Anyone experience the issue of a very zoomed in visual within the WMR dashboard and subsequently migrating to the DCS menu screen? This appears to be a Steam VR issue. SOLVED: Apparently other older software downloaded though Steam, overwrote some critical Microsoft Net files thereby rendering the VR view in a zoom view. Updated Windows 10 and once again, life was good.

Just got my Reverb and I'm very happy with it. I'll be selling my 5K+ .. any interested parties ? Bueller, Bueller, anyone ? The first time I flew with it all was well; now for some reason the Z axis … seems not to be working ( in / out ) - all moves together. Odd …

This is a good point. Realistic simulations require interactivity between a lot of moving parts.

Defecting from Pimax So after careful review of the facts, I’m jumping from Pimax 5K+ to the Reverb Pro. I cancelled my 8KX preorder as well. I feel liberated. I think I swallowed the wide FOV hype - hook, line and sinker and regret the purchase. Maybe it’s just me. I’ll go back ( used to have an Oculus CV1) to a 114 degree FOV for a better overall experience.

Correct. I apparently converted to OB and now trying to get back to the main build. I’d like to have the option of having both available to try as needed.

I'm definitely going to try this now. I have to figure out how to run the main DCS program vs the OB which my desktop shortcut points to. I will certainly try this. I'll have to retrace my steps in those two videos and make sure I'm getting the shaders actually activated through JGSME. thanks ! Follow up Questions: 1. Do you all recommend PiTool SS on ? 2. So I know that DCS resides in … Program Files / Eagle Dynamics / DCS World / bin which is the main build and that the OB resides in Saved Games... Question: Can I run the main build alone once Ive updated to the OB? :music_whistling: Seems as if my Desktop Icon always pulls up 2.5.6 OB instead …. Trying to get back to the solid build version for now for my VR FPS' sake !

I’m only getting anywhere from 13-25ish FPS with my 5k+ Besides the shader Mod, is there a list of settings Somewhere that I should be going through to get better performance ? I don’t see a Sticky specific to 5k+. Thanks

VR only for me. I have to feel the realism factor to fly DCS. BMS was enjoyable until I saw flight in VR then it was like a cat that saw the laser light for the first time …

Those look amazing. Can you elaborate on what you mean by a seat belt mod ? Also, how do you use Haptic feedback with this rig ? I’m in the market for a VR seat with HOTAS support architecture. I'm not Impressed with YawVR as it seems as if the sensory inputs in order to induce G loading is to introduce lateral motion instead of G force into the seat. I ran into this product from Geko Systems which seems good but doesn’t come with Hotas support. Any reviews or recommendations from the community ? Thanks ! Shack

Yes I did. I'm afraid my issue was a deeper one than I thought and it required a reset of my hardrive. Even the Alienware tech, with all his powers, couldn't assist from New Delhi and finally throwing his hands up in exasperation saying "I'm so sorry sir but I cant help you" .. :megalol: Now that I'm back flying again, Im getting ok FPS ranging from 20 on a busy ramp ( such as Nellis' Aggressor Campaign ) to over 40 inflight. Not sure why I cant get more FPS as my 11GB GPU is only taxed at 50% and CPU at 10% or less according to vrFPS. I have VRSS set at 100% and reduced the resolution to closely match my 5k+ at 2500x1440ish. Not sure what else I can do as it seems my hardware is not at fault, but perhaps DCS? That's just my uneducated guess :music_whistling: Does anyone know how to take advantage of multiple cores in a CPU like mine? Maybe my hardware isn’t fully optimized. Having said that it amazes me how stunningly gorgeous the sim is. I just flew an introductory Aggressor flight to the MOA at dusk and the shadows off the mountains to the glow of the setting sun on my wingman is just amazing.

Hans - here are my HW Specs. I havent been able to rollback from the 2.5.6 yet, but will report back when I do.
