypoint 2 so you can Increase speed to 400 for you attack run. it should would look like this. (Numbers are made up fyi) No ground speed you go 300 for all waypoints to hit your TOT. With ground speed you go 250 until waypoint 2 at waypoint to it would jump to the 400 you set so you are engaging the target at a faster speed. But both ways you hit TOT the same.
  7. Under the mods section you can find the deck crew and gear (Or at least used to be they took down a bunch of mods). The planes are all ready in game. You use the static object selector in the mission editor. There is a box to select link to unit (Or something along thoes lines) and then use the drop down menu to select the CVN so there linked. you need to place each plane in what ever position you would like. Most naval aircraft have stowed positions so wings are folded etc. I have not found a way to make a template so I have to add the effects each time I make a carrier group. I found a youtube vid explaining it so you might want to try to search there. Im at work so I cannot link for you. Hope that helps
  8. Thanks for the help. I also was setting Std time NOT ZULU time so my indicator never worked as the TOT is in Zulu i was 4hrs off before. Hit my target today +/- 5 sec within TOT time set. It would be nice if we could use ZULU in the mission editor.
  9. Hello, I was looking for some info on what indicators there are when you set a TOT in the F-18C. For instance in the Viggen it tells you when you should take off with a timer. Then on the HUD it lets you know if your slow or fast. I must be missing something right in front of me. I would think there is some help from the computer to get you to your target on time. I set TGT way point, TOT Time, Ground Speed. It shows the proper info on my Data page of the HSI. I just don't see any ques on the HUD. and the hsi info didn't really make any sense. Thanks for any help on this.
  10. You can allways load out with Aim-120's to make BVR easier. Fire your first 120 deselect and lock up another target then fire again. At that point you can either merge or run back toward the boats for SAM support. Also make sure to have your wingman active so he will also engage targets to take the load off you. The Migs are the only real issue the SU's are not much of a threat.
  11. Hello Guys, I am finally going to start my simpit and had a question on Mini monitors. I have been looking at some cheap monitors usually for car use. They are under $50 usd ea. I am wondering about the hit to performance and also a question on setting them up. I want to do 3 mini monitors for my MFCD's. My Specs. I5-4670k @ 3.4ghz 1080ti 16GB ram Windows 7 Running 27" 1080 monitor 60hz. I also have a extra GTX-970 sitting around from my last upgrade. Can I install the GTX-970 and run the 3 extra monitors from there to lighten the load from the 1080ti?. (Never tried to mix cards NOT SLI but as a second card to power the monitors) Or just use the 1080ti as I am only running in 1080 and not 2k or 4k. Just trying to see if the hit to performance would be bad OR if it would be worth is. Seeing the working MFCD's has me jealous. Thanks for any help, Cptn Knucklehead
  12. Thank you Glyn for this great campaign. I never fly formation as I mainly fly SP. I had so much fun with the first 2 missions so far. Looking forward to the rest. Really fun campaign so far.
  13. If your system tried to update yesterday sometime it will take 24hrs. to reset and check again. You can go to your DCS Bin folder and use the DCS_Updater that usually will kick in the update. OR I have had to use the manual method in the past. You need to search on how to manually update as its not fresh in my head but can be found really quickly. X:/DCS Open Beta/Bin/DCS_Updater. or something similar depending on your install.
  14. You find it on the F10 Map. Or if the mission builder put it in the description you can get it there as long as its a non changing course. You hold your CSEL switch on the top right of the MFCD (Middle Screen) for a few seconds and CSEL appears on the UFC. You then just type in the course you want. Hit reply late LOL. Real life I would assume you just contact the carrier.
  15. Hello, I want to purchase a few modules for a friends bday. On steam I can purchase as a gift for a friend. What is the correct way to get a ED plane direct with out having to send him my CC info or have his login and password info??. I have all the planes for myself so I want to hook up a buddy to fly with since he only has A-10C. I just dont want to buy and then have to open a support ticket if I can not just give him the SN#.   16. I am not sure if this is possible but I was playing around with the FA-18C and had on the 3packs of AGM65D. I could use them no problem EXCEPT the view is 90degree off. So im not looking at the ground. I was not sure if there was any way to change this?. I am still checking things out. And yes they do interfer with each other. Maybe 2 per rail?. Any help would be great.
  17. Here is a quick mission with (2) different laser codes. 1688 and 1670. I believe when you open the mission the scripts are included. They are in the Miz file. I have never uploaded any MIZ's before. There are 2 separate JTACS both lasing 2 BTR's. You can allways open the miz in the editor and see how the script was done. Just made and checked this mission. I did 2 run ins with 2 mavs each time. You start out about 20miles from the TGT. you need to enter the codes for all FOUR AGM's IE: 2 @ 1688 and 2 @ 1670. you might wanna make sure to get the codes set up so you have 2ea of the codes on each wing so when you fire 2 its still symmetrical. Scripts are NOT MINE. they are the Mist Script and the CTLD script. test.miz
  18. Im at work now (lol). but I will make a quick mission with CTLD and 2 different laser codes this evening. I will post it up with no mods so it can be ran with standard 2.5. I use the Beta so you will need to be on that for the MIZ to work.
  19. There is a deck crew MOD. you use it to populate the Stennis with Carts and Crew. The carrier is allready set up to place on static planes and Helos. I usually leave a crewman about where I need to drop the launch bar so I know i'm in the correct place without using F2 view. Check under mods or search for deck crew mod. I would try to link but I have been on a MOD kick for map building so I cannot remember where I got them. It was on this site though.
  20. Use the CTLD script for MIST. You can set Auto lase and put in (2) different JTACS's. I had 2 on a Map with 1688, and 1670. was able to ripple off 2 mavs to 2 different targets on one pass. death star trench run style mission with 2 technicals at the end. I tried to do (4) but could only get 3 laser codes into memory on the LMAV screen also had trouble getting the 3rd mav to lock. (Could of been user issue) when I had 3 different codes. Yes its possible. Be sure to use the hpriority trick on CTLD if you use it so you can lase who you want.
  21. Hello, I just ordered a MGC Pro. I currently have a TMW grip on the gunfighter base. Is there a way to swap out grips without having to remap everything?. IE: I want to use my TMW grip on the A-10 but on a flanker I would like to use a MGC. When I swap grips will I have to remap? or is there a way to have both mapped. so when I swap the grips it will work for the correct aircraft. I have only had the TMW grip so I have never had the luxury of swapping out grips for individual planes. Thanks, Drippy
  22. Thank you so much for your hard work and effort. I have really enjoyed this campaign so far. Crashed on Mission 3 and did not have time to redo yet but it was FUN. Was this made before deferred shading??. I made similar mission in NV but with deferred shading the night flight is alot rougher and kinda changed my intent. Looking forward to finishing the campaign over the next week or so. On a side note if I mod this for RAMP start would it affect the timing of the missions? other than 3?. first 2 had no time requirement. Thanks
  23. On a side note for the unguided cluster munitions. Make sure to set your HOF. under the INV tab in the DSMS. On the 97/105 If you use 700ft or 900ft the munitions do not float to far and it seems to be more accurate because of less drift. With the 85/103 you have 2 settings If i remember its HOF and rotation speed. The 85/103 seems useless to me though as the other cluster does more damage and can take out MBT's Drippy
  24. Sorry to hijack. Is there a easy way to revert from 1.5.8 stable to beta?. CMD prompt or something. I did the full install and now my 1.5 is 100gb but no 2.5 i am wondering if I patched the stable release by accident.
  25. "i don't get an update by running the updater. am i doing it wrong? running 1.5.8 and not nevada though i tried and neither works. is it actually out yet?" Go to your 1.5 install folder. Go to bin folder and start the dcs-updater.exe It will force your game to check for the update.
