That can be the problem, SFM vs AFM, I tested it on F86 & MiG21. Thats the two primary rides for me now. Looking forward for your solution, thanks to both of you :thumbup:

Teej, probably it wasnt problem in the past, but now this doesnt do a thing. No luck. The axis value just oscillates around the center in the "axis tune"and thats it, no move in game. Could you pls think of any other way to do this? Lucifah sry for using your thread ;)

Teej you really rocks, but.. I have one specific - it is possible (this way or another) to assign throttle axis to mouse scroll wheel? this is my all time favorite nut to crack in DCS :) I did try adding simple line into mouse.lua but no luck, wondering if some kind of 'complicate' workaround will work

obviously something broken at my end after last patch.. server seems to work flawlessly :thumbup:

I dont know, but check the picture again.. right bottom corner.. doesnt looks to me like throttle or stick.. ;)

if the mouse nipple on the X55 sucks, maybe better will be small trackball. with a small trackball I will be really thinking about it.

maybe on some planes, but.. yesterday I wasnt able to load standard material like chaff/flares racks, UB16 boxes etc. under the MiG21, this was all available before.. Crimson, pls dont let the rules and restrictions rule and restrict the fun ;)

Crimson GREAT server! (it was imho) I liked it much better when it was simple.. now the added 'features' (awacs, restricted loadouts, no friendly icons on the map..) just push aside the fun at least for me.. But thats just me, maybe others have fun anyway :)

hi veteran in DCS it is not possible to use mouse axis (touchpad) as the throttle. It is weird but I really dont know why the devs decided this way. In other games there is no problem to map mouse buttons/axis or scroll wheel as throttle. DCS is just different.

thx Sokol, I am just curious what size the Russian engineers used as ideal while constructing the throttle handle. If I will build my own handle ever, I will rather use size which will fit my hand... PS: According to the diameter of the gear handle from your link the throttle handle diameter 'D' seems to be cca 50mm what actually is the size which fits my hand :)

I encountered the same after the last patches (no steam)

best simple joystick (no HOTAS) is imho already mentioned TM T.16000M. Or wait for the GLADIATOR from VKB, slightly higher price is expected but you know for what it is in this case I think. and I dont have problem with Aim120s, I fly only M2k vs M21 servers ;)

I was playing DCS in 1024x768 for some time, is the VR worse than that? :music_whistling: Regarding the video, I just see a guy in front of big screen. I mean is hard to say how immersive it is just from video. what is the type of the monitor anyway?

by the time when you will be buying VR we will be buying your big screens :thumbup:

I understand your view/stand point hegykc and also agree that for many people with this price tag it will not be affordable. On the other hand Lynx, I think you will find your customers even if you wants to go your way. GL to both of you guys!

actually that picture is captured without zoom, just shot from distance. it is then zoomed in picture editing program to better see the missing parts. when you are looking around from your cockpit without zooming this can be the difference to spot the target or not, imho
