  1. A formal request had been sent to ED moderators to stop your trolling on this thread. All I csn say is go bother someone else because you, personslly, are not wanted nor appreciated here.
  2. Some commands were either changed, deleted or added since then. Usually the commands changed are not reported in the change logs and are only evident when you deal with them on a regular basis. That is why ED themselves advise to not copy paste ready assignments files between updates but to assign from the beginning. Now, I think I have answered your questions to the best of my ability in this thread over and over again. You are more then welcome to start a new thread and discuss whatever interests you...
  3. This is my last request. Please do not use the current profiles in the package as it doesn't fit current DCS version settings. Technical advices regarding how to use the profiles in the current 2.5 version are against my explicit request. I would hate to take the package off the site but I shall if left with no other choice. I do promise that I shall update it to current version since it still draws a lot of attention. In the meantime please use nothing but the graphical layouts.
  4. Forget about it and don't let it bother you. The important thing is ED does not advise to use past controller settings from the saved menu folder in updates, especially not a few years old ones. Here we are talking about a different version, some commands are updated or changed and it might cause you problems than help you. Read the graphical settings' layouts and use them on your own through the UI. The package is no more than a helping hand for new guys and not a substitute. Goog flights !
  5. It seems like one might have an ego issue. This thread is about helping others and not taking care of you. If you can not contribute but criticize then do excuse yourself... On your way out do delete your latest post as you did your previous one.
  6. The given instructions do work and are correct, as tested by thousands. Or, might I say, used to work in previous versions prior to 2.5. Use the layouts in the meantime until there is an updated version in 3-4 weeks...
  7. The package has been downloaded, in this form or another, by thousands which have been using it mostly without an issue. Every single aspect of how to use it is either explained within the package or through Q&A within the thread. Read the manual, read the thread and put some effort into it and I am sure you shall sort it out.
  8. The reason I use AutoHotKey is because I wanted to use a very accessible key without sacrificing its intended assignment...so...I can use DMS down for both DMS down and for TrackIR through a shifted layer (ie joystick lever + DMS down). I do not know of a way to use Lever + any button assignment through the TrackIR UI.
  9. It's an Autohotkey script and not done through the TIR UI. How to is in post #21 in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2344787&postcount=21 Yes. That's how DCS operates. It's normal. Target and DCS UI are two different approaches: 1. DCS UI uses and sees two different controllers connected to the computer and you can assign commands to each one separately. 2. Target is TM own program that acts as a very powerful go between the physical controllers and Windows. Windows doesn't see the controllers themselves but a new "combined" controller which can only be programmed through Target and in Target's own language. This language is far from friendly but is very powerful and enables one a lot more. Is Target necessary with DCS? In my opinion no and it's a waste of time for the DCS UI gives one almost all what the regular user needs. With other Sims it's another story. So...as answered in regard to section 4...since I didn't use Target: no. Reading the whole thread shall give you some other insights as well. Enjoy :)
  10. Gulf76, Since I don't have 2. Installed I can not help you here. Though...since so many have been downloading the package I was sure it is also used with 2.
  11. I don't think the priority matches the order within DCS and I don't know for sure. As for messing with Window's controller specific assignments...never messed with it personally because I never had an issue. You can search for tools online or maybe change the controllers' lua files. Good luck :)
  12. I guess there is a way but it has to do with your own Window's definition of he controllers you use. It has to do with the assigned priority/ Number (1, 2, 3...). Just search and play around with their settngs till you find the right Window definition. Or...you can just unplug just one USB before you fly DCS... As for the pedals..,I don't know.
  13. I am quite surprised with this thread... I regard the ED forum as a serious forum meant for serious people who like to share, advise, get help and enjoy all things related to DCS in particular and flying in general. I have yet to see such a fantasy thread linger for so long without being locked or otherwise. The author of this thread has been writing fantasy promises for far too long and all along he has also manage to criticize TM, Natural Point and other companies for their technical and economical shortcomings (according to him). It is quite the author's right to induldge in fantasy. It is even more than fine for him to have followers. My only question: is ED forum the right stage for this farce?
  14. Thanks ! As for your request: "**There are no planned updates at the moment other than fixes to ver 10".
  15. At the current time there are no plans for future updates.
  16. Interesting. I think you're missing some simple step. Please try the following...just delete the A-10C files within the input folder while DCS is closed. Then reopen > get into the input setting > assign anything to any HOTAS switch or whatever > close DCS > replace the A-10C files within the input folder with the ones from the package > add the "Lever" step. It should work now.
  17. The old saying goes there are no stupid questions... ;) The file is a folder which contains several files and it's all wrapped together in a .RAR format which you need an RAR to open with. None of which is a .url file.
  18. Might be but none tested. My advice is to build it afresh since the bindings should probably be different.
  19. hegykc, Where did you bring that audacity from to patronize people and companies that have thus far showed proven high quality products that people actually use? You want backed up facts Mr arrogance? Here are a few: 1. Thus far, for more than 3 years ever since your first post on April 12th 2013, you have not sold one product to the public. 2. Thus far, for more than three years you have given the community nothing but words accompanied by pictures or sketches. 3. Your attitude towards other people in the community and companies that actually contribute products and not mere words is derogatory. 4. I ask here formally that the ED forum moderators either shut this thread down or take other disciplinary actions against you. You wish to be great? First be humble at the presence of others who have been giving this community so much more than what your thread had given thus far.
  20. Sorry...just couldn't resist.... Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high, There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby. Somewhere over the rainbow Skies are blue, And the dreams that you dare to dream Really do come true. Someday I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far Behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow. Why then, oh why can't I? If happy little bluebirds fly Beyond the rainbow Why, oh why can't I? Do hope it all comes true,or some of it.
  21. angelmonk, 1. JSGME is not mandatory, yet it enables more options for the Warthog switches...as explained in length by me in this thread. It is my advice to use the mods attached if it is your intention to use the P-51D, TF-51D or UH-1H. Explanations of where to read and what to do with them is in the instructions attached in the package. 2. The "Lever"/ modifier stage is explained in depth in the instructions attached in the package: "One more a must have action before you fly: Some keys I use for more than one acion and that is done with adding a modifier...a lever that when held you can use any button on the HOTAS for executing another action. So...after you had replaced the input folder go into DCS>settings(each and every module's setting)>push the Buttom left Modifier button>push add button>choose joystick at the top option>pull the lever in front of your pinky>name it "Lever">save." So...follow the instructions attached....then if you don't understand something read the thread from the beginning (it's not that long) and if you don't understand something I'll be sure to help...
  22. Once in a while a dreamer wanders in, spreading new found revelations and, in most cases, wanders off into thin air leaving behind mostly written words. It is what it is and it's best be left alone and not made into a basis for an argument based upon...actually...a dream...
  23. Dirk, You're welcome ! As for the toggle switches...it's not a code, yet alone my code. It's actually a very small manipulation of a lua file with all the commands as set by each module's programmers. Since the toggle switches are not the subject of this thread I would refer you to the following: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226 You will find there all the guidance you seek in the matter. Good luck and enjoy.
  24. Thanks Nash! Actually...when you've been given so much by the community giving back is quite easy :)
  25. Bullseye66, Thanks for your appreciation :) As for the custom controls... 1. Follow the instructions of the JSGME post to the letter http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1622052&postcount=1 2. The custom controls add commands to the Options > Controls in 3 modules and them only: TF-51D, P-51D, UH-1H. When done properly the new commands are preceded by the word "Alternate". I think it's needed to activate the custom controls before adding the new input data but I'm not sure about that. Either way I think you probably miss something concerning the JSGME...usually something small and annoying ;) Good luck.
