Hmm "Something for everyone" And all of that other stuff they said i reckon; F4 Carrier variant/Harrier/MiG23 Just some guesses, i think the MiG23 is the perfect opponent for the F14 and the MiG23MLD can do both A2A and A2G and refuel, so something for everyone for sure. The earlier F4's are great for the MiG21 and are tandem multi role and can refuel so again something for everyone. It all complements each other. Sea Harrier would fit in nicely too.

Is amazing, now i can ride the knife's edge and battle my foe in style. Just had some battles with ai F4's, i chose to merge head on at max speed to get in for a heater shot(My setup it's very hard to control systems in combat so point n shoot with heater cut out all the in-cockpit fumbling around stuff:doh:), i came in low to make it harder for him to track me which seemed to help. Anyways had a protracted dogfight and finally got the better of him when he tried to run for it. Stalled about 3 or 4 times during the fight :D Managed to recover though. I notice the F4 E's which i think they were, had a lot of thrust, they could go in the vertical and used it successfully against me. The new FM is so much fun i even auto rotated it which i've always heard about the 21. MiG21 is a dream come true :) Thank's ~S~

Yeah that's the way it always was and it was always great mp. Surprised the ai is still basically broken and unchanged though, it's been years. I wonder if it's old code that no-one wants to touch.?:joystick: And following up, is DCS world 2 much more than a transition to DX11+? I heard that theater creation has been sorted out, is there any re-writes of the core stuff? Like ai ?

Love the new fm on the Su27, incredible. The MiG21 is a beaut too. So glad it's still being developed (the game as a whole). Although there are serious ai issues, that haven't improved in over 10 years since the original lomac. The MiG pilot holds at max alpha and 180knots, nose straight up to avoid a missile... wt.. Aircraft just buzz around while they get shot down, half heartedly pumpin flares and maneuvering like they were a commercial charter airline. So a beautiful flight sim, still a shaky game. Hope they spend a year just fixin it. It would be the best year spent dev'n it yet.

Hi i bought the download version, and recently and inexplicably, my lockon folder has corrupted and ive lost some key files to run the game with. So, is there any support for me to retrieve these files? And secondly, if not, are digital downloads still available to purchase this game? Thanks

It seems some of my main files in the LOMAC folder have been deleted..I dont know why, i just found this after trying to launch the game. So now i cant play anymore!!! I payed for the game online, i would like to get these files back, can lockon.ru help out?

First off you model just a few, second; i can get the speed up to 2500+ at sea level. You just reduce weight on the aircraft in the me file, and increase the Max Speed #, and Max Alt#. Thats it. The only thing is after 2500 the controls reverse..... but keep it below 2500 and your good to go. 2500 at sea level is pretty amazing in game. The world is just Roaring by!

I imagine, all you have to do to the missiles, is decrease their weight big time, ramp up 'missile effectiveness' and then its pretty much just the 3d models left to do.

What, replacing the 3D models?

Ok, ive just tried the fly all planes mod and found that the lighter aircraft perform quite well. So i conceived of an idea that would replace these aircraft 3D models with 'futuristic' airframes and let rip with a good mod. Right now i can fly at 150K' or so and outrun missiles. Just boost the missiles speed and range and you have an interesting evolution of a flight sim, into a 'futuristic' flight sim, (you know cruising at 3000Knots and flying at 150'000 feet). Anybody had this idea yet?

Ok so in the sticky it says that i should have ; 295,916,115 bytes Well i download i get; 287,746,956 bytes With Firefox dl'in i get around 170 megs. So...... Is this going to be straightened out or what?

No. Error code 3, this time before the program started the installation 'dance'. Need some help over here.
