I am all for having patience if there is going to be a reward in the future,but I dont think ED will release a new sim until 2015 minimum. Hell we had to beg for a year before they would even entertain the idea of supporting the Oculus Rift. It's been a year and a half since they made the big announcement with the 30 minute video about all the modules for DCS World.Belsimtek are the only ones that have released anything!! Beczl and VEAO will hit the 2 year mark before a release(kept us updated and thank you very much!!),and the rest only God knows when. We dont even have so much as a screenshot from most of these modules almost 2 years later,Razbam etc

Just wanted to pass along some quick info about the shipping times on an Oculus DK1. As you know the shipping process was ridiculously slow when DK1 first came out,most people waited 2-4 months for their kit to arrive.I ordered mine on Friday Dec 27th,it was shipped on Monday Dec 30th and will arrive on Tuesday Jan 7th. I live in Florida and there is a holiday and two weekends between my order date and arrival date,so realistically you are looking at 5 business days max in the U.S. if you order......just saying lol

Peety I dont know how old you are but replacing PC parts,even swapping out your entire pc to a new case is cake nowadays compared to 10-15 years ago. If you built just 1 pc yourself you would never buy a pre-built one again,if you can put a lego set together you can build your own pc and it will cost half as much lol.

Nothing can touch the TM Warthog,buy it.TrackIR is awesome but it will be rendered obsolete in a year or two. I think having the warthog makes the learning process 10 times faster because its plug and play,and at the beginning for me all this DMS up,China hat forward stuff was hard to remember on a stick that didnt have those buttons.

Peety if its a store brought PC you can always buy a new case and then your new video card will fit just fine. As far as the video card is it a GT or GTX,there is a huge difference between the 2.

I have heard that the resolution is low,but I'm not really getting this version to play games,I'm getting it for the experience if that makes sense. As far as release dates lets both pray that I'm wrong :D

The reason I decided to order DK1 yesterday is because they are saying the consumer version wont be out until at least the fall,which really means a couple of weeks before xmas.I also just read somewhere that DK2 will be released a month or two before the consumer version. So realistically DK2 wont be here until October and I'm sure there will be a severe shortage. So in essence its get DK1 now or wait until Dec 2014 for the final version because who is going to buy DK2,then turn around 2 months later and get the consumer rift?

I think you misread the article,Oculus is Virtual reality,this product is more in the realm of Augmented reality i.e. Google glass. And frankly the whole built in heaphones look kind of ridiculous. I dont think Oculus has anything to worry about.

I think this would be a great idea,kinda like facetrack noir but with hands,or maybe reflective gloves.

Are you sure you have DCS A-10C and not A-10A?

Man some of the people on these forums kill me. You have people that say you have to play the game the way they play it,think the way they think,and now you have to buy the game the way they want you to buy it. BTW how many of you work in sales? I can tell very few of you do. I own EVERY single ED module, I have only purchased one at full price, A-10C. I didnt even want the other modules!!! The only reason I purchased them is...........wait for it..........they were on SALE!!!!

I think this is awesome news,I would publicly announce support for rift as soon as possible that way you can get a free ride from their press,even better get a demo ready for them to show at E3,talk about opening the floodgates to new players!!!

Can anyone attend I/ITSEC or is it Active Military and Contractors only? I live about 30 minutes away from Orlando and was thinking of going in December.
