I have also tried this a few times, so far unsuccessful. I Take the plane to about 400 knots dive to around 10,000 feet then nose down then nose up hard so i snap a wing off with a few thousand feet to play with, having a heavy payload helps too. Keep in mind that heavy use of rudder gives you roll control, you can actually roll either way. Differential engine input also gives another control input.

Hey Ralfi! Yea, agree. I already have two perfectly good nipples of my own, three is too many. I am getting used to the resetting, I'm just not sure if the throttle is %100 to blame. It seems like when I either use x or y i have no issues, its when i mix the two that i run into problems. When I go into the windows joystick settings and move it around it never stalls in there. The problem must be the games slew input. I'm going to mess around with target and see if I can get DCS to play nice with the slew. i will return with my results...

i thought my title was descriptive enough, sorry its a thrustmaster HOTAS warthog
-
Ok, simple question, i know its been asked, but i havent seen it revisited recently. Why hasn't the slew been fixed yet, based on what ive read, its not the HOTAS stick, its the game when using axis control for slew. Im no programmer, but this seems to be an obvious problem and a simple fix. Im referring to when using the slew stick, it stops working in one axis and requires re-centring the stick to resume slewing. Yeah this should probably go in bugs but i want some more exposure for this issue. Heres a post with the exact problem i am having: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=79719 (posts 1,2 and 6 describe it as not a hardware issue)

Hotas Warthog Joystick Thread size? ...and more
benargee replied to benargee's topic in Thrustmaster
Hmm, ok. Do you know who sells European hose fittings in Canada/US? i only saw the one size at the store. -
Hello, I was reading through the forums on some older threads about stick extensions and they mostly talked about using 5/8 gardena hose fittings between the stick an the base. So i went to the store and bought a male and female 5/8 connector and to my surprise they didnt fit, way too small. My question is, are there different variations of of the warthog with different thread sizes? i bought mine second hand for $275 :) My serial is 02XXX i think, im not at home right now so ill have to edit this post abit and add photos. -----------+- Ultimately id like to make a stick extension, a better gimbal out of a trucks universal joint and addon force feedback system while keeping all original parts unmodified so that it can all be reassembled properly again. So any links or tips for any of those three would be apprciated Thanks P.S. Where do i find the serial number on the joystick? i can only see one on the throttle.

Bullseye woulndt be changed mid mission because you would be broadcasting the new bullseye coordinates that the enemy could intercept. bullseye is not an absolute position, it changes mission to mission. when using bullseye you never say a locations coordinates, only its bearing and distance from the bullseye, if the enemy doesnt know where the bullseye is, they wont know the location you are being referred to.
-
The bullseye can be changed, but only before the mission in the mission editor, the bullseye is a universal reference point that all units use to navigate covertly, changing its location during the mission is impossible and pointless, you can however change the anchor point as shagrat pointed out, bullseye is the default anchor point

try putting your graphics to high, the wing looks low quality

about half an hour of my life, printscreen, microsoft paint and attention to detail :P. well you can see it gets the idea across right? just a mock up, you like?
-
yes so then you have a menu that looks something like this or it would even be cool if they upgrade the airplane graphic to show the changes as you select the options, so it will show the ejector/ rail and the munition in the pic
-
yes coords please couldn't find it in game or on google
-
yes exactly, its not about what is practical its about what is possible, and since the lau-88 is already in game then why not have the option to have a single mav on it, i mean i never will but just knowing that option is there is comforting, this is a sim after all, its supposed to be complicated and technical. while i do disagree with Nealius i do agree with him at the same time, like how there is a game mode, there should be simpler options for people learning the game until they grasp the full scale of it, like game mode applying to more than just in game

ya but the agm-65d can be loaded on the LAU-117 and the LAU-88, so why dont we just call AGM-65Ds "heat seaking mavericks" while we're at it and lets not call it a an A-10C but an A-10, or even simpler "attack plane". this sim isnt meant to be simple, its meant to be learned and same goes for the the launcher rails, i can see for the bombs because they either use no ejector rack or they only use the one TER, but the mavericks use 2 different rails. the difference being the hard points are already ejectors, but not launchers so they need the lau-117 to function

disagree, its so much simpler knowing were your weapons are going to be, for example what side i want my tgp on. showing the pylons lets you familiarize the payload before you enter the mission, as its displayed in your dsms. im here task for more features, not ask for them to be removed. and what do you mean never mentioned for bombs? you can put them on every single pylon except the middle one, and of course by pylon i mean hardpoint just because the airforce has basic weapon payload layouts, doesnt mean the a-10 is CAPABLE of carrying custom ones you're basically wanting to have less control over your payloads! i enjoy this feature and i bet alot of others do to.
-
i also think the payload menus need to be cleaned up with all the options, how about this instead of Pylon> Bombs> [Everything] you make the menu like this Pylon> Bombs> [bomb Type] > [bomb Quantity/ weapon holder] -or- Pylon> Bombs> [weapon holder] > [bomb type / Quantity] same follows for missles and rockets, as the other classes dont have enough to justify for rockets especially, the menu is huge

Hey so i was just looking on Google maps in Georgia and noticed how accurately the airfields are compared to in game, it even looks like some have been re-purposed, battle damaged or upgraded, i have made a complete marked list of all available in game airfields. i hope you'll find this as interesting as i found it! DCS World IRL Georgian Theater Airstrips Icons are as follows according to DCS World Green markers: Military Aerodrome Blue markers: Civil Aerodrome (Military Joint User) Blue Airplane: Civil Aerodrome Red Warning: Airfield closed Satellite View recommended Enjoy! feel free to offer any corrections

well thats just the reality of laser guided vs optical guided missiles, one is not better than the other all the time they have their pros and cons, mavs are fire and forget, vikhrs are fast to shoot after target lased.

well i will say right away i own neither product, but i can say that's complete BS, saying trackir 5 is 32 bit only, and even if it was alot of 32 bit programs run on a 64 bit operating system like windows 7. its possible he said trackir is a 32 bit program but most programs are still 32 bit. simplified: windows 7 64 bit can run : 32 bit (%90 of the time) and 64 bit programs. windows 7 32 bit can run : only 32 bit programs. TrackIR5 is the most recent trackir so they would make it in their best interest to keep up with current operating systems. a poll was made recently on ED forums about what operating system users have, 64 bit or 32. 64 was the majority so i believe the majority of track ir users fit into that majority, the 64 bit user. hope that helps until a 100% from a 64 bit trackir user shows up.

Adding new weapons to DSMS inventory page.
benargee replied to macieksoft's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
believe me, this forum is not the place to be asking that question, i made that video you commented on, i would know. I dont even see the point of adding the LAU-61 when you get 21 rockets from the triple LAU-68 -
yes i know that, im referring to the bombs the game doesnt let us carry on station 6 such as GPB, LGB, CBU.
-
and now i know why we are in the depression, viper think of the citizens! and why do you have to jettison AFTER take off :D but seriously your method works but shouldn't be necessary

well as an existing weapon and an existing rack hint hint, to a ED tester who may know a few people hint hint. maybe some strings could get pulled for a pretty simple update hint hint :smilewink::smilewink: and also, why can we only use a fuel tank on the center hard point, when DSMS INV says otherwise
