  1. Oh wow that's awesome guys! Sweet. I guess I'll have to register @ your forums to get in on this awesome raffle!! Btw - first I heard of these. They look fricken amazing(quality & design). I thought "best" on market was the saitek combat pedals, which I ended up getting. Do thee use diff sensors/are noticeably better? They're out of stock on their website, how much do they run?
  2. Well I pledged my $40. I'm honestly confused about things at this point, but I still have faith. The quote from Gavagai has thrown me. Maybe if there will be a P-51 & FW190 released with WWII, different from the DCS modules. Here is a quote from Luthier1, on page 106 in the kickstarter thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1863250&postcount=1053 So, seems to be some conflict about DCS modules atleast. Regardless, I pledged. Honestly, the 3 free would be good for me but I'd be ****in ecstatic if they release the P-38 as well! Anywho, while that post seems to clearly lay it all out, it conflicts with what's on kickstarter. Some black & white clarification would be appreciated. I'm feeling fairly derpy right now.
  3. I was totally hopping on the bandwagon to pay $40 for the P-47 & Spit IX! In my head that makes the 2 planes $20/each and the 109 for free! Hell of a deal! I also assumed the only free content was to be the map. Luther's explanation of what $20 /$40 gets you is entirely different from what I understood after reading the kickstarter page. I will still donate my $40, tho I already own the P-51 & had no intentions of buying the 190. I do feel like I'm getting "less" for my $40 tho. After finding the 3 planes are free, I am curious to how "HD" they will be? I haven't experienced FC3, so I'm not knocking it, just that I know A-10 & P-51 are higher quality in design as well as in procedure. Are they going to have the same detail & interaction as stand alone modules or will the be held to a similar standard of FC3? I don't expect the highest quality out of free products and I won't hold it against anybody if they are simplified. If the planes are simplified, are/will there be any plans to release an HD version? (Similar to the SU-25 & A-10A modules). If yes, then perhaps those who have pledged the $40 or more can get the HD version of those planes when released, while those who have not will have the opportunity to purchase the individual models.
  4. Oh, and this totally makes sense. Modules can be flown in the WWII, but not "included". Either way I'm gettin excited! Oh, while I'm posting - when I pledge does it immediately charge my account or is it a pledge, paid once the Kickstarter hits their goal? (I ask because I know when a kickstarter fails your not out of your $$. I just prefer to have the money gone when I spend it, not charged a month later)
  5. Glad you guys asked. Hopefully we can get a clear answer cause I'm confused too. I plan on gettin the $40 or $50 package. I'm excited about the P-47. I already own the Mustang module, so whether its part of the package or not isnt a big deal, but I was under the impression that the package deal included the P-51 & FW190.
  6. I have not, but how high is the scroll rate setting in windows (or mouse-driver app such as Logitech software)? If you altered it for higher scroll rate that would directly transition into DCS. Hope this helps.
  7. +1 on the combat pedals. Got mine in anticipation of ordering my HOTAS Warthog, couldn't be happier. You already sold a kidney for your stick... Know what else you only need one of? We can call you Half Sack! Hey! Lance Armstrungout....errr...Armstrong seems to be doin just fine!
  8. Since you mention you can Not have the testing a partition, how about installing w a second HDD? Otherwise I think your going to be stuck deactivating as cichldfan suggested.
  9. Welcome! I'm new as well... So I played thru the start up sequence. When it was done I thought "how hard can it be to take off?" So, not following procedure, I pull out on the runway. Set brakes (so feet OFF my combat pedals, to my surprise), throttle up, watching the nose dip. Then release brakes! So I actually made it up in the air. A couple minutes later, I successfully landed! I came in hot and managed to stop at the end of the runway - power sliding to a stop! Lol. Was surprised I pulled it off, reading about it made it sound so much harder! I'm sure following procedure is an Entirely diff story. Anyways, that's where I've done my free flight lol. Btw I like your PC build! I got the same setup lol except h100 cooler & MSI mPower mobo :D
  10. As a sim noob (closest consideration going to Arma 3 Alpha, or War Thunder) I thank you for sharing and many thanks to the guy who shared his knowledge! Clear and concise tutorial! At the time I watched I had yet to get my copy of AC10, or have ordered my HOTAS Warthog - and yet I was able to pick it up and understand right away what he was talking about. I even got the "oh no you didn't just ask him that again..." feeling once or twice lol. My hog showed up on the 24th and I snatched up a couple DCS sims with the summer sale. Ill put this knowledge to good use..... Once I figure out the start up procedure lol. I'm going to try to sit in on the next class, Friday. Guess I better get caught up!! Thanks again!
  11. Excellent! I was just about to place n order for the HOTAS Warthog w amazon, it suggested getting A-10C, with the purchase. I popped over to check the DL price and saw all is on sale! Ill be DLing (and eventually learning) A-10C, Black Shark & the P-51. Super excited!
  12. Just thought of a solution. It's terrible & hokey, but may work. Rather than setting a button press, set a macro. The macro should read something like (and forgive if this isn't accurate, haven't programmed macros in Saiteks program, but have with other gaming hardware) Ex: Throttle Button B. Desired keyboard button is B, as well - for Air Brakes. R-click the button area, click "program macro", then with the cursor in the proper box, tap "b" on the keyboard. Not too fast, but don't hold it down either. Then click ok. Now the "b" button n the throttle will mimic that button press every time. You can also edit the time. ____________ (down) .250ms. <- how long the delay is between key press/release. .250 = 1/4second (up) _____________ So you can tailor the key depress time however you see fit. 1/4 sec may be too long. Anyways. I don't like this as a "fix", but its better than having a barely functioning stick. Hopefully somebody can point us in the right direction here? I could have sworn I saw a key repeat-speed option somewhere. Maybe it's under the "control" program.... Ill check tomorrow.
  13. I may be having this same problem. If what your talking about is: You hit the button, it rapidly presses the programmed button, as if your holding the actual key on the keyboard down, but with no delay. I am having this exact same issue. Too many inputs, the game is either not registering or it's not having a chance to react. I can't seem to find a solution yet. However - if you mean you press AND release the button, but it continues to repeat the programmed key press, until you otherwise interrupt it - well there is a solution. R-click that button in the programmer & UNCHECK the "latched" key. Having "latched" checked makes the joystick button act same as the caps/num lock keys. Basically, toggle on/off. So back to the first suggestion. Only way I found to "fix" this was to un-program the button, then use the "joybutton#" as your binding. So tailoring your games control options to he stick, rather than the stick to the game. Had to do this to have a Reliable PTT button for my teamspeak, as well as Fire button in WarThunder (profile I downloaded bound trigg to [enter] and that was the "fire" button).
