I think he is using Trackir you can see the sensor bottom left not on-top and because when he moves his head the picture moves but I guess you dont need to set it up to be very sensitive when you have such a big display area and FOV.

I haven't noticed that Kuky, I will check it out. Edit: The Rocket pods seem to be working fine for me, still visible at any range. Maybe you have altered your LOD setting to be too harsh?

I'm going to ask TOMCATZ if I can upload this model from LockOn4Ever5.0 mod, so we can use it while we are waiting for the really high detailed one, Anything has got to be an improvement on the current model.

In VAC Bulider, click File, Import, VAC Profile (xml) and browse to the Online version lockon 2_0.xml file click Open. Then tweak the profile to how you like it. Done. Try it free for 30 days to see if you like it.

In windows Vista and 7 there are some issues with administrator privileges. Vac system and the program it is talking to need to have the same access token (administrator or normal user) to talk to each other. I Have only the put in the most common ones and have strung commands together to make them quicker to say. You do have to remember the radio commands structure a little more this way be when you get use to it it is much better and has less recognition mistakes. Lots of the voice commands shorten 4 key presses into one command. and it is more realistic to speak to the tower and ground crew. I often have to alt tab out if my Trackir, teamspeak or vac system is playing up, but when the option is set to full screen mode I cannot get back to the game. a small header just stays at the top of the desktop. the game is still running because i can here the sound and pressing Esc and clicking near the middle of my desktop I sometimes hit the quit key. It is really annoying because I have to ctrl+alt+del and close the process in task manager, losing all my mission progress. Turning the full screen option off means I can alt tab again but lose A LOT of fps. Im running Vista 32bit with Nvidia GTX260 with 197.45_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit drivers Anyone know how to fix this problem?

What a Beautiful end to a successful mission (Su-25 Revanche mission 5 RETREAT SUPPORT) I Taxied to parking area and was just powering down and reviewing how the mission had gone, when............ I hear a helicopter landing close by. Very Close! I hear a massive banging and much shrieking of metal and shaking of cockpit. I look over to see that he has decided to put down on my wing! I get a mission failed message. So my pilot looks over and gives him the EVIL EYES

Any Updates on this model. I want it in game so bad I was thinking of building one myself but this project seems so far advanced, it has got to be released soon, right?

This mod is awesome, really brings a lot to the F-15C, now I can actually see what speed I am doing without zooming all the way into the dial.

In the controls editor I can't assign 2 joystick button modifiers to the same action. yet it will quite happily take two keyboard modifiers Screen shots: Will accept two keyboard modifiers But when I assign two joystick Buttons that are setup as modifiers It comes up with an invalid action preset error. You could use an external program to set the joystick buttons to Lctrl and Lalt keypresses but it is a pain that the controls editor will not let me assign two modifiers and a standard button.

use JoyToKey it is a small and simple free joystick to keyboard emulator. http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/2/I/JoyToKey/JoyToKey.htm you just have to figure out which joystick number is your pedals and which axis are the brakes, then assign that axis a keyboard key in joytokey and bind that same key to the wheel brake in game. In the joytokey prefrences tab you might have to enable "use axis's other than X and Y". If you have more that 2 joystick devices connected make sure you also put that number up in joytokey preferences tab.

Sweet! I liked the star wars type valley flying at the beginning I never through you would be able to land with less than 1/2 of 1 wing, awesome I would like to see someone do it with an Advanced Flight Model plane like the Su-25. But that incident with the israeli f-15 pilot does prove it is capable in that aircraft. I also like the debriefing showing that you died yet 13 mins later landed the plane. best dead person flying I have ever seen and if anyone hasn't seen it here is the video story of the F-15 landing with 1 wing When a McDonald Douglas investigation team anylysed the landing they said "the F-15 has a very wide body and if you fly fast enough your like a rocket and don't need wings" !!!

Yeah I have Anisotropic filtering set to 8x but that isn't the issue here I'm pretty sure.

I can't figure out what to change to see roads further away. It is hard to navigate to a target when at 1500m you can't see roads just out the front of you cockpit until they pop into existence. Often I will spot vehicles driving along and not even see the road they are on until i get closer. Medium { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 5; far_clip = 120000; structures = {60, 11000}; trees = {500, 15000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {5000, 80000}; mirage = {3000, 40000}; surface = {5000, 35000}; lights = {100, 30000}; lodMult = 1.5; lodAdd = 0; } I have Increased structures to 11km which helps with navigating has quite a big impact on fps. Surely increasing road distance will not hurt my fps much more. any help warmly welcomed. jib

Interesting read, I never knew the lockon maps took into account the curve of the earth or Meridians getting closer further north. got me thinking one day we might have a combat flight sim map that spans the whole globe!

First it does help to use a nice high resolution screen (1920x1080 is good )and make sure your resolution is set up properly in the options. Use the view zoom. the default is Num/ but it is best to bind it to your joystick. this will help in spotting far off targets alot. Reconnaissance. If you think you know where a target is don't fly directly over it but to one side and have a look out of the side of your cockpit (helps if you have Trackir) and pick out landmarks that can help guide you to the target on the next run Military vehicles are camouflaged for a reason, it makes them very difficult to spot especially from the air. I often see the bright yellow civilian bus going along the road and miss the T-72 sitting next to it. Maverick322 you can cycle the targeting box through all the targets that are in the attack zone or that your wingman picks out for you, not sure what button I will just check. If you get frustrated, yeah put on labels, I used to have my labels set to full stops ( . ) they are still quite hard to see so it doesn't take all the realism out of it.
