I tell them to take out shilka's with bombs when flying at about 13000 then I tell them to attack tanks from which ever direction is the rear (weakest armour). I use them most when I'm low on ammo or know that im going to be later.

Yeah I had this with the logitech profiler as well, I have just had to map all the buttons ingame instead of sending keystrokes :( They must have changed somthing in the input method, annoying.

you basically run a server app on the pc and then the iOS device can send the pc keystrokes. check this site for the server app: http://www.touch-ir.com/ the app store: http://itunes.apple.com/app/touchcontrol/id360139270?mt=8 its $4.99 + $1.99 for the required addon also requires IOS 4. you might have to resize the image in touch ir as the iphone 3gs has a different resolution screen than the iphone 4 which i made it for, not sure.

I do believe that you can use both ipod and ipad at the same time, you will just have to have a touch ir profile with ipod versions of each display you want as well as the ipad ones. Setting up the Abris is not that hard (depends if you have messed with the multi monitor files before) If you don't want the abris displayed on you main screen as well as the ipad you will have to display it on a second monitor or a virtual screen. and then it can take a bit of tweaking with the touch ir screen capture to get it to fit perfectly. It is very useful to have the abris visible all the time but the frame rates from the capture are not quite real time It can slow your fsp down a bit, so unless you have a reasonably powerful setup I would give it a miss.

I made your mod files into a modman package, but I couldn't figure out how to make modman clear the "\Player" sound files so I had to back them up manualy. Also in the read me is says \player is in DCSInstallDir\\Sounds\Speech\Sound\ENG\DCS A-10C\ I dont have the DCS A-10C folder in \sounds\ENG its just \Sounds\Speech\Sound\ENG\Player\... 5100x1080 does seem like a mass area to render that is 5508000 (5 million) pixels that the computer needs to render several times a second. If you are getting 30 fps sometimes that seems reasonable because you would get 2.65 times the fps playing on full HD 1080p screen (80 fps) but it wouldn't be as an immersive experience.

It is not going to give a better quality as the game can only be rendered at the maximum res of your display 1680*1050 should be very good quality for videos as it is over 720p and just under 1080p standard (1920*1080). just stick to a res lower or equal to that of your display. Edit: Your system might struggle to record a video at 1680*1050 and play the game unless it is powerful. to capture videos without impacting frame rate you would have to use a second pc and a video capture card.

you could do with getting a Track IR, other wise good first video.

I had this happen to lots of my vhikrs the other day, maybe it was windy, I also had more luck when I switched to manual release mode.

I have the G940 which has a three way mode switch, I have now mapped the mini hat joystick as analog control on mode 1 and have left it mapped to ,.;/ buttons on mode 2. This works very well for fast scanning then switch to mode 2 for very fine locking. I have also played around with curves, saturation and deadzones but haven't had much luck with making an accurate analog shkval setting :(

I believe it took him hundreds if not thousands of hours do the textures for HD blackshark, because the geometry has changed there will be a hell of a lot of tweaking that needs to be done before he could release it for ver 2

If you watch videos of bomber attack runs they will often release (what you or I would consider) lots of audinace.In real life It is more wastful to lose millions of pounds worth of palne and pilot getting shot down making another pass than it is to drop a pair of bombs (one could be a dud). are you using flight peddles, twist joystick or keyboard for rudder? It is a lot easier with a set of peddles (except you then have to figure a way to untether them from the trim, I have a button on my hotas mapped to z to reset rudder trim)

Im using the 3D Pro as my backup joystick atm I have put a big dead zone (35) on the rudder, but it is still very sensitive, I will try your solution. I moved up from a logitech 3D pro to a G940 and overall I am very happy with it. The rotaries on the throttle have failed so I was thinking of sending it back under warranty but I think I will just replace the wires myself (I cant live without it for 4 weeks!) Im also thinking of modding the trimmer button so that is cuts the DC power supply while trimming so that the force feedback is slack, because noone has fixed this G049 bug with black shark :( but im not sure if constantly cutting the power supply will be bad for the joystick.

I have had this several times, to fix it I just mash the <>;/ keys on the keyboard and the skvhal stops wondering. very annoying tho.

Yeah it is hard, the Ka-50 was never designed as night/all weather attack helicopter. Just because the vikhr won't lockon (because of lack of contrast in the video image on the shkval) doesn’t mean your cannot guide the missile onto the target with adjustments on the slew stick. It is just alot more work to fight at night in this helicoptor.

Do you think we will get UAV control with Combined Arms? That would be really cool, maybe that is why they are not calling it "ground Commander" mode any more :)

Yeah I have seen that documenty, very cool if you are into black shark. The tank in question was firing air burst shells, thank god those are not modeled in dcs, yet!
