I think a dev may answer you, but I guess no, you'll have to learn. And anyway, modders will do it if you really need one... Nicolas

pffff, The polychop one is more accurate than this one...

It means "Goal", And if you knew what it means in french ... That's quite simple to translate guys : M= Marche = Working A= Arrêt = Stop BUT= Goal Mer= Sea Terre= Land Veille= "On but waiting, like on your TV when you push on the red button " Prêt= Ready Vent= Wind And I guess the remaining is the same than in english for the first letters or approximately the same so understandable. 8 words guys, you should do it ;) Nicolas

I really don't know for this, you will have to wait for devs to share more informations, and it may take a while ;) But on the cockpit photo you just posted, partially hidden by the collective, there is an instrument (With the 2 bigs rotators) which isn't in the M1. So it may be this. It's twice larger than the FM radio. @Yurgon, perhaps you build nice delineators, but you don't have this : You lost. Definitely. There is no way to save your food, and don't counter-attack with beer, we've got Wine and Champagne for us :D Nicolas ps : But be can ally against British, their food is even worse than yours :megalol:

I CAN GIVE YOU AN ANSWER :D So, to map your Hotas you may have to use at least 2 China Hats (camera move, camera modes, zoom), auto-hover, speed and alti autopilot, telemetry, fire, pylon selection, classic trim plus if possible a third china Hat for the "plane trim". And you go ! Don't thank me :D Nicolas

@Bad : I'll check this. @MicroVax... Germans draw circles in the grass, Frenches go at war :D :megalol: :megalol: :megalol: :megalol: :megalol: :megalol:

Yes, but anyway. IRL, if you make a hard landing (100 m/min), don't really know how to say. The rear leg of the gear will get vertically through the aircraft, causing its partial destruction. For obvious reasons, this behavior cannot be simulated in DCS, but it will result in your helicopter ending on the side. Over 5 M/sec, it's complete destruction. [ame]http://www.defense.gouv.fr/content/download/105614/1032427/file/Rapport%20public%20BEAD-air-T-2008-012-A.pdf[/ame] This one, between 8 and 10m/sec estimated. Was very surprised that Wags survived to his vortex on the last stream. Kinda lucky (Or was in immortal but ssshhhhhh :D) Nicolas

There are 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 ways to die with the Gazelle. The L1 version lowers this number to 999 999 999 999 999 999 999 999 999. :megalol:
-
You want to know what is crazy with the Gazelle ? This cockpit is supposed to be a L1 one. You could think "Here is the standard cockpit of a L1". But on manuals, you don't have the same. IRL, too, you don't always have the same... Gazelle is amazing :megalol: For the way of shooting, don't know. I don't think it's the same grip for the gunner than on the M1 version. More complex on this one, but there isn't any grip on the gunner door, so I don't know. I only see instruments which already are present on the M1. So by tone perhaps yes.

Ok then 2 problems : 1) No paratroopers in DCS quite stupid for a paratrooper plane :D 2) No possibility to land correctly on grass, due to a very strangely coded ground. It may be hard ;) Nicolas

Yes there is a "FPS" limit for the human eye, and it's about 90FPS. This is why, for example, the recommended FPS for the VR systems is 90FPS. Edit : 50 FPS for each eyes, and the brain has to "process" so around 100 FPS. But technically, your brain will artificially "fill" the spaces between each image.
-
Yes but the Viviane version guys... It's the "fat ass" version. To give you a simple illustration, you need to be at 70% fuel capacity with 4 HOT, and a HOT is 23 kg heavy. So unless you just want to fly 20 minutes with it or your special forces soldiers are very slim, you won't carry 3 more people ;) Nicolas

Ok, technically, on the Campaign, I didn't meet this problem. I don't know if the code used is exactly the same. I met problems on Nevada (not only with Gazelle), like white water or white trees. EDIT : after having seen the screens, I'd say that it's more contrasted on the Gazelle. But perhaps is it because you usually spot enemy units from less than 10 km. Honestly, I never had any problem in finding units with it. But I'm known in my squad to be able to spot everything (And for my modesty of course :D) Nicolas
-
That's quite simple. On older Gazelle version, the pilot had a sight, he aimed at the target, fired his HOT and used the sight to guide the missile manually. On the Viviane version, it's kinda the same, the main difference is that the Camera itself will send informations to the missile to keep it in the center of the sight, so you can, for example, shoot while moving easier. Just for myself guys, what is for you the FLIR problem ?
-
Yes sure... But if in 1 year, a new free modded overhaul comes out... -_- Challenge accepted :D

Dassault Mirage IV for me as long as you only want US planes and I want a bit of balance (One french nuclear aircraft against all that stuff should be enough :megalol: )

A lot to learn I have Master :D

My real concern about the texture DLC is about its modding possibility. If textures are locked, there may be no way to upgrade them or something like this. And IMO, it's always necessary to upgrade textures. Specially in simulators.

387 RPM to be accurate ;) A human eye is around 90 FPS. (DOn't really know if it matters). But anyway, shadows already are a problem for most games, they are huge resources eaters... Do you really want it to be calculated and displayed 15 times faster ;) ?
-
That's normal, Youtube makes some treatments before making a 720p or 1080p version disponible.
-
It could be very interesting, but may be hard to build a campaign around it :D
-
Ok, I hope then that with a better modeling level, we'll be able to get sick in front of our screen :D
