I am a bit concerned about active pause. I explain myself: There are many moments that you want to look or interact with various switches/systems but you cannot take your eyes from the flight conditions. If you pause the game the switches, dials, etc are not functioning so I agree that we needed a pause mode that will allow us to 'pause' the flight but not the rest of the sim. Point is that with active pause you only pause your flight and not the action happening around you! That has many conciquences! For example: I was at close proximity of a target and engaging him with rockets and I wanted to change to machine guns. I couldn't take my eyes ahaid of me beacuse I close to the ground etc. So I hit the active pause, but the target continued firring at me! And now I was a better target for him because I was steady in the air! Or when you fly a formation and you active pause the rest of the formation continues! My point is, can't the active pause be made in such a way that the action around you pauses as well? I beleive that you will agree with me

Could you post a pic when available?

I would like to ask all the friends here if there is a thread (or a way) how to display some info, let's say autopilot status or weapon status or the kneeboard on a second monitor. Not the whole image (not multi monitor setup), just these.

Why not a UH-1N, or an Agusta Bell 212 ASW? They are all variants of huey! And Introduce a new dimension of war, ASW
-
What's different in UH-1B? Wiki states 'Upgraded HU-1A, various external and rotor improvements', but what exactly?
-
I haven't played any other module, maybe that's way it's weird to me, but anyway! Thanks again!
-
Where did that came from? Well f**k yeah it worked! Why does the '\' not work? I mean this is listed in the comms keys. Not 'Ralt+\' But thanks! It works!

Has anyone used Single Player comms in v1.2.7? I believe they are serious buggy... I start hot on the parking and the only available phrase I can tell to the ATC is request start up... I am already hot. Apart from the fact that I can never speak to him...
-
Guys whatever I do seems not to be working... I cannot talk to anyone and I do not know why... I have made a test mission to test my comms but nothing works. In the mission below the tower is frequency VHF 131.00 and my wingman UHF 250.00. I start with the heli hot so the only thing I have to do is put the correct frequency, select the appropriate position to talk (PVT,1,2,3) and press the '\' to bring the comms menu, right? I put at the VHF 131.00 volume max call the tower but I never hear a responce. Same for my wingman. Also I noticed that the '\' only works on the ground. When airborne pressing'\' does not bring the coms menu. Can you help me? Thanks test.miz

Really? Where could I have seen the frequency? Should he do something when he was shot at anyway? Sad...

Finaly that's what I did. The 2 gunners and my copilot cleared the area, but the problem is more serious than how to find a way to complete the mission. We are at v 1.2.7 and the AI is so bad? why?
-
And how do i recognice the aa's from far away? I mean if i fly close enough for me to see them they will shoot me! And how do i tell the al gunners to deal with them first? Is there such command? Thanks

Ok, so I tried today the Single mission Rebel base (v 1.2.7). Here is what I noticed. Although we are 4 choppers (2uh-1, 2Mi-24) and we all arrive at the rebel base, only my crew engeges the rebels. All other 3 choppers make circles over the base but never engage. Even when shot at, they do nothing. The two Mi-24's every now and then broadcast that they are engaging enemy armour but they do nothing. I can not take down the whole base by myself and eventually get shot... Any ideas?

Thanks Timekilla!

I would agree for the first one! Aiming with trackir is just a joke

Can you post the Trackir profile again? The one without the deadzones. The link is broken. Thanks

Any official thought\answer about this subject?

If you just think for a minute this simple thing (engine fire) that is not implemented what affects you will see how much it affects realism. Right now you do not have weight limits, you do not have realistick height performance limits, you do not have environmental (ambient temp) limits, you do not have max speed limits, you do not have maneuver limits, you do not have out of ground efect hover limits and much more. Because all these require torque, wich right now it,s wrongly available to us. Without it (as in reality) all these flight phases i just mentioned would call for lealistic handling and many off them would be impossible. For example fully loaded, 45 degrees air temp and hover o.g.e.
-
At sea level even with 0 degrees outside temp, and the heli fully loaded at hover you get 550 degrees and for lift off you reach 600-610 degrees easily. if you try to do the same in 15 degrees in reality if you do not pay close atention (not to overtemp) and really strive hard to lift off (skills required) you won't make it. Right now in the game you can easily set 45 degrees outside temp, fully load the heli and just aply full torque and there you go... not to talk taking off from an airfield with altitude couple of thousant feet that you have to pull even more torque... Total realism loss as for power management, that's what I try to say... Forgive me for being pain in the **s

Dear DEVS, no need to say how much happy I am and regognition I give in your efort developing the uh-1. But please fix the inconsistency of engine EGT. It's not real that I can have stady 700 and more EGT and nothing happen to my engine. How can we get into the uh-1 pilots spirits when they were flying fully loaded and they could not pull as much torque as they would want because the first parameter that reached it's max limmits is the EGT? It's the first (90% cases) parameter that reaches it's max limits when flying a RL heli in extreme (as far power is concerned) conditions. The second that you will notice is the loss or RPM (if you don't catch fire and continue pulling torque). It's like flying a super heli... Personaly (used from RL) I check the EGT every 5-10 sec (plus every time i make torque changes) and then I always say to myself, don't bother, it will never catch fire, you can pull as much torque as you like! It's sad to fly the best heli sim ever and the no1 performance limit factor not be implemented yet... Thanks for reading

I followed the instructions of the link and it rocks! Now it feels like the real heli!

I have the saitek pro flight rudder pedals

Maybe the removal of the spring is the best thing to do. Do we have any link of anyone that has done it?
