They've mixed up the Hornet and the Super Hornet. For the last one these dates are correct. And yes, it was a very very long way - from the YF-22 to the Raptor. :)

Соглашусь отчасти, однако только в части того, что касается логики управления бортом, но только не раньше 2020 года, и то, в отсутствии реальных и, более или менее, полных ТТХ. Поэтому и полагаю, что сие просто нереально, тем более зная, какую драконовскую политику в отношении партнеров по программе ведут США. По моему, надо поближе к реальности быть: Фэлкон, Хорнет, Апач, может Страйк Игл - им всем еще 15-20 лет служить, как минимум, и еще столько же времени они останутся костяком ВВС стран НАТО. А они зачем то выбрали два самых секретных НАТОвских самолета, пенсионера Кота, ну и Супер Хорнет, который тоже не сказать чтоб изучен и исследован(прежде всего нами и иными вероятнми друзьями). Ну как дети, чесслово, аж умиляет такая наивность в выборе для голосования. :)

In RuAF service? Nope. AFAIK, the last operational Su-25T was in the Lipetsk Combat Application Center, but it was damaged in the accident, taken place in December 15'2008, because of gear malfunction. Su-25TM is a version of the export Su-39, that was just proposed to RuAF by "Sukhoi's Sturmoviki" company(which is the part of Aviation holding company 'Sukhoi') after the 888 war, so it doesn't exist for RuAF too.

Да-да, уже понял, что переглючилов видимо меня. Просто сидел с неделю назад в онлайне, игрался с камерой F11, и как то вот сложилось ощущение, что большие они - пехотинцы эти. Долго причем пялился и сравнивал, но видимо то ли у меня чего с воприятием было не то, то ли просто FOV или положение камеры в заблуждение ввели. Еще раз прошу прощения за ложную тревогу.

Ok, forget about the ASuW and Hornet, i did mention them just as a minor 'bonus' task in my list. The most time-taking part of developing lies in the aspect of modeling and integration of all specific and mostly non-combat systems: general flight equipment and flight controls, avionics, navigation, datalinks, communications, interfaces, mechanization and many-many others, so if you want to develop several ACs, you'll be forced to make this job for each AC, again and again. I think the level of realism and AI, as it is, are enough - you may tell that it may be improved, but please, don't tell me that simulation of the multirole fighter will demand a radically better A2A AI or ACs models than it is in the original FC1/2. Same thing about A2G, which made a giant step in DCS:BS. Well, so be ready for this, right after the Warthog's release, because the first DCS-compatibility patch will bring the FC2 and all of its ACs into the "non-compatible" history. About the counterparts: how do you think, does need a specialized AC an Opfor counterpart? If yes, than we can double the number of ACs that need to be developed by ED. As i've already said before, then ED will spend more than decade to develop the specialized ACs of all the types and roles. If you, or me, do like the A2G engagements, it doesn't mean that the others like it too. We can make a poll about the type of the next wished AC. And i'm pretty sure about the result. ;) Maybe, but taking into account, that BS is the only single-seat attack helicopter in the whole World, during the modeling of the twin-seat Apache, developers may face such challenges(AI-copilot, for example), that may exceed the tedious but routine programming process in the case of the single-seat multirole fighter. Maybe i'm wrong, but i see a bunch of undiscovered problems and very high technological risks here. IMO Anyway, it will take a greater time and resources to develop a few specialized planes, than one or two, even if it's a multirole fighter. IMO It will be better to spend one more year developing all modes of the Falcon's(for example) radar, than spend a decade developing the several separate ACs while the most part of the target audience will be out of the focus. In conclusion. The multirole fighters is a backbone of any modern and future AF, as well as of the modern air-warfare. So, if we want to get within a decade or two a few small private helicopter/bomber/CAS fan-clubs, so, let it be. But i'm pretty sure that one or two multirole fighters will collect more audience than every single specialized AC and all of them together. The most important goal for any business is to make the maximum possible sales with the minimum efforts, funds, and the TIME, which is the most critical factor especially if you works in the such "narrow" market sector, as realistic gaming simulations is, spending years on development. The aviasims market is in the very poor condition - damn casuals and publishers nearly killed it. And ED is an unique company, the only one in the World, so please, don't tell them that they must to ignore the demands of the most part of audience or ask the people, who doesn't like CAS, bombers or pure fighters to wait the next 5-10 years. Multirole fighter is the only compromise for all of us. Period.

I really love the French birds too, but don't you think it's slightly....emmm...obsolete? :) I'd choose Rafale then. BTW, i'll be very glad to see the french fighters in DCS, but it looks like it's not gonna happen soon.

Mythical Su-25T?! - Oh, PLEASE... Pinpoint strike on the high-valuable targets: - ??? Deep strike with the fast low-level penetration of enemy ADs: - ??? Now let's get a closer look at the F-16/MIG-29SMT: Air-superiority: it's their nature CHECK! CAS: we have A-10 and Ka-50 - NOT SO ACTUAL ATM SEAD: Faclcon - HARM; SMT - Kh-31P CHECK! Pinpoint strike on the high-valuable targets: Falcon - GBU/JDAM ; SMT - Kh-29T/KAB500L/Kor CHECK! Deep strike with the fast low-level penetration of enemy ADs: more or less OSIRAK RUINS, CHECK! BTW, there is a one more task - antiship strike. AFAIK, Falcon doesn't have the ASM in its arsenal, so, maybe you prefer the Hornet over it. But Hornet not so widely distributed around the World. What is the most important thing about the F-16 or MIG-29SMT is that both of them are in the REAL service. Yes, there is only one regiment of SMT in RuAF, but it's far more, than: Su-25T - 1 AC in RuAF - not combat-ready, AFAIK, VIKHR ATGMs never been in production, only amount of prototypes produced by the developer, KBP-Tula. MIG-29G - how many of them?! 1 or 2 prototypes in the MIG's hangar, i think? Even my lovely Ka-50 - 4 or less combat ready ACs in RuAF, same story with the Vikhr as for Su-25T. TBH, i really-really-really bored by the "alternate reality" in the most realistic and coolest combat simulator at the market. That's WHY we need the REAL multirole fighters - they can perform all these tasks, more or less well. And we CAN'T ask ED "please, give us the ten different types of AC's to fullfil all roles in the modern air warfare". So make your choice carefully, guys.
