  1. If I may...though the profiles themselves are not ready for current DCS versions...there are the graphical layouts within the package...download the package>extract the graphical layouts...and just program the different buttons and switches according to the assignments in them.
  2. Negative. Work is not done with modules which are not mastered. The main goal of this project is to help new comers with a shallower learning curve. It is not meant to profile each and every module...though there were attempts to accomplish that with 3rd parties...which didn't work.
  3. Not yet, sorry. Waiting to see if 2.0 shall be made final in the next few weeks. If not then work shall be done with 1.52.
  4. F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible agrasyuk, Since someone else answered you I didn't find it necessary to reiterate it. Milan is from Croatia and he is the one I was referring to. As for the material not being metal and its significance...that had been debated upon in a long thread and the end enlightenment of that debate was that if metal has any advantage over the composite material Milan uses it's negligible. Besides the material there is also the electronics part of the pedals and the exceptional accuracy and credibility, as well as endless options of customizations. But...I'm afraid you completely missed the point of my post...it's about less words and a more end result product. I'm sure it is not easy and the possibility of a dedicated stick for each module, especially the Hornet, is astounding. Still..I think it would benefit this project to spread less words and to materialize a product worthy of the hopes and wishes of the community.
  5. agrasyuk, Oh, but you know this Croatian guy lol for his product had materialized. What is written is not what might be but rather what is.
  6. I know this guy...he doesn't speak much, but when he does it's wisdom one should usually listen to. He doesn't advertise much but those who have heard of his craftsmanship line up and wait, patiently. He doesn't boast or promise anything he can not do, though his knowledge and skills are far beyond other's I have met. He doesn't speak much, not on forums or anywhere else...though he is very fluent, knows how to express himself and has an opinion. This guy concentrates on 3 things: 1. Making the best product he can dream of. 2. Giving the best service to those who are interested in his products or buy it. 3. The love of aircrafts. 4. The love of craftsmanship. Not to criticize anyone, but I read here so many words... Can we see some results as close as possible to this Croatian guy? In all aspects.
  7. As written in the first post of the thread the use of the profiles is not advised for versions 1.5 beta and 2.0 alpha. The package was made for the final stable version 1.2. When it was usable the method was indeed to copy only the folders of the modules you actually needed and owned and not all. As for the TrackIR...it only attaches the zoom in the outside world to the throttle's slider within DCS options. It doesn't interfere with its profile within the TrackIR program. Again...the F-15 is one of the profiles I found to have problems with current none final versions and I advise you to not use it.
  8. DCS Warthog HOTAS Profiles by Polaris & Schnix It isn't as much about issues concerning 1.5 beta, CrackerJack ,as quite a few of minute changes being made to commands within DCS general section and in different modules. These changes make any pre 1.5 inputs obsolete and thus should be avoided (I'm not trying to start an argument or debate with the nay sayers...for...as I wrote...these changes are indeed minute and not all shall encounter them...but if I'm giving something to the community it should at least work properly). Since these changes are not listed anywhere there is no way for me to know the extent, other than the changes I have encountered thus far with the P-51D and the F-15C. What to do in the meantime?...in my opinion wipe the content of the input folder and enter DCS so it makes new ones. Then use the layouts I supplied to do new setups for the modules you intend on using during the beta phase. I shall do my best to supply new packages with every new stable update/ when it finishes the beta phase. One more thing mate...do not calibrate the HOTAS within windows but update your drivers and use the TM calibration tool made specifically for the Warthog,
  9. The difference lua is relative to the actual commands within the sim. I thought the same as you until I found out that small changes are taking place without being mentioned in any changes log. The changes range from command name, to absence or incorporation of similar commands. Since even a small change renders the relative difference command unusable it is advisable to not carry the inputs from one version to another. More than that...my advice is to completely delete the content of your input folder and let the sim build its controllers' lua afresh. But...I think that the common practice should be to renew the inputs every othe update. Usually...if there is a difference it shall be quite small/ or almost irrelevant. So... 1. Make charts for each plane to help you configure a new one. 2. Wait for a stable final version to configure everything perfectly. That's the reason I'm not updating my Warthog package at the moment till the final version is released.
  10. I don't like this update! I really don't! It broke my Mustang ! Every time someone shoots me at the canopy it breaks...with cracks and holes! Do you know how much money it takes to fix it? I bought a Mustang for full price with an unbreakably insured canopy and you managed to mess it up. Not only that but you also added the engine's idle sound and that cloud of water when you fly too close to it. I am amazed! Well Done ED !!! By the way...is it fine to use a tape to fix the holes till you guys send me a new replacement?
  11. Sierra99, 1. I never wrote "easier" but "easy"...as in not comparing it to DCS but helping a fellow simmer with an issue. 2. I didn't compare Falcon BMS to DCS and I'm not going to, besides stating facts. 3. Assigning the WartHog in DCS is not without its difficulties, as can be seen at my dedicated thread over at the input section with the amount of people who read it and download and use the package I provide just to help people out. While I do respect your experience I think it is best if we leave the issue of which is better and give our respect both to ED for their achievements, as well as to the BMS team for their achievements.
  12. That's the part that takes 2 minutes mate... PM shall be sent shortly, for this is the DCS world.
  13. Key binding for the Warthog within BMS, with or without the MFDs, is nothing short of a piece of cake. There are essentially two ways: 1. My preferred: use Kolbe's dx generator attached within the sim's folders. Read the manual, choose your settings as you prefer them (or use the template provided) and then just copy paste into the BMS-Full.key...rename it...put it back into the config folder and load it up. 2. Target: there are two sets of ready to go profiles within the community...Morphine and Mud. Download...copy...paste...go. Spend another two minutes within the BMS setup/controllers/advanced settings and go fly. Even in DCS your Warthog is pretty handicapped in most modules unless you edit the lua with custom controls or make a target profile. I sure love my DCS. I only wish to have more of its promises than of its prophecies. . .
  14. I think it's simple: DCS is an international sim for the international communty made by a Russian based company. So...either English or Russian as an end user choice. I know that when I fly with Russian instractions it disturbs my immersion. As I'm sure is the same goes for Russians and English, especially when they fly an SU-27. By the way...I'm sure the idea doesn't suggest French for the Mirage or Chzeck for the L-39 or Texan for the Falcon (which we don't have yet). Keep it simple: two languages with a menu choice.
  15. Well Done !!! For the initiative and the participants. Shall wait eagerly for the next one...
  16. And...YES YES YES ! Thank you :) Got my infusion back online. Appreciated!
  17. CrackerJack, Glad you worked it out :) Weatherman, It sounds like you didn't clean your categories before starting to make new profiles. Somehow the simulator assigns triplicate commands for certain actions...so...clean the throttle, joystick and rudder categories both in the regular section and in the axis section before starting afresh. As for the Mig-15 and F-86 specifically...I didn't make any setup for them. If you want to use the lever as a modifier you have to make it as such in those modules as well (options>controls>modifiers>add in the left window...) Good luck.
  18. Check the axis if something is changed. It should be as smooth as butter on a sunny day ;)
  19. They should work if you load them properly, but mot perfectly. Clean your categories and manually load them.
  20. nervousenergy, First off...I have found out that even though minor updates logs don't refer to input changes, there are changes made to input configurations. Due to that I advise NOT to copy paste my inputs at the current time. When 1.5 shall be released I shall update all and make a new package for download. Including custom controls. As for the custom controls...there's not much programming involved with it but a simple copy/ paste to make two seperate commands a one up/ down command, where applicable. All you need to know is here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226 Enjoy :)
  21. Ayindi, You are absolutely correct. You are not the first to have noticed this and it shall be changed in the next update.
  22. Hi, I've been using tapatalk for a few years and it has helped me tremendously to keep in sinc with the forum. As I understand it there has been an ongoing problem with oush notifications. Their support checked it and it seems like the problem is on this side. Could you please check it out ED? I really miss all the news... (And I know how to operate the forum and search the new topics...push is so much more convenient and customizable).
