as I assume from your signature CyDoN you are from Europe so there should be also this option Defender Cobra M5. good value for the price and with great looks. For the option with generic looks there is the mentioned Thrustmaster T.16000M. these two are great for the starters and beyond imho. what else needed for the beginning? keyboard and mouse but these you already have for sure :)

What I want to suggest (to moderators) is to moderate better the 'Input and Output' and 'PC Hardware and Related Software' forums as there is real mess :thumbup: ..or make them one forum and the mess will turn to order :music_whistling:

Lets say I agree with this, but how about a MiG21bis FC3 style? It should be very easy to handle for LN and will/can attract more causal players of DCSW. It can serve also as a 'demo version' so people can try FC3 MiG21 and if they like it they can upgrade to full DCSW module ;)

hi darnell, to be honest all the questions you are asking were already asked and answered somewhere here on this forums. try to search a bit and you will be overwhelmed with all the info you will find ;) anyway in short x55 is OK for its price but pay attention to the ergonomics if it fits your needs. It is good for the startup as it has the twist and you dont need pedals right from the start. MFGs or Slaw pedals are perfect for your whole vpilot carrier, you will not be disappointed. Consider also one big screen (40-50" or similar) instead of triple small monitor setup. Oculus Rift is cool in case you can afford it, it will push you vexperience to other level.

If I can remember correctly I have done all these things already on actual map instead of crossing channel of course. My point is that this is not limited by the map, but by the mission setup imho. Of course proper map can bring some immersion to many players, there is no doubt.

Talking about ACES HIGH, maybe some kind of event will boost a little server population in specific times. Like mentioned ACG CLOD sunday events. Like squad night or something, so all people will know that during this day(s) and hour(s) there will be something going on.

funny, I am just wondering if all this everlasting discussions regarding which red or blue plane is better or not, correct or not will ever end with the proper map, proper ground units etc :) My last two engagements in Mustang: the one before the last I scored hits on 190, then he disengaged; the last sortie I did shoot down 109; And guess what!? I never exceeds 61/3000, I dont use WEP at all ;) And not to forget, it is obvious from online stats that the Mustang is the most favorite craft among all allied WWII airplanes in DCS.. ha ha.. :D

back on topic ;) I dont play regularly because I dont have enough spare time, so simple :) But when I fly I dont care about missing proper map, I dont care about missing proper ground units, I dont care about missing bombers etc. I am player - virtual pilot. I read 200 pages manual and I fly my bird. I am following the mission briefing, trying to get my job done and bringing my baby home in one piece. Thats it! I dont care if the forest 12kft below me is pine or oak, if the river is called Nile or Volga. Ground below me is only good for not to fly above sea all the time ;) I am just fighting for the victory no matter where. What else needed? so simple :)

In one case "mine had small metal splinters floating in the grease".

my mouse MS InteliMouse Optical have programmable also the wheel button. so I can enter panning with single click as I have mapped keyboard key to the wheel button. btw 11 prog buttons? cool mouse :)
