  4. Happy (late) Birthday! Gesendet von meinem HTC One A9 mit Tapatalk
  5. FYI : You not only just "adjust" the Objects-LOD by changing this very values : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3157344&postcount=29
  6. Okey so ... its not fixed at all ... but it seems that it got "somewhat" better!? :-) I've to admit ... since i was on the VA server, i did not have any sort of "engagement". Just flying. But again, even simple flight input was always messed up on my replays. Lets hope it will be fixed some day completly ,once and for all. :-)
  8. Can you elaborate a little bit more ... was it a fresh install of DCS 2? Have you something tied in something in the export.lua? (Simpit ... tacview ... DCS-SimpleRadio) ...
  9. Well the NTTR map (and normandy) are rectangular in their representation in the ME. In DCS World 2 in the rendered envoirenment, i think it is not "rectangular". They stated that they have implemented the "clipmapping" algorithm. The original paper work with an regular grid. And therefore its good for planar representations. (Working in Euclidean space) Of course i do some "blackbox" speculation now here ... but ... If you watch in a free floating camera ... in 2.1 normandy .... looking straight down to the terrain (Perpendicular to the terrain ...) and moves from it away. At some point you notice how a circular region becomes smaller and is blending in to the rest of the terrain. That looks like the spherical extension of clipmapping (Spherical Clipmaps) wich is used if you try to represent a spherical bodys terrain. (Non-Euclidean Space ... ) Conclusion, DCS World 2 is indeed "round" ... ;-) http://www.malteclasen.de/zib/download/SphericalClipmaps_Electronic.pdf
  10. Since this was posted here (in 1.5 sub-thread) i report the re-introduction of this bug here ... 'world.searchObjects' doesnt work for Object.Category.SCENERY. This bug got back into 2.0.5 but i wanted to wait for the 2.1 release. Unfortunately it's still there. I've added a little script for coordinates in normandy. (The result with correct nevada coordinates is in nevada the same.) No SCENERY-Objects get returned at all. In 1.5.x caucasus this still works correctly. (Of course the coordinates has to be correct for the box/sphere ... ) Regards, der Wolf
  11. Spitfire ebenso.
  12. Maybe ... but in the last (i dont know ... years) every track, realy every single one go wrong if i tried to play it back. (While my very own tracks would replay perfectly on a colleagues PC). And those track failed to replay correctly in the very first seconds. One example, my spits doesnt even taxi correct in replay. To replay succesfully a track for a flight period of somewhat more than an hour ... completly correct ... with slot changements and everything ... THAT would be really "massive luck"! ;-) ... you get the gist ... ^^ Okey ... one minor "misstake" was there in the track-replay. The Mi-8 "forgot" the "LSHIFT-W" (wheel hand brake). But thats it. Im on your side, such things should be "tested" thoroughly. Nevertheless, i was so excited after that successful replay..... ;-) EDIT : Forgot to mention ... i freshly installed DCS2 at wednesday. Such 3rd-Party things which hook into dcs like Tacview are not installed at the moment.
  13. I made today a flight with the Mi-8 and the MiG-21 on the Nevada VA-Server in 2.1 . And for the first time since a very very very long time ... The replay of this very .trk worked perfectly! I could watch it in F2 view. I could speed things up and go back to normal. And both aircrafts followed the exact flight. (And didnt end up completly elsewhere ... ) Even my cat says : Purrrrrfect! Thanks ED! :-D P.S. And i realy dont mind that deferred shading plus PBR needs tweaks ... at some places, if the sun is right, i ended up like this : ;-)
  14. Thats absolutely right, but ... The "basic setting" is : you choose at the beginning between western/eastern and that decision would be final. So your decision "stucks" you at one side of "technological side". ... In my idea red and blue would be assigned in sense of who is attacker or defender of an area of the map. So you would already switch the "color" of the coalitions in that campaign. ... Tanks for the input nevertheless. :-)
  15. I was editing my previous post while yours were in transit ... maybe my "edit" makes my poll somewhat more clear?! :)
  16. Okey ... there are two possibilities ... (maybe more but ... ) My english is realy that bad ... and i expressed my self to badly ... ... or ... You realy didnt read my Post at all! :-) Im totaly aware of the point, that you can assign countrys in every mission you make in the ME between the red and blue coalition. My questions was ... if (regardless of blue or red) one coalition would only carry eastern (1st to 4th gen) planes, and the other coalition would only carry western (1st to 4th gen) planes ... how would YOU assign the remaining 4 WW2 planes?! That is my question and poll! ;-) Edit : Okey ... maybe it becomes more "real" if i give some more information to the question. Lets assume we make a campaign. And while you progress in that campaign you may progress in technology. And at the beginning of the campaign, you have to choose if youre either red or blue. That there will be another country code for "nazi germany" doesnt mean that we get another coalition. I didnt heard anything about that. So we're still "stuck" with two coalitions. So : if you fly on one side ... there will be only ww2 planes at first. Later there will some 1st gen fighters but still the WW2 planes from youre side ... and so on and so on. And every plane shall only be on one side or the other one. Thats the basic situation or the basic idea. So far so good? :-)
  17. Hello everybody, this Poll is about the Following: Let's say we have two coalitions. A "western" one and a "eastern" one. (Like we already have in the standard config in dcs more or less.) So all western planes/helicopters are in the western coalition. And, well, all russian planes/helicopters are in the eastern coalition. And both coalitions could "transit" from one time period to another one. So on western side planes there would be first the F-86F followed by the F-5 followed by F-15 for example. How would you assign the current 4 WW2 planes? On one hand the two axis planes were "western planes". And America as well as England have fought together with Russia (the "eastern coalition"). On the other hand P51D and Spitfire are of course "western planes" too. What would be the best "compromise" without changing the setting (two coalitions:western and eastern) and without excluding the four WW2 planes?!
(Also auch was GPU/CPU/RAM/VRAM/I,O/etc. so treibt im speziellen Falle jenes prozesses ... ) ...
  19. Okey ... i just found that Thread where you sayed the same thing ... "global flags" ... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3093903&highlight=Global+Flags#post3093903 aaaaand ... learned about this "third lua environment" explained in "DCS_ControlAPI.txt" ... another one i might hook up into my dll ... aaaaand ... with "net.dostring_in" i think i've got now everything i was in need. ^^ :joystick: Thank You!!! (Nevertheless ... pointing out what was meant with 'global flags' might be interesting for others in need of help. :-) ) [And sorry for my english ... i know ... it has become very very very rusty ... :-( ]
  20. Thanks for the quick answer Pikey! Can you elaborate this a bit?! Setting _G{lobal} variables on one side doesnt show up on the other side so ... What do you mean by Global Flags? Thanks in advance.
  21. Greetings , well ... my question is exatctly what the Title says. Is there a way in which i can relay information between these two Environments?! As far as i see it, those two portions of DCS-Lua is completly isolated. (And thats what i fear ... ) Thanks for any hint ... Regards, Wolf
  22. First i thought it was a very good tango on Cold War Server ... I reconsidered as that tango followed me after i bailed out ... Installed newest graphic driver ... now "he" is gone!
:pilotfly:
  24. world.searchObjects() I've searched the forum for this kind of bug. Since in this thread "world.searchObjects()" is called "fixed" at some point i'll post the error i found here ... world.searchObjects() is always returning a nil object as first entry. (So always one Object will be missing ... only exception is if none objects were found ... ) I found this error first some patches ago in the 2.x version. Now it'S in 1.5.x too. I attach a little script to show this behaviour. It works with any kind of "Object.Category". Well ... in case of "UNIT" you have to place some units in the mission first .. ^^ In my script Beslan is missing. Regards, WW Edit : Well ... that one was from the beginning an error on my side ... wow ... i still have the tendency to start counting at 0! :D
  25. Sorry for "bumping" this thread but ... since the first point is now possible , you CAN order now patton tanks as commander in the acutal dcs version ... but the second point ist not possible ... I wanted to ask for an "update" on this matter. Is it sill planned , that the M-60 Patton will be once driveable in CA? Thanks in advance. :-)
