  1. What? That has nothing to do with what the OP is asking and showing as default in the cockpit of the Mig29.
  2. 1.5 is nice and all, but nothing is looking realistic. It looks a lot better than it did before.
  3. No, another poster answered your question a little better. When they are further away, there is a "sprite" around/over the aircraft so you can see where they are.
  4. I'd think you probably aren't a great example being that you're playing DCS on a laptop. That isn't the greatest platform to be on to fly a complicated simulator.
  5. First of all, Beta should and does install separately when you download it from DCS. There's no real way for it to start going over standard DCS world. Secondly, it doesn't matter if you have 1.2.16 installed or not, because beta is a separate install.
  6. Its because the 109 climbs about 1500 fpm to fast and IIRC the damage model is a off. I'm sure you've noticed how many rounds it takes to kill, even if you hit the radiator, it never runs out of water. There is a fix coming, but until then, expect over performance from the 109.
  7. I was trying to put up a multiplayer mission for my group, using older missions from before the update. They work fine in single player but when I go into multiplayer to select a mission to host, I can't see any. I noticed that the file type that the game was looking for was lst instead of miz. Is that something new with 1.5?
  8. That is a normal procedure fir a radial engine. I've never seen or heard of that with an inline fuel injected engine. That is interesting but I wonder if it's correct.
  9. I haven't noticed this haze or fog thing you guys are talking about. What I can see is that IRL almost everyday I fly there is a haze/fog thing going on. I don't mean weather, its just not really clear as you usually see on computer games/sims. So, I kind of like it.
  10. Yeah, that's not what I was talking about and I haven't flown my 86 yet. As far as the other stuff I mentioned, it's something we noticed and is different.
  11. Myself and some others in my group noticed it, more on some aircraft than others. Sometimes it's more "gloss", sometimes its more grease/dirt between panels. Either way, something is different, but it looks good.
  12. I'd be happy if that were true, but I don't believe that was part of 1.5 and I don't think the mods care for trolling around here. I'll gladly eat crow if you are actually telling the truth.
  13. It was stated many many times in the last few days that there were no plans to change dcs to be able to adjust controls in MP.
  14. I am having a login problem but it's saying no internet connection and I certainly have one, I'm here.
  15. I fixed it. I had to go into the Options.lua to make the adjustments
  16. Yes, I already did that. The screen is "fixed" and everything is in view, but to click on something like a drop down box, I have to do it about 1/2 inch below what I want to click on. I can do that with everything except cancel and OK at the bottom. There seems to be JUST barely not enough room to go below those and click.
  17. I didn't realize we had someone that would actually check. lol Thanks though, I'll check and be back to report.
  18. So now that it was moved will anyone see this for 3 days? lol BTW, I already had DCS World Open Beta installed. After I updated to 1.5 it changed my aspect ratio from 16:9 to 16:10 and now I can click ok in option to change it because its too far down, off the screen. It also could be something new in 1.5, I don't know. Either way, that's why I put it in the 1.5 discussion. Also, my resolution should be 1920x1080 but it changed to 1920x1200, can't change that either without seeing the OK button at the bottom.
  19. I can get into option, but the my aspect ratio is in 16:10 and needs to be 16:9. I can change the option but can't hit OK at the bottom because it's not there. I'm assuming it's off the screen because my aspect ratio is stuck in 16:10. Is there a lua file I can go to, to make the adjustment?
  20. So now this thread is open again since someone else started a thread about what we were talking about here originally, now its a big mess and spread out everywhere. Nice. lmao
  21. ? You need to have DCS World Open Beta downloaded and 1.5 should download from there.
  22. Modules should work IIRC
  23. You need to navigate to the bin, hold shift and right click on the bin folder, select "open command window here" then paste or type "DCS_updater.exe update openbeta" then hit enter.
  24. Is anyone else getting kicked of the updater with a source error every 500-800 mb of download? I start it again and it picks up where it left off, just annoying on top of the slow DL. Happy to just finally have it, just wondering.
