no early access buy for me... as long as the F-18 is in an unfinished state. I don't wanna have spent hundreds of bucks on unfinished products that take years to complete. And if the global politics continue to go like they do at the moment, we're gonna have WW3 even before the F-18 is finished.

Now I feel like I wanna skip summer 2019...

does anyone know wich is the best nvidia driver version at the moment for VR? i noticed a huge performance drop since my last nvidia update. i wanna do a rollback to the best version, if there exists a "best one". or maybe just wait for the next update? have you got any tips regarding nvidia drivers?

Are the external sounds of the F-14 already finished? Those Internal sounds are great, but external sounds are not very nice. Compared to the hornet a replay in F11 mode sounds very unreal and the sounds are quite much the same, no matter from wich angle the aircraft is seen/heard. Heatblur, please tell me you will do something about it in the future!:cry: (btw it was my very first replay of the F-14 that was not broken. so whoever fixed this... thank you a lot!!!)

Hey fellow pilots! maybe it's just a personal feeling, but to me it seems that in almost every forum section regardless of the module, there are countless wishes for easy options. "can you please make an easy option for this", "please make an easy option for that" Do those wishers even know that DCS is meant to be a simulator? As the title says Digital Combat SIMULATOR. For me a simulator should aim to be as close to reality as it can anyhow get and easy options should not be there at all. What is the purpose of a simulation, when every difficult thing it should simulate can be deactivated or cheated through an easy option?! It just makes no sense for me. Is the flood of arcade gamers actually spilling over on the lands of hardcore simmers eventually degrading our beloved simulator to an acecombat-like game for casual gamers by their countless wishes for easy options?! (only some written thougts and of course you don't have to comment unless you really have to):smilewink:

Yes. Of course, you are right. Even if you tell me 1+1=5. And an aircraft without usable switches is almost a perfect simulation of it's real world counterpart. Sure it is!:thumbup: You want DCS as an arcade game, I want a high fidelity simulation. And I don't want ED to use developing resources for implementing unrealistic stuff like easy refuelling or similar easy options. And believe it or not, this is again only my personal opinion. So please feel as offended as you want!:smilewink: I'm out of this discussion.

Yep. And that is only EDs fault. They wanna make more money and so they have to sell "half baked aircraft" for everyone. FC3 and MAC are nowhere near a simulation. In fact only the full fidelity models are simulations of their real world counterparts. Everything else is just arcade game crap to make money

Maybe you're right BUT the title says "Digital Combat Simulator" not "Digital Combat Easy Acarde Mode Game" and if you ask me about what a simulator should be then i would say "as close to reality as it can get" and because of this easy options are maybe a nice extra for players, but an unnecessary feature for a simulation which should indeed simulate real conditions. Again. This is just my personal opinion and i'm not sorry if anyone feels offended.:smilewink:

Well, i think DCS isn't really about "hop in and be maverick" from day one. It's the very best air combat simulator available on the market and to "play" it properly you have to train hard to get better. "Easy something options" are not a thing for me but it's just my opinion. I even learned a little russian to get the migs going without those english cockpit mods. But again. It's just my opinion. If someone needs those easy options then it's totally okay for me. I just never touched them and never will...
