Just wondering what is the size of the f14 on disk and relatively how much of a performance load is it to run? Muchos gracias

So id like to create a program that tracks your online stats, a sort of logbook for your online 'career'. So flight times/kills/deaths etc and sorted by server. This i imagine would require the server to host the script. Then the info will get written to a log file and i can have a program that displays the details. Is there any interest in this? Has it already been done? What are the chances server admins will incorporate it into their missions? Just putting it out there as they say. Cheers.

Just want to say, aside from the frustrations, flying on a server like GS, pvp, is phenomenal. Dcs multiplayer is just incredible with all these people online, air to air combat with talented adversaries. What an experience. So thank-you for this experience everyone involved. For what its worth i can run caucuses map with 8gb of ram and only 5gb of page file is used. Preload radius is low but it all looks good. Maybe its just the caucuses i dont have pg.

Getting it again, cleaned out fxo and metashader folders, no mods. I get close to an aircraft in mp and it kicks me out. Also deleted saved game folder too as that helped last time. Didn't help and reduced the number of servers displayed drastically. Hi Ed got any input or do us players just figure this out amongst ourselves?

So if you find yourself struggling to run dcs; Setting my max processor state to 70 or so reduces all my stutters and makes it playable. It was processor heat limiting my cpu that caused the terrible performance. One big thing to look out for, windows updates resets all my settings and after an update you have to go back and check them. Im able to play on a laptop with 8gb ram and a 2.5ghz cpu set to 70% performance. I use intel extreme tuning app to devolt the cpu and disable turbo.

The ufo subject deserves good science, unfortunately the waters are muddied by lots of nonsense. A little bad data goes a long way, like climate change and tobacco smoke. There have been serious investigations into it, but i think admitting there's something going on that we have no control over, means we wont hear about it.

Yeah i get it. Every forum i know doesn't allow these type of discussions. On the other hand i wonder if all discussions are flawed, it's more about beating chests and taking sides. Of all the motivations to engage in discussion i think an honest interest in truth is the rarest one.

Just wondering, have the missions on GS recently changed, ie more ground units added? I'm suddenly getting a lot of stutters, and tragically it's on the verge of unplayable.

Something i see people do is just chop the throttle over the runway as its done this way in other aircraft. The mig is no floater like the cessna 172. Dont dump the throttle, just use it to control how hard or soft you contact the runway. Makes it all a lot easier.

Yes and i did! No mods at all. I just deleted everything in saved games. Thanks everyone for helping me get back into the air.

......... You did it. My saved game folder was the culprit, deleted that ran dcs and no problems. Thank-you so much !
