Thanks a lot for the news! So we'll get the 4K/VR-fix next wednesday, right!?:music_whistling:

same here. some very annoying stutters during quick maneuvers / sudden control inputs. settings untouched since the last ~9 updates. Please ED, work on these issues before introducing new "features" that mess up with our systems even more.

my options.lua if needed options.lua

my 1080Ti (OC) is @99%-100% (Task Manager) most of the time while flying in VR... ...I'm curious what this would be on the RTX 2080Ti with the same settings.
-
same here. clickable only if desktop-resolution is @1920x1080. not clickable if desktop-resolution is @3840x2160.

Thank you, NineLine! I hope you guys can find the problem soon... ...must have been already a hard (and long) weekend for you all...:( Good luck and thanks for your hard work! (in the meantime I found myself flyin' in 2D and TrackIR again... and my ratings in case1 carrier landings got horrible again... though beautiful to watch in 4K. :D)

So only oculus-pilots are grounded by the last update?
-
same here... VR unplayable now... was perfect before the last update+hotfix... ED, you have to buy some more VR headsets, because otherwise you won't be able to test it properly before releasing new updates. I think VR is the future of flightsimulation therefore you should take more care of the simmers who spend thousands of dollars on their hardware to make the VR-experience possible. These are the guys who want to throw their money at you whenever you only announce a new module, no matter if it's a map, some additional assets or a new aircraft. Take care of them and don't let them grounded for weeks just because you're unable to test the VR-side of DCS before releasing new updates. Just my honest opinion. Don't wanna be offending.

Dear ED, would you mind making at least one of a hundred updates that doesn't mess up EVERYTHING?! It seems that after every update one has to reconfigure almost everything to have some flyin' fun!

same here. a little clicking the buttons in ME and dcs crashes right away... (added 3 crash logs... but could provide a lot more...:D) dcs.log-20180901-151113.zip dcs.log-20180901-151753.zip dcs.log-20180901-152640.zip

I tried to download/install the 2.5.3.21107 Open Beta hotfix today, but the messagebox "couldn't connect to server" appears every time I try to update. does anyone else have this problem currently? edit: found the reason... some routers from my telecomunications-provider went down for a while due to heavy thunderstorms... ...updating now.:D

it seems obvious then: dual throttle -> sometimes uneven AB-ignition. single throttle -> thrust perfectly even on both engines -> always simultaneous ignition maybe you have to invest in a dual throttle to see these "special effects";)

I'm incapable of detecting and countermeasure incoming missiles
JumpinK replied to kunterbunt's topic in DCS 2.9
?!?!?! :shocking: I'd rather get killed another thousand times than going back to 2D from VR! :pilotfly: -
This DOES HAPPEN on my flights sometimes! I think it's because of the slightly different throttle positions when pushing them forward. what kind of throttle do you use? single or dual throttle?!
-
perfectly fine before the update... ...almost unplayable in VR now.
-
You can set it up in mission editor. just click on your aircraft-group / waypoint 0 and select "group close" in advanced waypoint ootions. Works fine but if you tell your wingmen to open up the formation during your flight, they do not get back into the "group close" formation as there is no radio command for it. That's what I've experienced so far...

What new feature of the Hornet are you most looking forward to?
JumpinK replied to Wags's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
since our hornet pilot wears the jhmcs-helmet since day one... ...I'd love to see some A/A symbology in it. edit: I wanna shoot my 9X around the corner! ;) -
many many thanks! Edit: I also added the "anchor here" command in my comm.lua Time for a test run now...

there are some pretty good user-made missions to download... single player https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/?set_filter=Y&arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=1&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=535&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&set_filter=Filter and multiplayer https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/index.php?set_filter=Y&arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=2&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=535&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&LICENCE_FREE=yes&set_filter=Filter ...they're absolutely worth a try and some of them are really really well done! ;)

That gave me an idea... thinking of "modifying" my 2nd jetseat now...

"The German and Austrian postwar criminal code makes the public showing of the Hakenkreuz (the swastika), the sig rune, the Celtic cross (specifically the variations used by white power activists), the wolfsangel, the odal rune and the Totenkopf skull illegal, except for scholarly reasons (and, in the case of the odal rune, as the insignia of the rank of sergeant major, Hauptfeldwebel,[152] in the modern German Bundeswehr). It is also censored from the reprints of 1930s railway timetables published by the Reichsbahn. The eagle remains[where?], but appears to hold a solid black circle between its talons. The swastikas on Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain temples are exempt, as religious symbols cannot be banned in Germany. The German fashion company Esprit Holdings was investigated for using traditional British-made folded leather buttons after complaints that they resembled swastikas. In response, Esprit Holdings destroyed two hundred thousand catalogues.[153][154] A controversy was stirred by the decision of several police departments to begin inquiries against anti-fascists.[155] In late 2005 police raided the offices of the punk rock label and mail order store "Nix Gut Records" and confiscated merchandise depicting crossed-out swastikas and fists smashing swastikas. In 2006 the Stade police department started an inquiry against anti-fascist youths using a placard depicting a person dumping a swastika into a trashcan. The placard was displayed in opposition to the campaign of right-wing nationalist parties for local elections.[156] On Friday, 17 March 2006, a member of the Bundestag, Claudia Roth reported herself to the German police for displaying a crossed-out swastika in multiple demonstrations against Neo-Nazis, and subsequently got the Bundestag to suspend her immunity from prosecution. She intended to show the absurdity of charging anti-fascists with using fascist symbols: "We don't need prosecution of non-violent young people engaging against right-wing extremism." On 15 March 2007, the Federal Court of Justice of Germany (Bundesgerichtshof) held that the crossed-out symbols were "clearly directed against a revival of national-socialist endeavors", thereby settling the dispute for the future.[157][158][159] Legislation in other European countries ..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

I'd love to see the option in the radio menu to tell my wingman to get to the tanker. unfortunately my wingman has to eject very often during my flights in nttr because he doesn't ever go to any tanker nor does he find his way back to creech afb. can you please add this option or at least make wingmen able to return to base @bingo?!
