  1. If you restart Steam, this should transfer the telemetry path to Steam -> DCS -> Tacview Module and fix the issue. (I ran into this limitation because of Lua / Windows). If you open a dcs.log file (in Saved Games/DCS/Logs/dcs.log), you should see the full path where the acmi files are created. This will help to diagnose the problem. It is also possible that a third party lua addon has corrupted your export.lua file and prevents Tacview data recorder from running properly. In that case, you may want to delete your export.lua and reinstall Tacview (no need to uninstall first).
  2. For performance reason, telemetry data is not automatically transferred by to host to the clients. So, everybody attending to the online debriefing must load his/her recording of the flight. Let me know if this help. (I am planning to automatically transfer the data in Tacview 2.0)
  3. Definitely! This will be a feature very similar to the actual sam/aaa thread domes. But for a later update because I do not have yet the weapons carried by aircraft in DCS World.
  4. @stuartaston Your most recent dcs.log shows an error in VAICOMPRO addon which prevent export.lua from being executed completely. This prevents Tacview exporter from running. Maybe the author of VIACOMPRO can help you about that.
  5. @arparso I can record your track when playing it back. Even the real-time telemetry is working fine. Make sure that “Create one file for each network client” is DISABLED. This option is for dedicated servers. It will not record the local flight. Instead it will record separately each flights of the connected clients.
  6. This information is not currently available. But this is something I definitively want to do when I will upgrade the exporter.
  7. It looks like the exporter was still in activity. I will need the corresponding dcs.log file to know more. If there is a next time, save the dcs.log file right after you notice the problem.
  8. By “include any data”, do you mean empty (0 byte) files? Did you move the Tacview documents folder on your hard drive from one place to another? Did you use the option in Tacview to specify where is the new location? Did you relaunch Steam & DCS World after specifying the new location? (required so DCS scripts gets the new settings)
  9. Thanks for the heads up! I believe something has changed again in DCS World events. I will have a look at that as soon as possible.
  10. Yes. I will add the F/A-18C fuel in the next release (if available the data is available to the exporter)
  11. Hi Ski, I didn’t change the way DCS World scripts are handled in a relatively long time. From what you are describing, it looks like that virtual cockpit server is responsible for the disappearance of Tacview export line. I suggest you contact virtual cockpit server developer to see if he/she has a fix in store. Let me know if you need more details about the way Tacview handle export.lua. That said, aside from adding one single line of code, Tacview does not do much on that matter...
  12. Absolutely! Shortcuts will be added in the next release. Playback and speed will be fully controllable using the keyboard only.
  13. I don’t think anybody has produced a dedicated terrain addon for the Persian Gulf yet. Have you tried Mapview? https://www.tacview.net/download/addons/ In just a few clicks, this wonderful program should be able to import the map of your choice in Tacview. For example, OpenStreet maps with adaptive blend should give a nice overlay.

  16. Tacview 1.7.5 is available Download: HERE Release Date: Wed, 19 Dec 201 Operating System: Windows® 32-bit / 64-bit File Size: 268.0 MB This intermediate release brings a lot of improvements and fixes. The object database has been extended to better support your favorite flight simulator. The telemetry exporter has been rewritten from scratch. Available in Tacview Advanced and Enterprise, it replaces the tool which was previously accessible from the charts. With the new exporter you can now save any telemetry variable (recorded or calculated) from any object in a single csv file. No need any more to export one by one each object variable in a separate file. It is now easier than ever to compile and analyze the telemetry data of your choice in your favorite spreadsheet. I am now focusing more and more my efforts on Tacview 2: The goal is to offer you a brand-new platform with improved performances, fidelity, ergonomics, portability, all in a fully customizable package! Best wishes to you all! Vyrtuoz Release notes FEATURES & CHANGES Added brand new telemetry export tool to export any possible data Added BMS Pillars of Hercules theater map Integrated Aegean 2.2 for BMS Static objects declared in DTC files are now displayed only when Falcon 4 terrain is visible Added support for waypoints in the telemetry Added option to display current Track (TRK) in object labels Added a new camera mode which looks forward of the primary object Added WWI aircraft for IL-2 Added an option to always display position coordinates in the 3D view FIXES Labels color should be inverted for weapons (old regression) Improved support of corrupted uncompressed acmi files (typically after a DCS World crash) Opening a VHS file by double-click or drag & drop was not working on a fresh install Numerous fixes in improvement to the SDK The label between selected objects was sometime displayed in a random position

  18. Interesting indeed! No, there is no way to do that currently. I will keep that in mind for Tacview 2.0 ;)
  19. It is not currently possible to fliter the objects displayed on screen. That said, with the coming beta 6, you should be able to write a little lua script to delete the unwanted objects by type. Can you share some screenshots which show the problem you would like to solve? Maybe there are other ways to do it and something I can improve in the way objects are displayed to reduce clutter for example.
  20. My apologies for the delay. It is possible that Fastspring suffer from technical problems. There is only one distribution of Tacview, so you can simply download the latest official installer from: https://tacview.net/download Feel free to pick one of the offered mirrors, I am pretty confident that you will find one which works fine for you.
  21. There is a very rare case when the UI settings get corrupted. Can you try to delete the following registry entry? This reset may fix your issue. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Raia Software\
  22. When did this problem start? The most common issues are from obsolete Intel Graphic Drivers, or sometimes, 3D tweaks programs trying to display some kind of HUD in Tacview 3D view. If your PC main GPU is an Intel one (typically on laptops), please install the latest version of the drivers from the official website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics-Drivers Let me know if this helps.
  23. An improved and comprehensive documentation and video tutorials are coming… but this will be for 2019. There is no tutorial currently available for the online debriefing. The most common issue is a firewall/router blocking default Tacview TCP port 42673. Make sure this port is open and properly redirected on the host side of the connection. Also, because no acmi data is transmitted of the connection, just make sure that both of you have loaded a flight recording of the same mission. It does not need to be the exact same file. Let me know if this helps. If not, please share screenshots of the error message you can get on either side of the connection.
  24. Jacques has published a new version of MapView 1.4.3. which fix the bug with The Southern Hemisphere: https://www.tacview.net/download/addons/
  25. Since what you see in Tacview is what is exported by DCS API, it looks like a DCS World bug. Nevertheless, please, I would appreciate a track file (I do not master the mission editor, and this will save me a lot of time). I will give it a try.
