I tried your settings and it was a lot better than before,but still a little bit off,I think the views also have to be distorted/bowed a bit to have the proper viewpoint.

I have used my rift to view DCS videos on youtube and the scale is off,but keep in mind they were done with 3rd party software like vorpx etc. I dont think we will see any significant results until ED adds rift support which they just started working on. From what I understand rift support can be added to a game relatively easy,but it works best if it was built from the ground up with rift support. Very exciting days ahead!!

One of the biggest problems I've seen so far in cockpit demos for the rift is that the sense of scale in the cockpit is way off.You feel like an infant in the seat. I think a side by side video of the rift in DCS is just fine,that way we can watch it in the rift.

Can you post the settings etc that you use,or maybe a quick tutorial on how to set those up,I tried using stereo view and the convergence is off,I also have trackIR.Any hep is greatly appreciated!!

I took my Rift to work the other day and forced about 20 of my employees to jack in,I work with mostly young women. The next day every single one of them came to work and said my boyfriend or husband wants to know where they can get one lol.

I'm not a mod but I think its a great idea :)

You are 100 percent correct,I have already purchased games I had no interest in whatsoever just to use with Dev Kit 1.With just Dev Kit 1 units DCS A-10 could make 500k minimum.Thats at 20 dollars for A-10,and half the DK1 users purchasing it. And they would absolutely purchase it because there isnt much in the way of a full game experience out there right now.

He said new version so I am assuming Dev Kit 2/Crystal Cove I agree,this could be huge for DCS

SteamVR Beta is out for Oculus,I tried it and its actually pretty cool,gives you the ability to use the steam interface in VR,you can also browse the web,youtube etc with it!! http://www.roadtovr.com/steamvr-beta-valve-oculus-rift-steam-dev-days/

I cant support my claim any more than you can support that they have started it lol. The point I'm making as far as ED is concerned is a total lack of info means the product is years away from being completed. Think about it,no established company blindsides you with a new release,you hear about it years beforehand and they pretend it was a leak. You know whats funny when you go to DCS website you see an F-18C,an Apache,an M1 Abrams and a Naval Destroyer....None of which are available from ED in any form.

I was the one that said F-18C was at least two years out,they are backlogged on the stuff they are working on now!! And they even said not to expect any info on the Hornet for at LEAST a year. Not a chance of seeing DCS Hornet this year. I bet we wont see EDGE till June of this year,and DCS F-18C Fall of 2015. I'm just speculating just like the rest of you,In the end NONE of us know!!

I have been playing demos only so far,I did try the Nthsuim with DCS and all it did was look like I was playing DCS on a giant screen,no immersion at all. I didnt try to tweak the software tho. War Thunder was unreal!! Make sure you check out http://www.riftenabled.com!!

I think a DCS level F-18C is at LEAST 2 years out,they havent even started on it yet.

Just got my Rift Dev Kit1 today,and yes it has the screen door effect,yes the graphics are low res BUT.......completely blew me away!!! You are IN THE GAME!!
