  1. Why there is no Kosmosima and MCg grips for Gladiator pro MK1 base?
  2. Well if very loud CH pedals arent a problem for my kids sleepin nearby then I would be ok with VKBs. I heard they are very precise what I need for aiming. And I dont have room nor cockpit setup for MFGs.
  3. Hi all, I would like to get those pedals but my friend told me the springs are loud (he onws them). CAM can be also loud unless I invert the CAM but springs are always loud. I dont want to make any super modding of the NEW pedals. I know I can apply shrink tube to the springs though doing anything to the new high end pedals feels kinda over the edge....Im kinda over the edge now with buying pedals...MFGs are too unconvinient for my desktop office chair and desk and I have my gaming PC in the living room so no room for cockpit setup.....Now I have CH pedals and like them but they are not very precise...
  4. Are they gone? Pedals are not available for few months now...nothing on when it will be availble soon...
  5. EDTracker Pro Wireless firmware updates history: 3.1 - original release 3.2 - fix side mount orientation; automatic magnetometer degauss may improve experience for some users 3.3 - fix for mag 180 degree wrapping issue that affected small portion of users 3.4 - reworked mag logic for improved resistence to drift with external interference 3.5 - address temperature compensation yaw drift You see, that would fix. Just firmare update. Trackhat is ok but imho Edtracker is better. trackhat is another IR tracker but much weaker than TrackIR. Anyways you soldved your problem.
  6. Pro version? Wifi or wired? Im using pro wired version, no probs. Im asking because pro version shouldnt drift. Alos make sure theres no mobile phone near the edtracker unit. Also here you can find latest firmwares for Wifi and wired versions. Make sure you set the right position odf the unit in edtracker pro software (depending where the unit is placed on head - on which side is the microusb cable attached) and to make a proper calibration. And, if you use opentrack, download the 2.3.0 version which works well with Edtracker pro. Opentrack v2.2.0 had some issues with drifting.
  7. There is an option in edtracker software - AUTOCENTRE. Untick that (turn it off). Edtracker Pro version doesnt drift. Its working perfectly. And is smoother than TiR5 on mid range systems, also no light dependancy. Pseudo 6DOf is working fine (actual roll for lean out view).
  8. You must be jokng. Crosswinds are another dimension from plastic crap of CH and saitek. Not only in durability, feeling and precision but in customization also.
  9. What would be the price with shipping to EU (CRO)? VKB mk3 or mk4? Though new ones are 230$ from EU store (with shipping and tax) and it will be available in january 2019.....
  10. I woder why Milan abandoned the combat footrests production. So whoever make the combat footrests would profit alot. BTW, these (from the pic) look great and pedals look "more right".
  11. VR is not fo everyone. Few yers ago I suffered from vestibular neuritis (inflammation of inner ear) and thankfully I recovered but I cant go on rollercoaster on example (not that I would go anyways in my age haha). I will get sick. Some guys without any health issues are getting motion sickness for a longer period after using VR. So if you can you need to try it first then buy it if everything goes ok. And VRs are still imperfect. Picture quality isnt right still, spotting enemy aircraft isnt easy and you will need a much stronger rig to run a sim decently with VR than with TrackIR or similar. TrackIR and even EDtracker Pro are much better for folks mentioned above.
  12. Funny. I found out default #20 springs are about right. Why do you need to "wrestle" the desktop joystick. Its not a real piloting. And its easier to aim with #20 springs IMHO. Ofcourse with extension you should go for 40# or 50#. I have KG12 grip and MCG grip is a bit taller so maybe, just maybe I would go with #30 springs on MCG but never beyond that (that is without extension).
  13. I believe they are great but more suitable for heli pilots.
  14. In the meantime (while I was saving for new pedals) I was using borrowed set of CH pedals. To my surprise they arent narrow at all for me. They are OK. Ofcourse they arent so precise and smooth. Plastic fantastic feeling is there. So VKB MK4 pedals are back for consideration along with the Crosswinds. Other high end pedals are just too expensive for me. So the comfort shouldnt be an issue with VKBs. Also VKB shouldnt be loud clicking (with full pedals pressed) after reversing cams (also softer detent there). Somebody said ankle movements more precise/fine than foot/knee. Then again Crosswinds are still more comfortable and more adjustable (having brakes not a huge plus imho) and they can be velcroed so no issues with instability. The only darn thing missing are combat footrests (heels on the floor style) and I dont have a knowledge of buliding custom ones which would be ok. Also I have a regular desk and not a simpit. Kinda hard decision. Here is VKB MK4 and CH size comparation: EDIT: also it seams the range of motion of the pedal bars itself seems too short?
  15. I dont have time (knowledge I would learn probably) to make combat footrests. But these are loking good enough. Is anybody willing to make one I would buy it? All I need is to be able to rest my heels on the floor.
  16. I have a Gladiator pro MK1. I installed softer cams (10) and the softest springs (really, they are hard enough, I dont see a point for stiffer ones just to have a strong resistance). Im still getting used to that "metal gimbal" feeling with progressive resitance when moving a stick further away. Im coming from regular Gladiator. But I do have a question. I noticed that CAMs (after 4 months of use) are a bit "worn" on the part where the gimbals are travelling. Not really a serious wear just a "marks" of travel. Ste stick is working fine but I wonder if this is normal. Should I order a new CAMs? Is it just a covering that is worn so I see "travel marks"?
  17. These pedals are great the only problem is I think it really misses the combat footrests so we can rest our heels on the flor. I think this design is better for fatigue, more comfortable and more natural (like in real plane). I will definitely buy MFGs and will se what I can do if the combat footrests doesnt produce by then....anywas the MFGs are awesome. BTW im just thinking...Initial footrests could be like they are now but shorter so we can roatete hem upside down and use them as "combat" footrests so the heels are on the floor. In "normal" position they would be just like they are now (with the small bumb on the lower part for heels). An original drawing for "combat" footrests from Milan: DIY solution https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=62714 BTW I have one question for Crosswind owners. I noticed that "tension spring" is located on the left side of the pedals. That doesnt feel strange when using them? I mean spring resistance is equal on booth foots (qually when you push left and right pedal)?
  18. I cannot decide between BRD, VKB and MFG. MFGs are the widest and most comfortable but there still isnt a "combat" version of foot rests (Milan said long ago he will make them) compatible with MFG pedals where heels are on the floor. BRDs are nice but dont know anything about them besides pictures. VKBs are kinda more heli pedals and apparently very narrow (like CH) which I dont realy like to be honest. Also MFGs are adjustable in many ways.
  19. Guys, who owns VKB MK4. One user said it is very easy to accidentaly move the pedal since the footh is resting on them. And this can be an issue if you use them on longer flights becasue your foot cant be fully "rested " on them since otherwise you will push the pedal down a bit.....when you in a straight flight. What is your experience?
  20. Nice...but i would ask 10$ pledge for 3 free planes....what? Kickstarter will be saved with massive 1$ pledge???
  21. Giving three (and most attractive) planes for free is main reason why we didnt reach 150000..aslo CLOD fiasco didnt help, although, it wasnt all Luthiers fualt...
  22. from the interview: RPS: Will hedge-hopping DCS WWII pilots need to worry about vegetation collisions? Ilya: My long and painful experience with past projects forces me to add a warning here that all features are subject to change and so on and so forth. And, the answer is yes.
  23. Ilya, you deserve support.
  24. Its probably too early to ask for the new, upcoming DCS engine...but...what do you think, what would be the recommended rig for this?
  25. And nobody said its their fault..
