There used to be a game in 4 colour CGA, it used pyramids for mountains and the terrain was a solid lump of purple. It ran on a pc with a 25mhz cpu, 512k ram and 2mb hdd.
It had a campaign where you could plan attacks against any target to outcome the campaign.
OCA the airfields and deny them air power, then get the tanks? As a virtual F16 pilot you waged a war with your squadrons, and you quickly developed your own tactics. I would hit the fuel depots after a time and watch as the enemy war machine ground to a halt.
There is nothing like a mission that actually makes a difference to the war.

Here's my cheesey sell point to ED, but improvements to the core game, improve every module at the same time, i think it would be a major addition to the Sim/Game(?)

Improved Radio comms.

Just chiming in, yeah the MiG21-93 would be amazing. Imagine an upgraded MiG21, Helmet sights R73/aim9x, IRST, F16 radar, Amraam/R77/R27E, more thrust, god it would be mental.
Shallow and fast with the 21, and cushion the sink rate with a burst of power.
Don't try and be a flare master with it, just get it down within limits and use the throttle to take the sharp edges out of it.
Yeah a working AWACS and Ground control would be nice, not to mention atc that regulates it's zone of control.

Weather is and winds are a big and ever present factor in flying, it's a shame DCS doesn't convey this to it's players much. Players who don't fly Irl are missing out on a whole load of fun.

All i can say about the F18 is EffShmeighteen, MiGs dance circles around it.

How about GDI (is that the right acronym?) for the MiG21?
EWR stations share the same problems with AWACS?
How about scripted Awacs/GDI delivering text to the player?
Also how about more fleshed out CA stuff in your missions? A few more SAM systems that players can take to a tactical position and await the enemy?

P.S. The Op Leopard mission is giving a few people problems with stutters, is it just more intensive on RAM than the others?

Not even possible! This is computer land were talking about here, they can do anything at all, the infantry have skeletal animation, and follow commands. The carrier tends to be the focus when at sea, allowing for high levels of detail without rendering huge amounts of terrain. Many leagues from impossible. They have the hard stuff done already it seems.
Mine does this, it was fine at first in sp... But in mp it was like that.
Then after a few days it started appearing like this during my sp as well.
By the way i run the game with only 4gb of memory so i know that's not upto snuff.
