That does indeed seem to be a bug. I never tend to use the DH DT switches and it seems i never actually tested them (opps). The code you tried to enter is almost right but it needs to be if (_global.VarDHDT=='DOWN') {return 'DHDT^[@]Datalink/SWITCHUP.png[&]VarDHDT^UP'} if (_global.VarDHDT=='MIDDLE') {return 'DHDT^[@]Datalink/SWITCHDOWN.png[&]VarDHDT^DOWN'} if (_global.VarDHDT=='UP') {return 'DHDT^[@]Datalink/SWITCHMIDDLE.png[&]VarDHDT^MIDDLE'} Else it will just stay in the middle position all the time. Dont worry if you cant fix it. I will get it fixed and upload a new version ASAP.

There are quite a few bugs that you get to learn with the profiler. I find that if you use the mode switch and try to make a new command on mode 3 it will put the command on that button on mode 1 and over right it. I Also think i had trouble with putting numbers (e.g. 2) in the names of commands. Make sure you export your profiles every time you change something or you are likely to lose it them and cry :(

the trimmer button (T) not releasing the force feedback pressure when held down, on my logitech G940. It only releases the pressure for an instant when you lift the key up. I have to send it a stream of t's to get it to move much and it is very "graty" on the ffb motors.

If any one is having problems with this. I found a solution in another thread, but it is a big long winded and confusing: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54291&page=5 In your screen control panel software (Windows 7 shown) put your screens on top of each other like this (even if they are not really): and then reset up your cockpit export, remember to change the horizontal (X) resolution in options.lua to your single biggest screen size (this is what fixes the stretching):)

Let me get this straight in my head, commands and keystrokes work for most buttons but only keystrokes work on the square buttons on the throttle?

There was a problem with the PVI buttons missing textures in ver 2 I have uploaded a new version and updated the link.

VAC profile and WIN keys for DCS: A-10c
jib replied to kobac's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey don't be disheartened, I just think that most people that have the sense to buy VAC will also make there own profile. Not to put you off posting yours here, you could really make someone's day, I know just how long it takes to make and test these things. To answer your question YES I belive I did have trouble with VAC and DSC recognizing left vs right WIN keys. DCS is rare that it distinguishes between left and right modifier keys(but it just has so many buttons it has to!!). -
I made a short demo video of my Touch-Control profile in action.

This Sounds like it would be a good mission. It will take a lot of balancing. Also it is very hard to balance out the ground troops because I have seen a single tank in a good position take out multiple columns of advancing enemy tanks (hopefully the improved ground AI in the later patched versions of DCS will help this). I cry a little that they had to take out ground commander mode :( Also in my experience, it takes alot more skill to do the same task in a Ka-50 than in an A-10 so either the Ka-50 pilots will need to be more experienced or there will need to be alot more of them.

Im am at work atm, I was thinking about taking a video soon anyway. the ABRIS mode is good, the refresh rate is a little slow but very useable.

After many many hours of work here is the latest version of my fully animated ipad cockpit. EDIT: NOW Public Release Ver 6 (Tested with DCS World 1.2.2) CHANGE LOG VER 6: 1) Updated default weapons system keys. 2) Fixed Shkval. 3) Tested with DCS World 1.2.2 Know bugs: 1) The autopilot buttons seem to go invisible which they never used to, I will look into that. 2) Tv-black/white switch which I cannot get working. CHANGE LOG VER 5: 1) BRRD switch is now 3 position, to match in game. 2) Flare Dispenser panel. 3) Better Abris textures and functionality. Things I'm working on for next version: 3) PVI button Lights. Download Touch Control Config files here: http://sdrv.ms/UTP7PQ Alternative dropbox download KA-50TouchControlServer_export_full Video link It is using RICORDOS HD cockpit textures, so it looks really good. It includes interactive: ABRIS (with live veiw via screen grabber). Datalink panel. Autopilot panel. left weapons panel. PVI (not yet showing feedback). Shkval (I dont use this as I show it on a my main screen, so it is not that well test). Front weapons panel. Helmet and Shkval brightness panel. to make the buttons interactive you will need to press the initilize buttons on the right when you load the server for the first time that day, this sets the variables to on or off. when you switch between panels there will be a short delay before the buttons sync up. ABRIS (a mockup of what it looks like because im at work and cant run ka-50, it looks better on the real thing) Not sure what happened too my other pictures, I will have to host them somewhere else. PVI Front Panels Both Weapons Panels on one screen Datalink, Autopilot and left weapons panel on 1 screen Flare Panel and possibly all other panels! Any comments or requests welcome. Enjoy. Edit: here is a link to touch control server http://www.touch-ir.com/ and iOS app http://itunes.apple.com/app/touchcontrol/id360139270?mt=8 the app is $4.99 and then to send key presses to the computer you will have to spend $1.99 on the auto hotkey in app purchase. it is worth it!

Is this a know bug with NVG and running multiple screens? the aspect ratio gets all messed up, the camera jumps to the left and you can't click any cockpit buttons, when I activated NVG. I also have RICORDO MOD, will try removing it.

i used to use the logitech 3d pro with force feedback on (with it toned down slightly), before i upgraded to the logitech G940. it is the most reilistic way to fly. there is a bug that means you have to send repeated keystrokes of the trim key so that it releases the force feedback (i cant remember if it effects the 3d pro or just the G940) but maybe this is where your problems are coming from. just a thought. but force feedback is the way it works in the real chopper and you dont have to worry about this centering nonsense.

I Have developed my datalink screen into a Datalink, Autopilot and Weapons\Targeting page. It is hard to get parallel screen-shots of the Autopilot Panel (middle one as shown), I might dive into the texture files to find a squarer image. Im still working on the look of it. I Should have some more panels done by the time the KA-50 - A-10 Compatibilty patch comes out! I'm thinking of doing the center weapons control and night vision brightness/contrast next. (I hate using those controls with my mouse) For those people without ipads, I have no idea how to port it to HTC, I guess there might be a similar program to touch-control. you can use the artwork in my configuration if you wish. I have attached a sort of beta copy if anyone wants it.http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=56960&stc=1&d=1317077154 Autopilot panel is not yet functional. http://www.touch-ir.com/ :The touch ir server TouchIRServer_export_full_201192623403.zip

IPadpit version 2.0 available for download
jib replied to Ghost_unit13's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am just finishing off an interactive Ka-50 datalink panel for touch-IR. I posted about it here http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1295074&postcount=5 It makes it a lot quicker to send people targets when you don't have to use the mouse. -
Hey I have continued Highwayman-Eds good work on the ka-50 touch-ir (now renamed "TouchControl") pit. by adding a datalink panel with working button lights! I will speak to Ghost_unit13 and try to get him to upload it to http://www.Ipadpit.nl when I have done a bit more testing and shortcut making.

It was an amazing feature, I'm sure i would have spend far more time commanding tank battles than I would have actually flying the A-10. It is such a shame they had to take it out. Im hoping so much that it comes back one day (soon!) but im not very hopeful. I hate laweys!!!

I saw this thread and though I would have a play around. It is easiest if you save the jpegs then change the viewer size so that the images are quite small size (about the size of a credit card) for the easiest way to see the 3D effect. here is what I got: SOO COOL. Now I really want to buy 3D Glasses and screen for my pc! ( I already have a Samsung 3D TV but way to much hassle moving my flight sim set-up to the other room just to test it)
-
Wicked Good luck with getting it to work with the latest version. I havent really got time to play around with it atm. but im up for bug testing if you get a bit further with it! What are the flight models like, is it the same as in FC2?

Flaming Cliffs 2 custom cockpit fully working hud /mfd tutorial
jib replied to trigen's topic in DCS Modding
beczl is that a full 6DOF custom cockpit in FC2? Amazing work. -
I was also amazed at how big the hind is in real life!

Great Idea but really I think ED should run a TS server and have a few Offical game Servers running like EA do for battlefield games. It would give more incentive to play online and promote the games longevity. It wouldn't cost them that much and other companies do it. Just a thought.
